Maybe those priests are on a similar state as those chained souls that Rakshasa in Valyria put them?

They are ablative HP
That is my thought, too. Given that Anu-Simung was injured last round, if only slightly, it might not be quite so straight forward as with the Raksasha, though. It could be something like a Shield Other spell, which splits damage between two beings.

It's why Viserys forced them to become corporeal last round and why he, Amrelath, and Richard are all racing to see who can destroy the spirits first.

Inb4 the Undead priests are just his equivalent of "weighed clothes" and killing them before him opens a bonus phase where the God becomes even more dangerous.

As something unrelated to Ded!Anu, I've been thinkign lately (wow!):

We're going to use the roads we're building as foci for Imperial Deity, rite?
Every road, every channel, every act of following imperial law (bureaucracy and military service included) as acts of worship...
Are we gonna, maybe, offer our road-building capabilities to Yi-Ti's Emperor(s)?

We aren't gonna point out that the roads are going to be of ritual use for us, of course.
Just saying "it helps trade" probably would be reasonable enough for him/them.

We can raise a massive amount of high-quality roads throughout their provinces under the excuse of "that also helps us make more profit off trading with you, for virtually no cost insofar as making the roads goes except time".

Eventually, yes, but for now we have plenty of work getting the Imperium fully covered in our awesome paved roads, especially with the conquest of Westeros around the corner. Paving anything in Yi Ti is a ways off.
Some kind of rare celestial metal, Viserys can't tell more while it is still on the enemy trying to kill him.
Dibs. All the dibs.

@DragonParadox, since this thing is essentially all that is left of Anu and not 'just' an Avatar (insofar as I had comprehended the text so far, anyway, m/b wrong here), will we get actual access to his knowledge by scanning the body and asking it questions via magic as usual?

Or is his (former) divinity too OP for us to get at what a God had known in life/unlife that easily?

... This would genuinely be amazing. Getting divine knowledge from the corpse of a God of Smiths would be valuable beyond belief for both Lya and Anu.

You will get access to whatever tattered remnants of his knowledge endured though the ages and his second death. Nothing like the full lore of the Sky-Forger whole and living, but worth looking into certainly.

If we can't scan his brain for knowledge, we might be able to work our way around it via sacrifice. Exchanging the tools he used in life for the knowledge he applied while wielding them sounds like an appropriately story book exchange with Yss. It's worth asking about at least.
edit: I should refresh the page before posting more often.
Edit 2: repeated words

It's a shame he went insane and forced us to fight him to the death. He would have been a perfect god for the Warforged of the Imperium if only he hadn't attacked us.

Oh well. We'll make excellent use of his corpse and the remains of his knowledge.

The ideal situation I'm seeing for us so far, is that we'll manage to get hold of whatever Divine energy of his that persists after he dies again (be it artifacts, or the remains of the body), and we sacrifice it to the Storm God.
Payment?
All the recoverable knowledge of Anu in easy-to-read format.

Win-win, since it would both give a considerable boost to the Storm God's recovery and get us the knowledge without another RA to spend on going through a mind-bending and dangerous thing a God's corpse is.

What? No way. The Storm God can get Deep Ones sacrifices.

We're keeping the Skymetal Hammer to use for ourselves in construct building, and whatever rare metals this dead god is made of we use to make ultra special constructs. The Horcalcum alloy for Queen Namaaru comes to mind as an immediate project.

I know it's a horrible idea, but I can't help but wonder what we could get out of sacrificing this guy while he's "alive". Something like using Cast in Stone to force him to make a fort save every round for two minutes or turn into a statue for us to cart off for Yss. He'd almost certainly break free as soon as we got within city limits, but damn if the rewards wouldn't be fantastic.

[X] Goldfish

This thing actually feels dangerous, like it could single handily destroy our entire party by itself. Thats a good thing for a cr23 creature.

That wouldn't work on constructs.

Most of our capture spells wont.

Counter:
A stronger Storm God is something that can directly support us fighting against the Illithids/Fey/Others, instead of just hanging back waiting for sacrifices.
I see any chance at powering him up as a great long-term investment.

I get the greed to loot the rare stuff, trust me, I truly do.
But let's be real: we haven't even decided what to do with Timmie's corpse, let alone touched it.
If we can empower Storm God with this, we probably should, for the simple fact that the longer he's active, the more "Good Stuff"TM will go our way.

I'd be all over sacrificing it as a "live" thing, but it feels like we'll lose half the forces here if we try :(

I agree on keeping the hammer, but the rest is going to up be in the air until we see what it actually is. The storm god will get way more out of the sacrifice of this stuff than he would the equivalent amount of deep one sacrifices.
