Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.Dance in Three Steps
Eighth Day of the Fourth Month 294 AC
The path back through the Feywild is marked with closing paths and dying light, as though the realm itself can hardly wait to see the back of you. Given the perils you have faced within and those yet unnamed you have managed to avoid, you can safely say the feeling is mutual. Vee is grimly peering this way and that along the thorn studded ways, at times hissing out a spell to force a bold tendril of green or flash of eerie light back into the shadows. Of all your company, Maelor seems the most happy for the journey.
"Too damn long since I got into a fight where I didn't have to worry about the guard," he says, looking back at the bodies of the fallen Violet Court guard with more with satisfaction than with regret. It pays to keep in mind that for all the discipline the boy has taught himself over these last few years, the blood and the magic of demons flow through his veins and with them their drive to chaos and conflict. It will not be easy finding him a city he will not be bored administering.
The idle thought almost costs you having your hair set afire by some bluebell flower with a unique means of capturing its meals, if fire you can all it. Onwards and upwards, you tell yourself, through gritted teeth, reminded again that some places are not meant to be conquered, no matter how satisfying it may seem.

It is a pleasure to see a person who enjoys their work, and though it had taken you a while to read the subtle color changes and shifts in form that mark Qyburn's good cheer, you can now say with some certainty that it is a rare discovery that interests the flesh smith as much as the nulmind did. Not that he hesitates in saying so aloud.
"The confluence of arcane power and mental powers would at first seem similar to my own organ-clusters, but even a cursory examination would indicate it uses an entirely different organism, more energy-intensive perhaps, but one can never have too many alternative views. Don't you agree, your Grace?" His eyes grow ever greater facets along smaller and smaller fractals as he speaks.
"Certainly, keep me informed on anything you learn," you reply with a smile. "Oh, and if you have any interest in your newest tenant's former jailers, there is a book you could read, though under rather strict environmental conditions, I'm afraid."
Of course Dusk Dancer was not the only prisoner you returned with from the depths of the feywild, and the second proves far more of a cypher than the one whose secrets you can read at the turn of a page.

You expected rage, you expected fear, you would even have expected bargaining, though you counted it unlikely after the last stand of the Violet Court. What you did not expect was the words that passed the elder fey's lips as soon as he found himself inside the Snare, where so many fiends and other foes had been trapped and questioned. "The Herald of the Ferryman trapped me after I sought to snare it and spend her soul in battle against you, thus I would sooner throw myself upon His mercy than yours, Bloodied One."
The colors of his luminous form shift from the delicate violet of his former court to something approaching the deep blue, almost black of the deep seas.
Do you agree to the fey mage's deal?
[] Yes, the Ferryman can get more use out of him willing than you can get from a prisoner
[] No, you would rather not leave a resentful mage of his skill alive, even with a god's binding of service
[] Write in
OOC: A bit short, but I could not think of any other action that I could fit between this, other than the indigo mask hunt and I don't want to roll this so late. Not yet edited.
We forgot to ask about the curse arrows @DragonParadox . Any of them still recoverable? Does Dusk Dancer know the process to make them?
We've already voted to loot all we could, and since DP didn't get us anything more, we can assume that either:
a) nothing more to get, Fey lorde's body isnt there anymore, no arrows, no less to T!Renly
b) wait for next updates to see.
Edit: DP'd on the arrows.
@DragonParadox, any leads on Renly?
They are also the Lords of Air so I doubt stuff like Fickle Winds will work.So if the Winter Court made those arrows we can probably expect a lot more where that came from when the Long Night rolls around. FUN.
Just create a force field which literally burns projectiles out of the air. They are also the Lords of Air so I doubt stuff like Fickle Winds will work.
Whew, damn. @egoo, this needs some RA attention.Almost missed this
The arrows were relics of the dawn age (of the Winter court before they fell actually), no one outside the Farthest North knows how to make them. You guys got 8 of them.
It probably requires some highly questionable methods. As most of these things tend to.Whew, damn. @egoo, this needs some RA attention.
Anyone object to trying to figure out how to reproduce these things? Stackable -5 Will save penalty curses delivered by enchanted arrows are amazing.
Fickle Winds worked this time, and it's not the only option for warding off projectiles. They're insanely dangerous, but not something we can't deal with, especially with a bit of prep time. They are also the Lords of Air so I doubt stuff like Fickle Winds will work.
Probably, but it's probably worth discovering, if only to rule out the possibility of creating them ourselves. It probably requires some highly questionable methods. As most of these things tend to.
And I don't just mean morally grey, I mean insane.
I kinda do.Anyone object to trying to figure out how to reproduce these things?
Even Skeezy might have some workarounds, but I mean the creation methods might just be a little too unsafe for us to think about risking. They were produced by the Winter Fey prior to becoming Void-tainted, so they might not be too skeezy.
[X] "Mercy?"
-[X] Laugh. You're all out of it, unfortunately.
--[X] "Maybe you haven't been paying attention."
---[X] Interrogate him through the most thorough means possible, up to and including reformatting his memories into an Outsider either through the auspices of the Ferryman or Yss if your own methods do not bear fruit.
----[X] You are interested in secrets or lore, both mundane and esoteric, but if you can figure out hind or hair of where the originator of Renly the Changeling went, that would be on your very long list of questions.
We might want to look into more contingencies against these. If Winter had these arrows in the good old days, who wants to bet that the Void has some upgraded, much worse version of them? They were produced by the Winter Fey prior to becoming Void-tainted, so they might not be too skeezy.
Aife serves us on the same agreement as Nirah, if Aife grabbed him while on her mission the last month - we wouldn't have shouldered in, but here this guy is our loot/responsibility entirely.Shouldn't we make sure the 'Ferryman' isn't going to get seriously pissed for blowing this off?
It's less "Hurr Durr, let's torture Fey because we can" tbh, and more of a "oh wow, this lil' bitch was really strong. Can we use her while she's still alive, then, and maybe get a really strong minion?" to me. :/Guys seriously reformating peoples personality is blatantly evil. Just let the fae die. They haven't done all that much to us. The anger against them is seriously overblown and is honestly getting disturbing.
Considering how much we've fed him I think he'll let it go.Shouldn't we make sure the 'Ferryman' isn't going to get seriously pissed for blowing this off?
Hell we could just feed him Dusk Dancer instead. After we're done performing horrifying experiments on them of course.Considering how much we've fed him I think he'll let it go.
[X] Crake
Could we just not let it die. There is a reason surrender and captured enemies are treated well. If we just torture or mind rape them into submission the next semi rational enemy will fight use to the deathIt's less "Hurr Durr, let's torture Fey because we can" tbh, and more of a "oh wow, this lil' bitch was really strong. Can we use her while she's still alive, then, and maybe get a really strong minion?" to me. :/
Not that different from what we did to Tor, ey?
