@DragonParadox for our spending in ch laws of the land, it says we spent 30,000 IM for the project and prize money, though it says that we spent 1,000 IM and 20,000 IM for prize money and grant funding. Am I missing the other 9,000 IM or just a typo.

The vote says total cost 30.000 IM, so the rest is things like security that isn't part of the grant proper.
Since I'm the one who came up with this number:
- 1,000 IM cash prize for being a good boy and getting us mass producible anti-mage poison
- 20,000 IM research grant
- 5,000 IM for Mage's Private Sanctum for the new lab
- 1,500 IM for Forbiddance for the new lab
- 1,500 IM for minor magical items such as a Gentle Repose item to keep samples fresh, or a Purification ring to safely dispose of waste
- 500 IM for the physical lab and equipment, such as various masterwork tools
- 500 IM for lab assistants, guards and materials

The rough numbers I always use are:
- 1,000 IM for a basic workspace (this is equal to what a master artisan would have had before the return of magic)
- 2,000 IM for a good workspace
- 5,000 IM for a state of the art workspace
- 10,000 IM for a high-security workspace

Those are rule of thumb values I arrived at after designing various workplaces over the years.

On a completely different note.

Airforce infopost updated.
@Goldfish, once you have fled form Skynet, please deduct 2 Interplanar Whispering Braziers from the stockpile. We got enough aircrafts that I had to create two new fighter wings.

Was just barely able to edit the Armory page. For a computer destined to become a sentient killing machine bent on world domination and the extermination of the Human race, Skynet doesn't handle large thread pages very well.

With those two interplanar braziers allocated, that reduces our stock to just 1, along with 13 regular braziers. I'll have to add some more to the coming month's crafting schedule.

Part MMMDCLII: A Surfeit of Zeal
A Surfeit of Zeal

Thirty First Day of the Third Month 294 AC

Unlike in Volantene lands, reports from more northerly parts of the Empire show neither great failures nor extraordinary successes. It will be a few months yet before the administration in Braavos improves and while the Imperial Post can be said to be settled in some of the smaller less populated provinces the same cannot be said for the Braavosi coast or the Sweetwater. It is only as you move on from administrative files to those of the Inquisition that you reach an actual surprise, an unpleasant one, though admittedly it could be much worse.

Several Voices in Lorath had been suborned by a cult of Abraxas and are currently awaiting execution. In and of itself that does not cause much of a problem, in fact the Inquisition even managed pay for its operations from confiscations and top off the budget a touch. The trouble is that the trio of Voices interned had been quite influential and charismatic, partly due to the pacts they had forged but mostly through personal skill. They had helped forge a majority faction in the Provincial Assembly which is now being attacked on charges of 'consorting with demons' by their opponents, in spite of official investigations only implicating three of its members.

Unfortunately the objections do not constrain themselves to fiery rhetoric and vigorous campaigning for the open seats. There have been several nights of public disturbances, including one attempted lynching of a family member of one of the men and even an attempt to force open the gates to the home of another. In the chillingly concise opinion of the local Inquisitorial Commissar, 'were not for the swift intervention of the Lawmen backed by Inquisition soldiers it would have ended with thirteen coffins, sizes one through nine'.

Locally no one wants to give the impression that one should not take demonic subversion seriously, but they feel that some sort of sign from the center against this sort of disorder is warranted, all the more so as the local leadership of the Red Faith is involved in stirring up the pot. None of the priests' proclamations have gone quite so far as to incite violence, but it's close enough as to make the Princes uncomfortable. The last thing any of the authorities wish to risk is a bloody confrontation with the Red Faith, particularly over the protection of those seen as 'tainted by association with a cult'.

The Commissar for Lorath writes that he had to refuse three unfounded requests from other local Voices, rivals of the three men, to take people who had been cleared of suspicion into custody. You get the distinct sense that if he were not a firm believer in a strict application of the law, such as might even draw a grudging nod of approval from Stannis, the Commissar would be opening cases against the loudest of the complainers.

[X] Consult with Benerro first to see if there's a different tact you might want to take with this, since once you get into the habit of intervening in religious matters, people will all be eyeballing you to start making doctrinal changes or pinning your name upon their own.
--[X] Utilize the Imperial Times and make a series of speeches addressing recent turbulence in the Imperium these last few months, specifically relating to that of demons. Touch on the previously seen methods of subversion seen in Tyrosh as well as what anarchy looks like, as in Mantarys before Angels ruled there. This is what fiends want. Either Baator so they can sweep in and institute overbearing tyranny and sap the will to resist out of any who oppose them, or the Abyss who will like as not burn out before long, but not before consuming anyone swayed by their poisonous blandishments.
---[X] Trust in public institutions thus far is the only hope of presenting a truly united front against these threats, not pogroms in the streets and not fanaticism. If they trust the Crown in these matters, they can trust its duly appointed agents to thoroughly investigate and apply the law in the manner it was meant to be applied.
----[X] And for those who have supped from the cup of the Imperium's enemies, whether they be born high or low, they will be found, and they will be punished.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

@Crake

Best to add having the Inquisition look into the leaders of the riots. They might just be genuine idiots and a lot of the politicians are most likely just opportunistic dicks, but I'd rather be sure of that. Also gives us some leverage to shut them up if some unrelated skeletons are found.
