If the universe didn't want its creatures to be treated as walking, talking piles of loot, they shouldn't have made them have strange biologies composed of valubale arcane materials which were easily repurposable!

Nor should they have made virgin maidens delicious. Dragons have a bad reputation because of circumstances far beyond their control.

Beyond their control, I tell you!

I think the strongest selling point is preserving the body for raise dead in case of PC death. I could see one or maybe two being made, with the expectation that it's pretty much Viserys who would use it for corpse looting.

It would need Lya time, though.

Exactly. I mean - gold. 'nough said.

Wait, we're prioritizing this? :D I'm pleasantly surprised.

We should have made more Bags of Holding months ago, but now that Lya is finally learning the spell, there is no excuse to delay any further.

Rather than making a baseline Corpse-Ferrying Bag, however, I think we should make a Type III Bag of Holding/Corpe-Ferrying Bag. It's not prohibitively heavy, but has a much, much greater carrying capacity. And even adding on the Gentle Repose effect shouldn't significantly increase the price. Even if DP decided it increased the base value to 9,000 gold, that would only cost us 675 IM. Well worth the expense.

Some sort of bag of holding upgrade is clearly needed. TNE wanted to complete the Earrings for the party, and make stun immunity items. Azel wants his Wyrmlings in time to use Tyrosh as a field test.

Some prioritization is going to need to happen at this point, even with Lya spending real days on crafting next month.

Alright, I'm very happy about this. But for Viserys is there any reason we shouldn't just go all the way and get a Type IV Bag of Holding/Corpse-Ferrying Bag? It has an increased 500 lbs carrying capacity to what you're proposing. This is a long-term investment, it's more than worth it. And then maybe one or two of the normal corpse-ferrying bags for the mini-parties we send out.

60 pounds is a significant weight to carry for any party member. It wouldn't be much of an issue for LHD+ Viserys, but he's not often in LHD+ form, except for the rare suitable combat encounter.

With a weight of 35 pounds, Viserys (Strength 12) could just barely carry the Type III Bag of Holding along with his clothes and personal gear while being Lightly Encumbered.

Never mind, then.

Any thoughts on a Portable Hold of Corpse-Preserving?

It's what I was about to propose. Add gentle repose to a portable hole.
About half an hour into our conversation Malarys begins diligently taking notes, having extended his mastery of language.
Best minion.

Inb4 there's a shaitan princess in the ark.

We're going to need to spend a lot on crafting supplies, btw. Assuming we're pressed for time, next month and the first month post-Tyrosh, to cover that and our current month's needs (and ~15 days of additional real Lya crafting in there, as buffer), we should probably purchase about 26,000 IM worth of crafting supplies.

That would put us at 61,989 IM, with 50,000 IM for Tyrosh (sellsword bonus, repairs, buying grain, etc.), leaving us with 11,989 IM for the continued upgrading of SD, plus whatever we loot from Illyrio and whatever we get as a reward from the Shaitan.

I'd prefer to just get a flat 30,000 IM so we can delay any further expeditions for more crafting supplies. It saves our time quite a bit. And as for Tyrosh, for the repairs we can invest in either Lyres of Building or in just having Party Members use Mending and Make Whole a lot. And with the food crisis, in true emergency we have Womb of The Earth. I think we can afford to take 4,000 IM out of that 50,000 Tyrosh nest egg for the sake of crafting materials, especially since a lot of the crafting materials will be going towards Tyroshi infrastructure anyway.
Now, we might be able to ask for crafting materials.
"Now, as a token of our gratitude, what do you want - a wish fulfilled, magic items, gold?"
"Now, I happen to have a list here ..."
I would cheer if this happened.
