No, I meant, that the stuff you are assigning is justifiable to be there, in addition to the CDG already moving out now that silly politics wont stop us
Definitely justifiable. I fully intend to extract all the lore Brandon Stark left buried in there, and I expect if Winter tries to stop us they'll have to fight through most of that to do it--which is a moot point since I don't expect them to be capable of doing so before word gets back to us.
It's more that he rolled one 10 (-2 for being a kid) and I assigned it to STR since you don't really need strength if you have the right weapon and someone else in the party to carry the loot.
[X] Permanently ward one of Lord Stark's chambers with Mage's Private Sanctum and leave a Whispering Brazier here for regular contact.
[X] Make plans for what kind of Defenders you will have forged this month for the Starks.
-[X] A Vigilant Hunter will be invisibly posted around each Stark at all times, the most unobtrusive yet deadly defender you can think of at the moment. (x4 Vigilant Hunters)
-[X] You need a good way to test Winter against your undead soldiers but you must also be careful. The same kind you left at the Wall piloted by a Greater Bloodclot Mold would suffice as a defender. Should the mold ever begin to lose control it will activate a wildfire device embedded in its chest cavity. (x1 Black Champion, x1 Greater Bloodclot Mold)
-[X] You will have two dozen Verdant Wolves forged for patrol and tracking purposes. (x24 Verdant Wolves)
-[X] You will leave two dozen Advanced Plant-Imbued Shadow Cats to wander the Keep, regularly informing Lord Stark and the Inquisition liason about happenings. (x24 Plant-Imbued Shadow Creature Cat)
-[X] A dozen Verdant Ravens and accompanying Kingfishers, to serve as scouts. (x12 Verdant Ravens, x120 Verdant Kingfishers)
-[X] Three Advanced Sorcerer, Cleric and Druid Lotus Leshys each, of similar power as the one Brynden left in Lord Stark's Solar. (x3 Advanced Sorcerer Creature Lotus Leshys (+8 Racial HD), x3 Advanced Cleric Creature Lotus Leshys (+8 Racial HD), x3 Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshys (+8 Racial HD) total)
-[X] You will leave a defense group around the Heart Tree similar to the ones you have left elsewhere. (x1 Heart Tree Defense Group)
-[X] You will post an additional dozen Vigilant Briars around the Keep. (x12 Vigilant Briars)
-[X] A Herald and three Fire Wyrmlings Constructs, buried in a snowdrift or waiting in an outbuilding blocked off from snoopers by a half dozen House Guards or something along those lines, you'll leave the details to Lord Eddard. (x1 Herald, x3 Fire Wyrmling Constructs)
-[X] Half a dozen Greater False Ravens and two dozen Lesser False Ravens, for messaging and spying. (x6 Greater False Ravens and x24 Lesser False Ravens).
[X] Temporary Garrison (until replaced)
-[X] 1x Fallen Shield Archon
-[X] 3x Fallen Hound Archon, 3 levels in martial class
-[X] 2x Fallen Spyglass Archon, 4 levels in Rogue
-[X] 2x Veteran Erinyes
-[X] x12 Advanced Druid Creature Lotus Leshys
-[X] x24 Plant-Imbued Shadow Creature Cat
-[X] x1 Herald and three Fire Wyrmlings Constructs, buried in a snowdrift or waiting in an outbuilding blocked off from snoopers by a half dozen House Guards or something along those lines, you'll leave the details to Lord Eddard.

Good thing Heralds don't get bored. Otherwise, I can easily imagine it losing patience and bursting out of its snowdrift like the Kool-Aid Man, only to interrupt a loud dispute between a guardsman and his mistress.
Herald: "Carry on, obnoxious flesh bags. I'll just go back to my hole now."
I think @BronzeTongue found some soul protection items that weren't super practical to be mass manufactured or effective for companion level combat? I think even if we can't spam them nor use them for the party, we should make one and get special protections specifically for Arya Stark.
No this isn't character favoritism. Remember that for as much as the Old Gods have helped Viserys and vice versa, Viserys' magic and soul aren't intrinsically linked to the Old God's. Arya's is, she's literally a druid directly chosen by the Greendream, who's awakening was significant enough to give the Others a potential champion of their own (sure he fled South as soon as he fucking could but the chance was there!). I have a feeling if they manage to grab Arya the Others will be able to do a disproportionate amount with her soul/blood/everything than they would with any other sub level 5 Caster. So she's a relatively soft target in terms of personal power with substantial downsides if the Others grab her. Yeah I know we're buffing Winterfell in general, but I'd say Arya specifically does warrant additional protection/failsafes on top of that.

