[X] Accept their surrender, and remand them in to Quuen Naamaru's custody for now. You will deal with them after accounting for the dead and facilitating the transportation of reinforcements to crush the larger host to the south.
-[X] Finish up the battle. You will use Mage's Decree once via Bloodwish to offer surrender to all the enemies remaining still resisting, but no more than that. You will also make it clear that this is not a simple stay of execution, but a genuine offer to see reason. There is nothing left to fight for here, nothing but for spite when there is still yet hope.

@DragonParadox

So the big questions for the next update: How big was the host we faced here?

What kind of casualties did they sustain, and how many HD in corpses did we gain from the undead killed?

How many of our people died?

A final tally from all the previous updates since the battle with this army started, all the way back to our first raid, would be appreciated, so we have it all in one place and I can easily account for it in the documents.

That seems likely to Viserys IC.
Excellent. That hammer will be a nice prize.

That will probably b the update after next. there is still some fighting left to do. Not all the dead are surrendering.

We actually have a special repair facility for our flying vessels and Constructs. It uses the Memory of Function spell to repair destroyed Constructs, but in this case I don't think the Heralds are recoverable. There didn't seem to be much left of those three Heralds, and the spell needs the remains of the Construct to be relatively intact to function.
Wouldn't a miracle be able to reconstitute the body of a herald, just like it could rebuild a corpse?

@DragonParadox, neat chapter. I especially liked how you kept track of the power we forced the dead god to expend throughout the fight to determine what kind of response we would get up in destroying the altar. That makes me glad we kept forcing it to intervene. I'm glad we didn't know about that beforehand, as it makes it seem more rewarding to learn about it now.

I think Constructs are more objects after being destroyed, and what you are REALLY calling back when you use a Resurrection to restore a pile of ashes is the soul, which has a template of the original body.

@DragonParadox would have a definite answer though.

He is a smith-god after all, a little bit of swanky gear can be expected.
Mercy: "Where are you going, Argo?"

Argo: "To make a sacrifice to the Old Gods. Need to respec from axe-wielding to hammer mastery."

Mercy: "What?"

Argo: "Glyra told me about it. She said-"

Mercy: "Ah, I see, that makes perfect sense. Well, good luck with your...respecing."

Might pair very well with that Anvil the Marid dude in Vialesk is holding on to, eh?
Yep. Take the Anvil, this hammer, possibly the Forge that made the Hadhayosh lost somewhere in the Plane of Fire, and the lore we've got from that Seer Devil at the auction in Heaven and we've got a solid foundation.

Oh, he's not just a storm god? That hammer is probably going to be a major boon to construct crafting if we manage to recover it. It'd go well with our plans to fix Axis one day.
Well, he was.
Right now he's down one or two domains compared to Sarnors heyday, due too being a hateful caricature of his living self.

The hammer is something he brought into existance too smite some Dothraki in my Omake, not the real thing from back when he was a full god.

So I was just looking at the Scholarum mechanics in light of how I have been actually rolling for mages in battle and realized there is some redundancy there @TalonofAnathrax if it's not too much trouble could you fold the various sorts of cleric together? We don't even have sheets for each one so there is not much point in keeping them separate.

I'm also curious what we can do with whats left of the altar.

That is how I see it too. A Herald may be sapient within its programing guidelines, but it does not have free will not is it ensouled like say a Warforged
Wouldn't there still be an animus for the miracle to target? A soul shouldn't be necessary, just like speak with dead works on soul killed entities, or we were able to take a piece of a soulkilled corpse and make a trophy out of it.
