But the vote is actively wasteful. Not only its asking for things we are likely to get for free, but also things that don't really matter.

It's quite a waste for what's liable to be a big sacrifice.

I don't want to ask for knowledge, this is an enemy of Yss, he should be quite happy to tell us everything about it for free, after all that mean if we ever encounter it again, there's a bigger chance we kill it again, and that would benefit Yss, I would rather see what Yss chose to give us, than pay for information Yss is going to want to give us because it cost him nothing, and might inflict another defeat on an enemy of his.

While that would certainly be more useful to Viserys' long term goals it would also require more managing, and he has to get to Runesone tomorow.

I dont see Asking for knowledge about this enemies and potentially related snakes as payment for the sacrifice, its more like "oh, while we are here, can you tell us what that was about? and let me tell about this other 2 mysterious snakes i know about"

It would be fine if we just spread the story a bit that this is the magisters fault somehow, because they had someone misuse magic in their name.

Though we could back it up by sending Tyene over for a few days next month, if that's what you mean.
