I thought they could? Alter Self normally allows for it, and that's what the ribbons are based on.

Huh... it has been a while since I read that spell. Not sure if it should really stack with Enlarge/Reduce. I mean take it in the other direction and you have a very powerful combat buff for three total spell levels.

Maybe have them interact poorly, to decrease the duration of the Fairy Cap? It's an Alchemical effect, so how about having a magical Reduce Person effect used along with it cutting the duration down by 90%, to just one minute?

Since it also takes a Full Round Action to eat one of the mushrooms, having only a minute for the overall doubled effect does make it more reasonable, IMO. That's not exactly something you can just put mid-combat, and it would only ever be useful in combat if used immediately prior to fighting.

Given that it is fairy nonsense it would be more on point to have it interact unreliably. So let's say a 20% chance to fail unexpectedly at some point during the combined effect.

What do y'all think? If we do it like this, Viserys and Richard would each only be Tiny-sized and weigh about 3 to 4 pounds each. Garin could easily use his stealth abilities while carrying both of them simultaneously without any penalty, but there is a decent chance one of the effects will end prematurely.

It would be the quickest and safest way to avoid the guards, assuming the effect doesn't glitch on us.

Iam ok with this but is there any spell or blessing we can do to reduce the chance of glitching (ex: alter fortune ,etc)

Not that I can think of, since it's a glitched fairy effect rather than a spell or power we could reroll.

Alternatively, we could have Viserys and Richard shrunk down to Small size then have Garin use Wild Arcana to cast Amorphous Form on each of them. They would each be Small-sized, but being basically fluid-like, they could easily fit in a bag or satchel. Viserys couldn't weigh more than 22 or 23 pounds at that size and Richard wouldn't likely be more than 32 or 33. If they made the trip carried one at a time, it would take longer, but there would be less chance for something to go wrong and this way shouldn't interfere much with Garin's stealth.

You know, gasses can do something that liquids and solids can't, they can be compressed to a fraction of the space the would take up if allowed to spread freely.

In that form we would be weightless and should fit into any magic bag Garin has on him.
Would this work, @DragonParadox? Could we compress down tightly enough to fit in a bag or even a bottle, at least for a few minutes? Would shrinking down to Small size first help?

I don't see any thematic reason why you could not. Some of the old vampire splat books note that a vampire using the (Su) version of that spell can turn themselves into a mile long string of mist and sense everything in the area so why not fit yourself into a bottle?

[X] Viserys and Richard will assume Gaseous Form and hide themselves on Garin's person, in bags, bottles, or even the folds of his cloak, so that he can sneak past the guards unimpeded.

[X] Goldfish

When you thought that Viserys has surprise army/kraken from his cloak, when it's actually Garin who has a surprise Viserys!
