Thanks! Tbh I feel that this is what I most remember of the Tyrells in GOT or any other story or quest, hell even in this one that has been the common memory I have of the whole damn family. The fact that their solution to everything seems to be, well Margaery is pretty so let's sell her to someone powerful.

@Goldfish, tell ya what, I think the next vote should be about having Viaerys to start setting up the Snares - but I guess we can just file the details out later if it isn't ready in a hote-format.
Like, sorry for me pushing you on this the last few days.
I did warn I'll get anal about keeping things orderly.
The fact we have a plan for the creature to grant Orphne in return for Viserys' shadow, alone is already big dick move.

Let's just have "the process" started IC, and see the rest of the CoS-related shenanigans on screen for a while, @everyone?

It isn't like those one-off Snares would be of any importance for at least a little while, anyway, and "how many did Viserys succeed in setting up" is something dp can reasonably roll only when we actually reach the 11th of the month IC.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Imma finagle with RAs tonight and see which we can reasonably push through in the 4th month's time, so we could benefit during the Reconquest.
Here you go, dude.

[] In preparation for accelerated Summoning, Viserys will create a series of ten temporary Demiplanes, one per day leading up to his and Lya's efforts. Each will be intended for one day of use before being Dispelled in order to prevent planar instability. With guidance from Lya and his own deep understanding of planar mechanics, Viserys will determine the best Plane other than the Material Plane to serve as a link for the Demiplanes, the plane from which the initial spell will be cast.
-[] The Demiplanes will be created using Create Greater Demiplane.
--[] Each Demiplane will be warded using a Forbiddance spell which encompasses the entire space, except for one small area that will be used for entry and exit, and the Summoning Circle itself. The entry/exit point will be blocked by a large stone block which we can move in and out of place as needed. The walls of each Demiplane will be coated in a thin sheet of transmuted lead for additional anti-Divination purposes, and the Mage's Private Sanctum and Lost Passage spells will be placed on the day of the Summoning.
--[] The Summoning Circle will feature an inverted Magic Circle Against Evil along with a Hallow spell linked to a Dimensional Anchor effect to allow Summoning but to prevent the circle from being used as an entry or exit point from the Demiplane using dimensional travel magic or abilities.
---[] The Summoning Circle will feature a Hardened Steel vat which will be used to contain an Advanced Stone Pudding identical to the one being used in the Snare this month.
--[] Another Hallow spell linked to a Resist Energy (Acid) spell will protect everyone, our Summoned and Petrified Brimoraks included, from incidental Acid damage from the Stone Pudding.
--[] A Shrink Item Chamber identical to the advanced model being used in the Snare will be shrink all of the Petrified Brimoraks for easy storage and transport.
-[] As detailed here, once Summoning begins, Lya and Viserys should be able to Summon 394 Brimoraks per day per Demiplane, totaling 2,364 HD.
-[] Companions and additional guards who will help oversee the Summoning will be determined later in the month when the process actually begins.

@mfw
[X] Actions taking part immediately starting the 1st of 3rd month (retroactive perspective shift, starting us at the 1st of the month):
-[X] Lya (2nd body, use Free Action): learn the Planar Binging spell when not watching Zathir work on Anu-Simung's hammer.
--[X] Also have Planar Binding and Greater Planar Binding Pages of Spell Knowledge crafted for Viserys.
-[X] Viserys: Set off to the Astral Plane to create several temporary Greater Demiplanes to have the mass-summoning take place (up to 11th of the month, as per crafting-time required by Lya's 2nd body):
--[X] Write-up pending. Assume extra-warded, deathtrap-like, made-to-be-discarded if anything dangerous arises from mass-summoning, Demiplane-bound-to-Astral-Plane-so-we-don't-shit-all-over-PoB-with-Demon-energies installations.
[X] Viserys-centric actions in-between the preparations for the mass-summoning sites:
-[X] Spend some time as a Buttercup, doing Buttercup things, throughout Westeros (crake, azel, your needed for details)
-[X] Make a mount for Orphne court's King. Get Viserys' Shadow back.
Shitpsoting aside, much thanks, @Goldfish. We can actually move on with the month in IC-perspective now! :V

God damn. Now I want to see just how many days we spend on summoning.

Also, shit! @egoo, we forgot to decide how many sacrifices are tossed to R'hllor this month for the war against Ymeri. Hopefully that comes up in a vote.

ach will be intended for one day of use before being Dispelled in order to prevent planar instability.
How many more Demiplanes can we reasonably make per day? Do we want to limit oursleves to "1 day of use per Demiplane"?
Making 10 only leaves us busy until the 21st of the month, meaning we need at least 8-9 more to keep on going until the scheduled "Fuck the CoS"-OP.

Also, did we drop the notion of not making the Demiplanes connected to PoB, jsut in case?
We probably should specify that we're making them off-plane, if we didn't.

Not really? :V
[X] Post-Qohor, post- month's summoning, sacrifice captured enemies to R'hlor, in order to power anti-Ymeri action.
I may or may not have deleted this line during one of the "we did an action, gotta grey it out now"-edits, but we did vote on the turnvote with this in. It's back there just in case now, I just felt it sticked out even as a reminder. And it had "Qohor" in it, too :V

We can make more, of course, but I don't want Viserys' spells overly depleted on any given day, and I think that the days of dedicated Summoning, in addition to what's coming out of the Snare, will be plenty.

EDIT: Write-up updated to include the decision on what Plane will serve as a basic link for the Demiplane. Basically, letting Viserys and Lya decide based on their own knowledge.

