I don't know. People may not like him, but he's known for no bullshitting bluntness. If he had a negative picture of us, other enemies, more charismatic enemies, would be quite happy to speak for him "Lord Stannis Baratheon has escaped from the cruel clutches of Viserys Targaryen! This is all the evil and bad things Viserys is doing and planning!"

"Yes." Stannis bluntly says before leaving the room.

True. But if we specifically told him we can't do it because for someone to be replaced in this matter they have to do it to themselves, he might never think to mention it.

The problem is thay Frenly is not a fey, so letting Stannis hit him might not providr accurate results.

Also, we should tell Frenly that the information we have on Renly is ambigous, and, though we are veering into conjecture, it is possible that Renly is dreaming inside Frenly for all we know. (so, ya know, don't commit suicide Frenly!)

Also, @DragonParadox, can we do a party knowledge check on the Fey who did this? Not now, but before we leave SD? According to teh internets, it's nature. Can we get vee to have a look, maybe under the remaining 3 charged true sight item if it's in SD?
 
I'm tempted to put down Artemis1992 for the sheer rant factor, but there is something to be said of getting to the point of the matter.

I'm not okay with calling them fakes.

Lya's Arcanums or this Renly here are clearly real people and should be treated as such.
If they are better lords than those currently in charge there's no reason not to get them in those positions.

I'm firmly against people handing around fiefs by trickery, especially to magic wrought copies.
What would have happened, had Asmodeus answered Renly instead of a Fey?

None the less, I have zero issues with making Fenly a Lord on his own merits or crafting people for the job.
Though I would generally prefer to have everything run by clerks and just figureheads as Lords.

I was trying to portray how the Lords in question would see it, rather than how we'd portray it. It's basically Pod People from their perspective. I'm actually quite transhumanist in my personal beliefs (given my attachment to my laptop and phone, a serious argument could be made that I am already a cyborg. :V).

And I'd have no roblem with things being run by Simulacrums, Arcanums or Clones of competent administrators.
How they come in power doesn't matter, if by us placing them there or by some other hand, as long as they do a good job.

I think he will in the long run, he hasn't even met him yet, and it will take him time to come to terms with the facts, his initial reaction need not be how he feel forever.

Yes.

But we'll break their current power structure anyway.
If we replace them, make them figurheads for bueraucrats or simply ensure that only heirs we think fit and competent for the post can inherit, in some ways we'll make the current system go kaputt.

I admit that making that clear right now is not the smartest move, but eventually people will catch on to that.

After lots and lots of diplomancing, maybe. You initially argued that Stannis would accept Renly as the heir to the original Renly, which he didn't. You argued that he'd accept Renly as an honorable man at least, but Viserys had to intervene to prevent Stannis from sending the man to his death for "justice" at Robert's court.

I don't see Stannis liking this Renly ever. Not unless he gets the original back.