Thanks for the reminder. Can you include this in your vote as well, @Crake?
[] With Starks being targeted by the Others, little Arya might be in the greatest danger of all due to her connection to the Old Gods and the Greendream. Dany will give her a Ring of Soul Vault, Ring of Protection from Evil, and a Possession Trap Charm, and attempt to impress upon her the importance of always wearing them, for both her own sake and that of her family.
Eddard: "So you're taking away Jon, and that's it?"
Viserys: "Well, yes, but actually no."
Viserys unloads a list of additional measures he is taking to keep Winterfell and the Starks safe: "... and that's it, for the moment anyway. Won't know too much more until we get a good look at those wards."
Eddard, with a look of what even is his life right now: "...you could probably send an army fleeing with that."
Viserys: "Mmmeeennnyes? Maybe? It'll slow a determined attacker like the Enemy down long enough for me to respond, anyway."
Eddard: "Do you do this for all of your vassals?"
Viserys: "Not really, but you need it more than most of them."
@Crake, might as well add that Lyannas Warforged body gets to be Adamantine. There's no doubt she will take it out on combat outings first chance she gets.

I was thinking about that earlier, but got sidetracked gearing up Jon.
Adamantine Warforged are beefy as hell, and if anyone needs the Wisdom boost, it's definitely Lyanna, but a Mithral body might be better for her. Apparently she was somehow able to joust competitively when pretending to be a knight, and there is no way she had the Strength attribute to pull that off, so she must have had a focused Dexterity-based build. The Mithral body would lend itself to continuing in that same vein.

@Goldfish@Azel Speaking of Lyanna, what about her equipment?
A gear package would be good, but further reinforcing her "rebuild-ening" from a Dex-specced character to a Str-specced one, how about a Warden Construct Armor along with the other stuff?
That would be +6 bonus (template and armor), on top of, presumably, a +6 Str item. Assuming she had average strength, that is... well, it basically allows her to fight in the exact opposite way as she was before.
@Azel Just thought it might be a good time to clarify a thing, as the time approaches? I think we didn't decide on every single Duchy because some of them would be used as rewards as land and keeps were stripped and handed off, but clarification would be nice.
Duchy of Western Dorne: Prince Doran Nymeros-Martell
Duchy of Eastern Dorne: Prince Doran Nymeros-Martell
Duchy of the Arbor: Duke Paxter Redwyne
Duchy of Oldtown: Duke Baelor Hightower
Duchy of the Mandervale: ?
Duchy of Red Lake: ?
Duchy of the Marches: ?
Duchy of the Stormlands: Duke Stannis Baratheon
Duchy of Greyport: Duke Theon Greyjoy
Duchy of the Heartlands: ?
Duchy of the Sothern Crownlands: ?
Duchy of the Northern Crownlands: ?
Duchy of the Midlands: ?
Duchy of Golden Mountains: ?
Duchy of the Iron Isles: Duchess Asha Greyjoy
Duchy of The Forks: Duke Walder Frey
Duchy of Greater Darry: Duke Raymun Darry
Duchy of Runestone: Duke Yohn Royce
Duchy of Verdant Vales: ?
Duchy of The Neck: Duke Howland Reed
Duchy of Whitelands: Duke Wyman Manderly
Duchy of the Dreadlands: Duke Roose Bolton
Duchy of the Winterlands: Duke Eddard Stark
Duchy of Stony Shore: ?
Duchy of Last River: Duke Jon Umber
Duchy of the Crowlands: ?
Duchy of the Bearlands: Duchess Maege Mormont
Thennlands: Duke Styr Magnar
Edit:
Looking at that list, Stony Shore is so sparsely populated that I do not believe there is anyone there who regularly collects taxes, and there's no port at all. So we could build a city there and just give the whole duchy to someone as a reward, if they don't mind the buildup period. It's basically unexploited, the only con being probably the perception that it isn't so good for farming given the soil, which can easily be fixed, and I imagine there's probably at least some forests, not to mention ore deposits.
Verdant Vales was going to go to a Braavosi viceroy I think? To let it develop and grow.
The Crowlands Was probably going to go to whoever ran the Night's Watch by the time the Long Night 2.0 was over, I guess?
Golden Mountains is looking like it might be awarded to Ser Reyne in our service (just as an additional FU I guess).
Midlands not sure.
Northern Crownlands and Southern Crownlands, well in the case of the Northern ones, perhaps the Brunes? And in the case of the Southern, we were looking to award it to someone, but I think we could just use it as a viceroy position, y'know? Bit like how Dragonstone was used as a training ground, except on an actually appreciable scale since anyone in our family we sent there would have swarms of staff from the Administration to help out who follow procedures and do most of the minutia, so mistakes aren't as great a deal.
Duchy of Western Dorne: Prince Doran Nymeros-Martell
Duchy of Eastern Dorne: Prince Doran Nymeros-Martell
Duchy of the Arbor: Duke Paxter Redwyne
Duchy of Oldtown: Duke Baelor Hightower
Duchy of the Mandervale: Duke Mace Tyrell - unless they keep having genius ideas
Duchy of Red Lake: ? - Don't have a candidate for this mind yet. If in doubt, make it an appointed Governorship.
Duchy of the Marches: ?Duches Valaena Velarion? - It's one of the places I'd consider Valaena for, as this is one of the designated powderkegs where people hate each other and whom we cram together to have the surrounding areas peaceful. Thus, an outsider with a powerful symbol such as a combat strength Dragon would help to pacify the place until people stop being stupid. Alternatively, I'd drop an Essosi Governor here, preferably someone suggested either by the Sealord or Zherys.
Duchy of the Stormlands: Duke Stannis Baratheon
Duchy of Greyport: Duke Theon Greyjoy
Duchy of the Heartlands: ? - No one in sight for this. Make it a Governorship and appoint a bureaucrat.
Duchy of the Sothern Crownlands: ?Duke Maelor Streetrat? - This includes Kings Landing and I'm still happy with the idea of giving it to him. I'd like to point out here that we don't have "Viceroaylty" as a concept so far and I'm against holding any areas for Viserys kids. Depending on if that piece of land will be in Westeros or Essos, people will bitch about favouring one area over ther other. Just have the kid apprentice under changing Dukes and Governors to get the same effect.
Duchy of the Northern Crownlands: either Duke Lothar Brune or Duke Renfred Rikker - The first one got more screentime, but the latter one is the significantly more powerful lord and also a staunch loyalist. Just never got any screentime for it.
Duchy of the Midlands: Definitely a Governorship.
Duchy of Golden Mountains: Maybe Lanna. Maybe Tyrion. Maybe a sufficiently loyal defector. Maybe a Governorship. Time will tell.
Duchy of the Iron Isles: Duchess Asha Greyjoy
Duchy of The Forks: Duke Walder Frey
Duchy of Greater Darry: Duke Raymun Darry
Duchy of Runestone: Duke Yohn Royce
Duchy of Verdant Vales: Governorship under an Essosi, with Dalla likely going to be a pretty influential Voice in the Duchy-level Assembly.
Duchy of The Neck: Duke Howland Reed
Duchy of Whitelands: Duke Wyman Manderly
Duchy of the Dreadlands: Duke Roose Bolton
Duchy of the Winterlands: Duke Eddard Stark
Duchy of Stony Shore: I agree with your assessment and would keep it a Governorship. Then we don't run into the problems of this being piss poor land and we can exploit it on our own to get the North to industrialize to some degree.
Duchy of Last River: Duke Jon Umber
Duchy of the Crowlands: If Joer Mormont survives the War for Dawn, I'd offer it Joer Mormont as the last Lord Commander, but if he doesn't want to or dies, I'd offer it Allyser Thorne, since he is a good little loyalist.
Duchy of the Bearlands: Duchess Maege Mormont
Thennlands: Duke Styr Magnar

