Because raising ghosts is not something Viserys would be interested in, so we need to throw off that suspicion.

Remember that there is already a devil that outright approached us and said "hey, wanna team up to fuck Mammon together?"

They suspect us to be here
 
That spiritual necromancy scroll is big OP.

But... not sure how well our disguise would hold up against it.

It also doesnt smoothly intersect with our interests in anything besides designing anti ghost wards.

Spiritual necromancy might be useful for that positive energy undead project. It depends on if we can work some more general spirit manipulation out of it to help bind PE elementals called using Animate with Spirit into true persistent undead or not.

It'd also be fun for undead related ethereal plane projects, like making enchantments to ruin the average ghost's day.
 
We don't need it, and if we bid on it, mild interest in so morbid a subject, not to mention usually proscribed against or heavily regulated, would imply a lot about our interests. Granted an explanation could imply it was a more innocuous use we had in mind, but the more people have ammo to probe us, the more info we can let slip.

Yeah, it seems like a reasonable limit for a potentially interesting item, but not one we are overly excited about. I'm pretty sure this auction is only for serious bidders, as Heaven's Shore isn't for neophyte Planar travelers but is rather for the experienced, powerful, and wealthy. Being penny pinchers here is probably more attention grabbing than being a bit looser with our coin.

Won't say no to giving Lya more to work with but yeah there should be better shit for us to work with.

Also Mimic Shopkeeper is legit one of the best concepts I've read about today! I absolutely fucking love it!! Hehe mimic shoppkeeper! Man typing and thinking about it makes me smile.

With some practice manipulating its internal anatomy, the Mimic could even have one or more Portable Holes stored within itself which it can access at need.
 
Imagine how many centuries it took a mimic to teach itself the concept of commerce and capitalism...
 
So i started reading this a couple days ago and I'm barely in the thousands, and it's honestly great and I'm absolutely loving it.
Viserys is about to start pirating and everything is still going great. With one exception, Tiamat.
I haven't read the up to date character sheets so i don't spoil myself to much, but i have to absolutely know this:
Is Daenerys still serving the fucking bitch?
Since i read the parts after Viserys resurrection i have felt nothing but hate and rage for her, and i am nearing illumination with the hate i feel every fucking time I read someone advocating for not cutting the connection.
Sometimes the frustration becomes too much and i want nothing more than to strangle whoever posts in favor of her and burn them to ashes.
If nothing else, this quest has showed me that I'm a Targaryen at heart.
Last, but not less important, Viserys has been a bad brother to Danny, he only hugs her when something bad happens!

Making a guess, this could be interesting for the Hollow Angel due to his personal state and for Shugenja in relation to his arts.
Maybe for the Devil in the very general interest of more power, more armies for his master.

Neither we, nor the Astronomer seem to have a reason to seriously bid here, so we can just drive up the price a little bit and then let it go. I would have preferred 10k over 12k, but the difference is not enough to make a differing vote.
