"I would not precisely call it that, but it was a favored sort of vanity project for a certain set of wealthy noble scions who were not quite bold enough to improve upon their own flesh." He hesitates a long moment, looking almost embarrassed. "Generally the base form was not a Seeker, but one with a more recreational purpose."

"I can't precisely say I am glad to know all of that, but thank you for sharing it nonetheless," you answer, unable to keep back a grimace of disgust. If that was the main purpose of the Flesh Forge under Lys then you are almost glad you had found it in near-total ruin.
To recap, the Valyrians enslaved and corrupted a Land Warden, something that is entirely capable of sinking all of Lys to the bottom of the ocean, for this.

[] Hunter's Mantle: DC 36

[] Hunter's Instruments: DC 42
Okay, so, this is what the Assassin Devil's got:
DR: 10/good
Senses: blindsight 60 ft., see in darkness
Spell-Like Abilities (CL 14th): At will - dimension door, fog cloud, nondetection, tongues; 1/day - greater teleport(self plus 50 pounds of objects only)
Assassin's Shadow Step (Su): As a swift action, an assassin devil can turn invisible until the end of its current turn. The creature remains invisible even if it attacks. An assassin devil can use this ability at will.
Shadow Form (Su): As a swift action, an assassin devil can cause itself to turn into a shadowy, indistinct figure seemingly carved from pure shadow. While in this form, an assassin devil has concealment (20% miss chance) in all but sunlight or in the area of a daylight spell. In addition, an assassin devil gains a +4 bonus on Hide checks. An assassin devil can end this effect with a second swift action, and it can remain in shadow form for as long as it wishes.
As a guess I'm saying the Hunter's Mantle is the Shadow Form or possibly Assassin's Shadow Step, the Hunter's Instruments are the SLAs, and the Hunter's Instinct has me stumped. I have no idea what that could be.

Propably Blindsight, or Blindsense as a weakened version.
Alternativly maybe some Sneak Attack or generally skill-boni on assassin-skills?

Blindsight and sense are pretty good. We could almost trust it to defeat ambushes then.

Oath keeper has proven this many times.

So, the Valyrians created literal sex bio constructs, and improved upon them with outsider bits, most likely gotten from a Fiend or a Devil.

Like, what the fuck man?

They were rule 34 before the concept of the internet existed.

I don't know whether to be impressed, afraid, or ashamed that this is the legacy we're forced to inherit.

The thirst was real.

Well, we have entered into the terrain of pretty much succeedng any check.

[X] Hunter's Instincts: DC 32

For the sweet Blindsense. Seeker for best bodyguard.

We've burned a lot of high level spell slots today. We're taking Vee so she will have the Teleport destination in order to return the Renplacement later.

[X] Teleport to Storm's End with Vee to retrieve Dany, Lya, and Bronn, using two 4th level spell slots one way and a 5th level slot to return.
-[X] Have Lya cast Owl's Insight on Vee while Malarys Imbues her with a Divine Insight spell. Viserys uses Greater Shadow Enchantment to grant Vee a Grand Destiny spell.
-[X] Once prepared, Vee attempts to graft the Hunter's Instruments into the Seeker.

@DragonParadox how many level 4/5/6 slots to we have left?

I think we should leave it for the buffs tomorrow, but we will have to take Stannis and Frenly back to to the parlay and I would like to move the Tavern tonight, and we should BP the Devil again and lock it in an air-holed box and put a guard on it or whatever the procedure for the maynads was.

Also, I think I would like to offer it a painkiller if we can easily make one. A petty kindness to a monster.

But not if it takes more than one or two hours of work to create.

We are harming it, weakening it, and it will suffer further from our actions in hell than if we did not diminish it. I am totally on board with that. But there is no need to make it suffer pain in the process if we can prevent such. Not for it, but for Viserys.

Not expending to much effort to do so, but if reasonable...

Also reduces the chance of screams.

Valyrian sexbots confirmed

Can't do that or were breaching contract with the inn. Why not just bring Vee there, have Lya bless her, then have her bring both Viserys and her back.

@Goldfish, I'd like to get pretty much anything other than Hunter's Instruments this time. The SLAs are kind of meh with the Assassin Devil.

We've already got dimension door at will, and everything else is not very impressive. Even the Greater Teleport is only once per day.

The At-will invisibility seems way better.

  1. The assassin devil appears to be in some kind of deep self-induced trance.
  2. As for how many teleports you used... I'm afraid I have not been counting and I would not trust a guestimate this late. If someone could go back and check that would be best I think.

It will probably take turtling for breach of contract, for whatever that's worth.

Also for what it's worth the real enthusiasts grafted stuff to themselves. Only the posers used bio-constructs.

We can tell it that it's insurance to reducing chances of the devil finding some clever way of doing harm. For example, by communicating with anyone, and that we're not doing any actual harm by this curse, though it does of course leave it unable to take most actions.

I mean, that seems clear cut to me.

But if this is doable (the buffs) without waiting for tomorrow, I'm for that.
