So you're saying... you want to host frequent tea times with Valaena so that she can exposition dump all she knows about Noble houses on us.

I mean, she'd be over the moon, I'm sure, but...

  • [X] Offer her a spot in the Academy, where she will be able to learn to harness the nascent magic that courses through her veins and perhaps even develop skills her father would not approve of for a daughter of House Velaryon, such as gaining some proficiency with a blade (putting her on the path to becoming an Eldritch Scion archetype Pathfinder Magus).
[X] Have her assist Alinor in her free time, if she so wishes.
[X] Have her manage the former household slaves of Westhaven as free people who may want to continue to use their hard won service skills.

[X] Suggest she takes up classes in the Academy, her blood should allow her great potential as a sorceress, and she seems a smart and willful enough girl to make use of it (phrase it as a compliment).

DP does an alright job of not making Good incompetent but Paladins are up themselves, if she thinks she's right as a Paladin she will disregard us and then we have to deal with that BS. No thank you, keep her tractable with a nice non-alignment based, action repenting class.
You can be a paladin of essentially any alignment, with minor differences in your skillset. Good, Evil, Law, Chaos, much like a cleric can come in any flavor.
She is not in the academy yet, it would take some convincing to make her take up magic.
Well, that clinches it:
[X] Suggest she takes up classes in the Academy, her blood should allow her great potential as a sorceress, and she seems a smart and willful enough girl to make use of it (phrase it as a compliment).

I'm amused that we have to specify that we find willfulness in young women to be endearing/attractive. Viserys knows where he gets his bread buttered. :lol

I thought she was in the Academy already. It's easy enough to point her that way.

Besides, we more or less let her free to pick her lessons. No Arya-doing-embroidery, I'm pretty sure she is picking Archery, Riding and perhaps even Sword lessons.

And it's not like learning the secrets of magic is a boring, onerous task.

Besides, I'm pretty sure DP wouldn't have hinted to her potential as sorceress so much if it weren't great, pretty sure she is rocking 16/18 Cha.

We should be pushier with people to learn the perilous and eldritch powers of magic as a matter of course. It gives one options!

Yes but not Lawful Neutral, you can be any of the extremes and none of them match what we want, someone who follows the rules of the land.

Lawful Good is out, too preachy and will disapprove of our sacrifices etc
Chaotic Good is worse.
Chaotic Evil, ha.
Lawful Evil...maybe, but I don't want Tyrannous dragon from the sky to be one of our most visible corps.

Edit: Sorcerer is so BORING. She's either vanilla Sorc which is lame, or she's fancy Sorc and steps on our toes. No thanks, Academy Sorc is for the nameless NPCs who make it through.

I want her diving off of Dragonback to impale someone with a spear instead of flying next to it and making the Dragon look impotent in terms of Fire.

@TotallyNotEvil How do you feel about Sorcerer/Marshall/War Weaver. Mass buffs, use the Dragon as a rallying point as it should be, buff it and all surrounding allies, a bit of down time utility and some ranged options without having people ask "What's the Dragon for?" plus it's actually interesting.

Aaand suddenly she's a General! Also consensus.

Inserted tally.

-[X] Lady Valeana, let me be honest with you. Times are changing like never before, throught the world magic stirs anew like old coal and dry kindling set alight by the winds of a coming storm. I intend to ride at the forefront of that change, to reap its increadible rewards not only to myself but to those I rule...
-[X] but I cant do it alone. I'll need trusted people with me every step of the way. A new breed of nobleman and noblewoman to tame, no, to master this new world. Able with sword, wit and sorcery, they will embody my will across Westeros and perhaps... perhaps even beyond... and I believe that if you concentrate on your studies and your training, you, Valeana, will be at the vanguard of such group. It will not be easy, they will not be thr knigths of old tales, there will be danger, mortal danger... but this I guarantee, Valeana... we will be able to create something for all the world to stand in awe.

We do need generals. Most experienced Westerosi generals are not available to us. Tywin Lannister, Robert Baratheon, and Ned Stark are all straight-out not available, and Barristan Selmy, Brynden Tully, and Randall Tarly need some pretty specific flags to become available (dismissal from Kingsguard, Alliance with or fall of House Tully, and alliance with or fall of House Tyrell).

To the discussion, we do need Knowledge (Nobility) and Knowledge (Warcraft) with our next level up. I'm also pretty sure Draconic Knowledge isn't going to help with Knowledge (Nobility).

Vee's such a softie. And Valaena shows some guts in asking Vee to bring her to Viserys so she could ask him.

Oh, we're still providing morale of Westhaven! Ok. Teleport for the win :D.

I was wondering why Valaena went to Vee rather than coming herself/requesting a meeting/went to Tyene. This makes sense, and shows a practical attitude to high level transposition magics, i.e. use them :D

That works too, my point is, she doesn't need to let go of being a sorceress in order to fill that niche you guys want for her.

So, basically, if we cast Summon TNE, it will come and provided us with a mildly gish class, with a bit of social and full CL progression to level 9 spells?

But... at what cost? AT WHAT COST, SLAVE OF UGLO!?

Edit: Draconic Knowledge give us fluff tour guide abilities when we showed Hermetia around Lys, and I think that was Knowledge History - and I doubt dragons knew that minutiae

Edit Edit (avoiding a billion posts): - We really need to get a pen-wyrm for Tyene. Still a bit confused about why she doesn't have one. Cost I presume. but next bit of gold should go for that (we gave Rockshaker 200 gold for saving people, and she would have been happy with a sincere 'thank you for protecting our people, you were scared, and you did it anyway'

"What is the Tyroshi position on common law marriage again?"you ask your servitor assistant. The little false-dragon's excellent memory for minutia has saved you more time that you can truly say.

"That it can exist only between freemen that are neither slaves or lords, tradesmen artisans..." comes the swift and sure answer followed by an a numeration of exceptions and even a few clever comparative inferences.
Can I just say I love our calligraphy wyrm? Best construct ever. Worth every single one of those 200 IM it took to make it.

I'll leave the specifics to the munchkins, but please let her be a magical general/warrior class. Spells, lances and magic is an awesome combination.

[X] Goldfish.

@Goldfish could you perhaps be a bit more specific with her activities? DP basically confirmed she's not doing the sword-archery- riding combo we wanted, and "doing activities her father did not approve of" could mean knitting embroidery in a reverse pattern for all we know.

Lets blast her with our charisma now and set her on the first step of her journey, our time is so constrained we are not likely to see her in a few months.
