1) the rest of RAs and Adventures to get reports on
2) see how our Minions "fight" Court of Stars (without knowing it being pointless, ofc)
3) Slavers' Bay, Operation Woodlouse (infiltrating lannisters) as the two semi-central events.
4) Seeing Viserys and Lya do the supercharged-summoning on-screen (and maybe a few chapters of dealing with any unwanted incursions)
5) Reports on infrastructure, economy, scholarum, etc.
6) Ymeri-slapping contest with R'hlor and friends [interlude].
7) Us doing the sacrifice-ritual and then going out to kill the CoS.
8) CoS ded, Robert-dying interlude.
9) Next turnvote.
Small investigation in Div's Delight.

@DragonParadox, we used the remains of the Reaper to make that compass to keep track of it, then assigned an Erinyes to regularly triangulate and keep track of its positions in Sarnor. Are there any spots in particular that it seems to favor as a home base of sorts where we could try to ambush it?

Voting never helped anyone.

Voting always helps!

Well... The problem happens when alot of the sensible people go there is no point in voting everything sucks... While all the morons that need a map to find their ass goes out to vote.
When everyone votes you drown out the stupid just mathematically.

In theory, maybe.

/Looks at the states.

Uh, I got nuthin'

That's among "the rest of RAs and Advemturws" as far as I am concerned..?

Is that place really that big of a deal for us to see it as a series of interludes, like SB or Lannisters?

Genuine question, I won't terribly mind personally if people want anything sans Ymeri on the list expanded a bit.

I'm kinda interested and I don't mind the pace.

Voter turnout in the US is extremely bad, last but not least because a certain party is putting a lot of effort into ensuring that the wrong kind of people don't get to vote.

Yeah I get ya, you know its bad when dear old Canada, the land that welcomes all... Eyes the border, and goes lol nope. No americans gonna come up here, no siree.

Well, that's true for refugees, not Immigrants. Immigration standards are high in Canada.

Edit: Also we have been listening to the experts here and until they give the go-head ain't no one coming in

More making the point even American's coming simply over the border for tourism or business are not welcome in most places atm. Those that are even allowed over to begin with.

Edit: Be wary coming over the border with american plates, slashed tires and other such things have happened. Which is very Un-Canadian I have to say.

Interlude CMXXIV: Answers in Distant Eyes
Answers in Distant Eyes

Eleventh Day of the Third Month 294 AC

Daenerys closed the song book with a snap. She had not been expecting the call so soon, but then one generally did not expect a call to arms against a near-godlike fiend. "I'm sorry mother, I have to go..."

"What...?" She sighed, worry replacing the fine laugh lines and sparkling eyes of a moment ago. "I'm sorry I cannot come with you sweetheart." They had been comparing musical tastes, to mutual ever more overblown critique.

At least she had not said 'I wish you didn't have to go anymore', that always made Dany feel strange, like she aught to be angry and at the same time guilty for the feeling. Parents were supposed to protect their children, that is just how it usually went and it wasn't her mother's fault that theirs was the exception to the rule. She swallowed anger and guilt both.

"I'm glad you are not going into these kinds of fights mother, it makes me a hypocrite I guess but I can bear the burden of that fault easily enough." She paused a moment. It was tempting fate, but then fate could hardly be anymore tempted about House Targaryen. "We'll be back before the hour is out."

***

None of them needed to take anything from the armory, they only laid down arms and armor when they slept these days and rarely did more than two Companions take their two hours of sleep at the same time. "Alright, who is in for this?"

"The three of us," Viserys nodded towards Ser Richard. "Zherys and Malarys are on their way."

"Or already here as the case may be," the mage-priest was heralded by the soft hiss of displaced air of translocation and the click of his sword-cane on the floor. "For the record I do appreciate the months when visiting godsforsaken ruins to make an end of the horrors lurking therein is only an unpleasant interlude, not most of the service I am called to do."

"Noted, Lord Justice," Viserys replied with the kind of formal flourish that made it a jest.

"In advance of next month's plans let the record also show that I consider most of the Sunset Kingdoms a ruin of one sort or another," the elder dragonlord carried on briefly in the same spirit just as the Archon of Volantis made his way into the room through the door for some reason.

To his credit Zherys did try to disguise his laugh as a cough. He did not put much effort into it.

Soon enough all jests were laid aside as Leto stepped forth to make her report and aid them in pinning down the Void-touched Daemon that had escaped them in Mardosh. Bones that had never been alive burned to cloying black smoke, crackling like the sound of dying gasps, marrow warped and twisted to enchantment's purpose. It was admittedly not a pretty wayfinder.

The hours ticked by as they worked at establishing where the daemon might be from the reports of the dead and the pull of the wayfinder.

Alas the daemon did not stay in 'godsforsaken ruins'. "It's in New Ibbish," Viserys confirmed with a sigh, looking into the scrying glass. Having sent greater raven scouts to northern Essos and guided them by triangulation they could now be certain their quarry was on the grounds of a fortified manor within the inner walls of the city. It was also possessing a local potentate and in the middle of a feast. Simply showing up to kill it might be more trouble than it was worth, at least according to Zherys.

The Ibbenese were a prickly and suspicious people. Being openly associated with the sort of mess that battling a greater daemon within the confines of their town would likely set diplomatic efforts back months or even years, not to mention what a creature of ruin and desolation might do to the city if cornered.

"The Sarnori captain was supposed to give a report at some point, wasn't it?" Ser Richard asked, glancing down at the withered head. "Can't do that in public. Just draw it somewhere private and deal with it..."

Further interrogation of the skull revealed that its master usually communed at midnight, though that would require leaving it loose in New Ibbish for three more hours.

What do you do?

[] Teleport and attack at once
-[] Write in buffs

[] Wait for midnight when the daemon is unlikely to be around other people
-[] Write in buffs

OOC: I tried to roll through as much of this as I could, but the above is a political decision so I really can't do it.

Mostly.
We upgraded him into a pretty murderous machine eventually, but lacking any sort of character he just doesn't get much screentime.
Just another murderbot in our vast army, acting mostly as bodyguard for Raella or other VIPs.

Please everyone do not teleport in and kill the thing in the middle of a feast, that's bad enough of a first impression that even Viserys might not be able to talk it down.

Here's an edited version of the chapter, DP.

Okay, I don't care which way we decide to move, attacking immediately or waiting until midnight. Instead, I'm just going to write up the part with specific buffs to use for this encounter, which can then be attached to either option.

Gimme a minute.