Have we considered making Monterys Velaryon Duke of the Southern Crownlands?
Monterys has very loyal since the beginning with him passing up a royal marriage in favor of backing us, being targeted for assassination by our foes, and keeping the crownlands from exploding before we want them to, all of which shows his loyalty and ability to manage the mess that is the crownlands. Both valuable traits in a Duke.
I would also like to second the idea of making Lord Brune Duke of the Northern Crowlands as he is not only the first person in Westeros to bend the knee to us but also he did so back when we were far less able to protect him from the consequences of doing so which should be rewarded richly. Also as a native of the point he will get around the prickliness of its inhabitants.
So in light of any obvious choice for either position, I think Monterys and Lord Brune seem like very good candidates for Duke of the Northern and Southern Crownlands respectively.

I'm definitely against handing out state of the art power-armor to someone of dubious loyalty. I'm fine with equipment, even some more expensive stuff, but there I draw the line.
Maybe when she has proven her loyalty, but definitely not now.

Onto less relevant land grants, we still need to pick out a parcel for Bronn Bigcastle.
Also, Alinor and Ser Gerold. For those two, I was thinking either the Riverlands (just combine all the land between Atranta and Wayfarer's Rest under the same county and it fulfills the letter of our promise to individually reward both) and/or creating a city at the Mouth of the Mander.
Alternatively, if the Tyrells have a genius idea, make Highgarden into a crater and build a fortress city there ala Talabheim named "Dragon's Wrath".
I honestly don't blame people for mixing up sons and fathers, GRRM was starting to get a bit 'samey' with the names while mixing in pseudohistorical accounts with his stories.
