I see where you are coming from here, but it is much much easier to push that agenda later as opposed from the start. In fact the vote as written would have guaranteed that he would not agree to help you in spite of the high diplomacy roll (35 after bonuses). Effectively I was looking at a successful act of diplomacy by a charismatic character with unworkable lines to deliver. I decided to have the high roll downplay the part of the plan that would have sank it.
Okay, see, that's good information to know, because now I want to give Theon to Relath instead of paying six thousand gold to make him an item. Good thing we cleared that up.

Well, it's too late to change now. We already made the deal with Relath and we can't back out of it without some problems. He wants the ring of tongues far, far more than he ever wanted Theon.

Best bet is we talk to Theon and slowly convince him to do whatever we want him to do, including renouncing the Drowned God. I say we ask him why he worships the Drowned God, then very pointedly ask him how that's been going for him. He's seen first hand what a high priest of the Drowned God is capable of and willing to do. He knows the Drowned God doesn't give a damn about him.

He's probably in a state of denial as a coping mechanism. We have a high enough charisma to talk him out of it, and his crush on Lya should definitely help us out here.

Or we can go VoD on Theon and send him with a dragon far away from us. If he wants to worship Drowny, he can do it with Relath.

We are so talking with Bloodraven about the Drowned God after the ritual. Too much interplanar bullshit involved for my tastes.

[X] From now on murder, rape and the keeping of slaves (Including unwilling Saltwives) are punishable by death. Lesser crimes as theft or assault with appropriate sentences as fines or work. Any current slaves, thralls or saltwives are immediatly set free.
-[X] Any man who knew the extend of Damphair's madness, who supported his working against humanity itself with his Farspawn-allies will die before the Old Gods' Tree, that his soul will never influence this world again.
-[X] Captains or other leaders who, under Damphair's rule, allowed their men to commit the crimes named above will die for their responsibility.
-[X] These rules will be, for now, enforced by the crews of our ships. We will build a militia from willing, trustworthy and able-bodied men and women in the coming days.
-[X] The trials will be held in public and the population will be present and able to accuse those who they deem to have broken these laws or profiteded from the rule of Damphair.
-[X] The worship of the Drowned God is henceforth forbidden, as to ensure that the events here never repeat themselves. All former worshippers of the Drowned God need to publically renounce him.

I could see that ending with Theon eaten by dragon. If Drowny supported Aerons work with aberrations he is Relath enemy too.

Guys, Theon is still useful to us. If we can convince him to renounce the Drowned God he could be one of our best assets in conquering the Iron Islands.

If he didn't renounce the Drowned God after seeing what Aeron was up to and that he still got magic from him despite that I don't see arguments helping much.

I at least want to give it a shot. If there's a chance he was just clinging to denial or that he didn't see any other option, I'd like to know.

And we can add that if he doesn't renounce the Drowned God, that's too bad because worship is banned in our realm, but Relath would be more than happy to take him.

Let's put the Theon issue aside for now. Some VoD and quality time with Brynden should let him see the light Old Gods and turn him into a true believer Druid.

Edit: Don't forget that he has real, tangible proof that Drowny exists and can influence him. Seeing his high priest torn apart in the name of other gods and getting proof of their power should dull that awe considerably.

It's been mentioned before (and indirectly confirmed by DP), but Theon has wisdom as a dumpstat. Druid might not be the best class for him.

Lets just slap whatever religion that is not evil onto him and call it a day.

Which means no Burny One, no Grandma, no Drowny, and nothing related to the lower planes.

When I was assuming that he would want to get back at the Drowned God I would have suggested the Storm God.
Basically the opposite in the Ironborn religion.
Makes me wish we had one of Robert's bastards. Gendry was even one of the options on the front page. Favored soul, literally descended from the Storm God.

I'm still holding out hope that we'll be able to collect him, Arya, and Myrcella eventually.

And Stormlord is still one of the most badass classes among the hundreds 3.5 has to offer.

Random question: when is Lya's birthday?
... When is anyone's birthday? We know Dany's because we always made it a point to celebrate, but beyond that I have nothing.

Also, point for future negotiations. In the event that we manage to turn Theon away from the Drowned God and get him to do our bidding, we should negotiate with Relath for his shiny but useless Driftwood Crown. I'm sure he'd be happy to strike a blow against the Deep Ones.

We don't know. Temple-orphan. Maybe she has a finding-day?

We are getting the Crown for the Ring of Tongues.

Maybe. I just wondered because at 19 she will get +1 to an ability score, and I really hope that it is intelligence, so that she becomes our master of save-or-sucks, for the increased DC of her spells.

Also because she will be one of the smartest persons on Planetos, once you consider the headband.

Does the ritual of Blood have Any other noticeable effect other than the tree growing? It would be great if people can feel the old gods influence and convert on the spot.
Also we need to get snakey up and .. crawling? We need our god of the sea for the ironborn.
And since we are at It.. maybe remind people that worship of the Evil godess at the shrine we'll build in the cave under yhr fortress is discouraged? She Who promises untold power to those under her wings. Services are tuesdays and saturdays at dusk.