Jokes aside, it's less that we won't have enough sacrifices (but we totally won't! No kill like overkill!), and that Viserys and Co (and there's plenty of people assigned to be out there with him while he and Lya summon), would find themselves with ~9 days of... nothing productive, really.

I mean, shit, we sure can clean out a delve or two at that point, but I was under the impression we were striving to cut down on non-CoS narratives this month..?

I see that this grudge has lasted throughout the years. I am impressed.

Personally I still have a grudge against that damn cat Agathion even though that's long gone and dealt with... I still hate that damn cat. I always will. If a vote came up on meeting some more of them i'd vote for unrepentant murderblender by dropping every WMD on them until cat is a word no one dares speak.

Yes, I hate it that much.

We are at a point where we benefit more from the month passing faster than we do by prolonging it.

It's always evident that the more diffuse the focus of the month, the more time we spend pointlessly navel-gazing over shit we hold no impact over.

  • [X] No, this is perfect. Edmure is someone who you can manipulate with relative ease compared to the Old Trout, place almost any false trail in front of him and he will seek it out. Maybe you should send Danar and Alyssa, old friends, to lead him along that path? Consequentially, if they hope for Edmure to be alive by the end of things, it's better if they keep an eye on him from behind.

Part MMMDCLXI: Pieces in Motion
Pieces in Motion

Third Day of the Third Month

Telling Clansmen to find a secluded valley is much like telling a woodsman to find a good game trail or a fisherman a good fishing spot. The answer comes in a form that if written down could make a book, each nook and cranny with its own chapter. Unsurprisingly they are also quite taken with the darkenbeasts, being in their own way creatures of the Old Gods and beasts to be feared, the surprise is that the darkenbeasts have taken to a few of them. If nothing else any of them who take wing for the Legion won't be causing trouble on the ground, but you suspect the drill instructors will be working and probably drinking overtime dealing with warriors of the high peaks and ridges.

The Dornish were no less swift to find the roost you asked for, a narrow gorge near High Hermitage that opens into a green spring watered vale that could fit a small town. The place could probably feed the darkenbeast company on game alone, though the local lords are quick to offer sheep and cattle instead. An attack into the Marches brings memories of old scores to settle aplenty.

By contrast Harrenhal is not found in the best of states by your engineers in preparation for its reovation. Even without the specters and old evils the marks of the keep's past there are still clear upon it. It's not just the Kingspyre Tower and the Tower of Ghosts that threaten to collapse under the weight of neglect, but the Widow's Tower also.

The magesmiths sent along suspect that its curse might actually have been helping to preserve the ancient stones against the ravages of time, as a tombstone of sorts to Harren the Black. In its current state it might collapse in a matter of years. Fortunately you have magic of your own to shore it up with.

Harrenhal in worse condition than anticipated: Refitting slowed

Later that day you are surprised to hear the familiar whisper of silk and the firm knock upon the door. "Lady Melisandre," you nod. You had assumed she was preparing for the battle against Ymeri.

"I came to wish you luck, Your Grace... and apologize for not noticing the faults your engineers noted in Harrenhal," she notes, sincerely you would judge.

"There is nothing to apologize for, my lady," you shake your head. "Its late master was distraction enough for anyone, and even were that not the case I would have no reason to assume you would be an architect or siege engineer to judge the quality of walls and towers."

"Then fare thee well. May His Light be upon you in your battles. I shall return before your coronation at month's end," the priestess proclaims with utter certainty before vanishing into shadows, though this time a swarm of dancing sparks linger in her wake.

That leaves one other thing to do. You reach out with a thread of thought to Bloodraven and ask of him a service as you have done twice before. "See Robert Baratheon dead by the hand of his Lannister Queen."

"And her bastards? it is likely to be utter chaos once he is dead, given the sate of the city the eldest at least will be crowned or dead within the day, or even more likely both, one after the other,"
The Last Greenseer points out.

What is to be the fate of Queen Cersei's bastards?

[] Varys should try to keep them alive but in play, give Cersei the chance to damage her position as much as possible

[] Remove all three of them from King's Landing after Robert's death, they will be safer in your care from any fools who might try to curry favor with the heads of children

[] Write in

OOC: The Harrenhal thing was actually rolled at the time, one of the few notes from the action, but since Mel failed the check you guys would not know until someone took more of a look at it. Wasn't expecting it to be in the middle of the invasion.

Also, I wonder how hard Varys will need to work to allow Cersei kill her husband. Does a nat 100 be something like, "she pulls it off entirely on her own against all logic and reason?"

Dead kids are a thing with a capital 'T' for Viserys. So let's do everything in our power to keep them alive. For our own mental health if anything.

I am always disgusted with people who attribute a love for slicing up kids as something Viserys will reward them for.

Do we reward bandits if they trouble out enemies? Yes, if its targeted at a limited number of people.

I would have thought we would advertise how we strung up the palace guards in Tyrosh for massacring people at random, or specifically for trying to present the Archon's family to us in bloody ribbons or chains.

Chains, of all things! I bet like 20% of Westeros thinks we're a slaver or something even a year after ending Slavery in most of Western Essos (and crippling slave trade in the other half).

Well, not for much longer. Our PR machine is a lot bigger than it used to be.

As much as Joffrey dying wouldn't bring me to tears he really hasn't yet become the little monster we all love to hate.

And even if he was. It would be extremely OOC for Viserys to let kids die just because. So only really one option here.

This Joffrey didn't get neglected another seven years into being an intolerable little shit. In fact, he's had opportunity for character growth, and lessons that didn't make you want to kill yourself or fall asleep for at least a year.
