I still want to make a three headed steel dragon for him, animated by raw fire.I'm not too interested on this vote. Just remember to avoid using all our money.
Also, don't buy a mount for Richard. He is getting his own wings or a Nightmare to complete his Metal Album cover look
The Ceru are int 13 magical beasts. So... Slaves.
@DragonParadox, can Tyene cast comprehend languages on the Ceru so we can ask them some yes/no questions, if they would like to come and live in our realm and see if they might like to be familars to some of our mages, if they find any that are acceptable -, and if not any sutible are found, then that's fine too.
Rhaella and possibly Valaena familiar get!

Speaking of dragon constructs. @DragonParadox, can we use the Forgefiends as template or raw materials for the Wyrmlings?
Shouldn't Tongues work? If they are sapient, they should comprehend some form of language.
The more magical beasts we have, the greater our options to experiment and give neat familiars to our baby PCs and mages. The better the variety and cooler the abilities, the better off we are. That luck reroll thing is some serious potential right there.I don't really see the point of Ceru. Their ability works on one roll per day unless they have a lot of HD or have a powerful spellcaster as a master. What do we need them for? Also they are sapient (their Int is higher then average human's even), so that also counts as slavery.

Ceru are only available as improved familiars to 7th-level casters, so Valaena and Rhaella have a long way to go before that is an option for them.
They're still a really neat thing to have. I'm sure we could come up with a suitable arrangement like we did with our Blink Dogs. They could become full-fledged members of our kingdom.Ceru are only available as improved familiars to 7th-level casters, so Valaena and Rhaella have a long way to go before that is an option for them.
Unless you count 7th level as baby PCs, Ceru are not the valid pick for them. They are also intelligent and thus any experiments are questionable.
... Yeah. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking we're not actually going to get that much use out of the Ceru. @LockedMind has ended up convincing me.Ceru ARE really neat. But I am not sure if we will get enough use out of them for that. We all have familiars already. Except Lyra maybe?
HA! You Faceless'd me beautifully. I was literally right in the middle of making that exact vote. No complaints. After thinking about it the Ceru are all kinds of not worth it.@Duesal, @Paradosi, switching votes. The utility of the Ceru isn't really that great after giving it some thought.
[X] Plan Acid And Horses
-[X] 2x Ankheg (Male, Female) - 360 SC
-[X] 3x Istaheq (Male, 2x Female) - 2700 SC
-[X] Total Cost: 3060 SC
Leaving us with 940 SC. While we could squeeze in another Istaheq, we can just buy more at a later date and I don't want to blow all of our money.
It's 2360 IM for something that we don't know what to do with and that may or may not count as keeping slaves.I'm kind of hesitant about letting them out of our hands, not when we got the opportunity via a 96 on a d100. Is 1180 SC really all that big a deal?
1180 SC is the equivalent of 2360 IM. That's money we could be spending on Adamantium or magic items.I'm kind of hesitant about letting them out of our hands, not when we got the opportunity via a 96 on a d100. Is 1180 SC really all that big a deal?
I think they happen to be pretty meh for a high roll, while the Istaheq seem good for a non-crit. I suppose there's just more great mounts then there are familiars.I'm kind of hesitant about letting them out of our hands, not when we got the opportunity via a 96 on a d100. Is 1180 SC really all that big a deal?
None, unfortunately@TotallyNotEvil if theres a spot open could you invite me the the legion discussion? I have a few ideas I want to toss around.
But this. I feel we should get a breeding pair just because. They do make excellent familiars.I'm kind of hesitant about letting them out of our hands, not when we got the opportunity via a 96 on a d100. Is 1180 SC really all that big a deal?
They are incredibly overpriced, and if we could bring that down it could be great, but the thing with the horses is that we already have a pretty amazing infrastructure to breed hybrids. Our Dothraki already have the best steeds in the mortal world, we just need to put the stallion out to stud among the normal mares. The horses are horribly expensive. 1800 IM each? A grown, trained griphon goes at 800 IM on SRD!
