Ah damn it, it's tempting me.

It might be something great, like Pendragon revealing the deposed secrets of valyrian lore he knows. Or an awesome template. Or any number of things.

I'd like golems for large scale stuff. Dread Legions, so to speak.

I suppose we could build a huge factory of dedicated wrights?
Resist the shiny trap. Our Doombots will gladly help you to bury any lingering regret with the spoils of their conquests and the broken bodies of our enemies.

That Golem is awesome. We need that guarding our treasure room. I'll gladly pay the 3400 IM if it means that we never get to worry about something stealing from us again.

EDIT: look at dis boys
Construct Traits: Constructs are immune to death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects), necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep, stun, and any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects, or is harmless). Constructs are not subject to nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain. Constructs are not at risk of death from massive damage.
It's like Constructs are ignoring half the combat system, isn't it?
You can only pound them into scrap with brute force and it tends to need a lot of that.

Yes, construct immunities are rucking awesome, before Immunity to Magic even comes in.

If we had, say, Damphair's horde of 25k IM, we could totally make a small death squad of constructs.

Killing Relath is getting more appealing by the day, he's bound to have even more cash by now, right?

We need to start making money in a state-scale.

Kinda getting tired of mystery box options, to be honest. They're a trap and people can't resist sticking their hand inside to see if they get a prize or a spider bite.

If the Pendragon can do something special as a familiar, it should damn well say so. We just saved its sorry little ass from a terrible fate, the least the pompous little turd could do is be forthcoming.

We should roll into Tolos and just announce to Relath that he has to pay the Existence Tax. We just saved his city and likely his life, as it's all but guaranteed the place would have been overrun by demons in short order if the gate was permanently wedged open.

I think 30,000 IM, or their equivalent in bullion, Valyrian Steel, or other high value trade goods would be an acceptable rate.

By the way, there are some interesting constructs in Monster Manual 4. From page 28 onwards there is a Clockwork cockroach made to clean stuff, but more importantly, there are swarms of LN constructs made to repair other constructs. We totally need to make some of those. Image an encounter made from a swarm of those things and a Glass Golem desined to grapple casters and interrupt them.

His full Attack is as deadly as any dragons, but 114 HP, AC 24, SR 21 looks a whole lot less threatening after the Mallor.

He would probably die within a single round if we got our three melee guys to whack at him. Especially after leveling.

His touch AC is 9. Hit with a single Pain Dart, Thunderclap with Alter Fortune rerolls, dead dragon.

For a change, his saves aren't even impossibly high!

It's sad how a dragon, with all-good saves and silly stats, has reasonable-looking saves after what we've fought.

Here's a useful construct. They require 12th caster level, however, so they're not in the immediate realm of possibility.

750 IM to craft, or just 1350 IM for an intelligent version. They can learn, gain skills, feats, etc, all while being absolutely loyal to us.

And these little guys would only run us 125 IM each.

Wait a minute. We've already met someone with constructs: Benerro the Flamekeeper.

His companions neither speak nor do they show their faces. Strange they do not have the look of guardsmen, nor really of priests. You hear a slight clinking sound as one moves past waymar. To our arcanely sharpened senses it does not quite sound like ringmail or any other kind of armor... more like gears of copper or brass.

The Spectator bobs slightly up and down, obviously charmed and not a little surprised at such a seemly greeting to which he responds in kind in his deep pleasant voice. The his many eyes drift to the "guards" and widen in recognition at once. "Are those functioning clockwork servitors... after all this time. However did you manage it?"

The priest's smile freezes for a moment and, for the first time this night, he seems at a loss for words.

Xor catches on to his error at once and stutters an apology. "Deepest pardons for giving away a secret holy one, It is in the nature of my kind to be observant..." he wiggles his eyes stalks sheepishly.

By the way, do you guys want to meet with Benerro? I'm almost certain he'd reward us for destroying the Gate.

Sure.

Still need to stop by Lamentation with Vee for Locate Obejct and Lay of the Land goodness.

Can someone get the cost for Clockwork Warrior?

Until the investments start flowing I say we focus our attention on beating discipline into our Minotaurs. :p

Rough outline for the next few days:

1. Take Vee to Lamentation and abuse Lay of the Land and Detect Object.
2. Teleport back to TD with the Shadow Tower and all your recruits.
3. Help Alinor as much as you can by getting everyone settled in.
4. On the following day, teleport to Volantis to retrieve the Seeker and to have a brief meeting with Benerro. Proceed to teleport back once finished.

Sound good? I just don't see the point of dragging the Shadow Tower to Volantis, so I figured we may as well just drop it off back home first.

On the topic of Qohor, there's no need to make it a week long detour with a group, on our way to Pentos*/Braavos just have the ship continue on course while Viserys takes a few days flight time to get a waypoint then meet back up, easy enough to fit in a couple of days in the future and this delays our current schedule exactly 0.

Alternatively we could have the ship continue on to Braavos, but instead of a Waypoint Viserys just meets them at Braavos via teleport. No need to waste time trying to find the—wait. No. Bad idea. Unless we ask Snek belt for safety confirmation, no sending ships out alone over Mindflayer territory.

I think we need to build a very secure vault for the Tower Plinth back at TD, one that prevents unauthorized teleportation.

The Tower is an outrageously valuable treasure, and it's small enough to be stolen. We don't want knowledge of it to spread, nor for anyone to discover that it's portable. I'm actually kind of leery, now that I think about it, of using it to transport random folks from Mantarys and Lamentation.

Paranoia levels are rising! :o

Deep slumber for everyone? I'm very wary of letting people know about it, too.

Could we excavate a Chamber beneath the tree? Seems like the obvious solution

The plinth itself needs its own personal guardian. If the devil could divine the Wish Gem, other things will no doubt be able to divine something literally three times as valuable.

Maybe we can do a combo of Teana's blood wards and the fae's anti-God measures on the plinth?

Does anybody knows how high is our Westerosi Bad Guy Counter (TM) at the moment?

I'm fairly sure that they will start to demonize what we do soon enough, and I want to know what are the things they can spread about us that are actually true.

I'm fairly sure that they will start to demonize what we do soon enough, and I want to know what are the things they can spread about us that are actually true.
The current rumors about us, or at least the things they should be talking about:

1. The fact that we're the head of a powerful mage's coven, originally from Braavos but recently of a more adventurous persuasion
2. We saved Lys from the undead plague and personally spoke to the Weeping Lady in public—that kind of thing spreads like Wildfyre
3. We conquered Torturer's Deep and killed the Damphair, but there are many rumors of human sacrifice
4. We apparently have a dragon?
5. We brokered a peace between the Reds and the Old Blood in Volantis
6. Alongside the Archons we conquered the demon city Mantarys in a single day, slew the great Serpent Demon, slew the Listener, and destroyed the Whispering Gate.

So out of these things and the expected rumors that spawn from them, we can expect to face accusations that WE were the ones to cause these problems to begin with. Because we obviously caused the undead plague and we're totally demon callers. Expect shameless outright lies.
