We are still gonna displace at least 25% of the Westerosi aristocracy even after all this. And then there is administering the damned beast. So many people. So many actions. We are going to be spending at least one IRL year trying to bring that continent up to the standards of the Essosi portion of the Imperium.

Not to mention the religious squabbling, the goddamned fey, god knows how many Demonic, Daemonic and Devilish cults and whatever remains of the enemies that miraculously got away.
Actually, I calculated. It can't be more than 15%. Maaaybe 20% if some disaster dominos unfolds.

I doubt it'll get anywhere close in a year. We'll be able to get some prestige stuff done with magic, like redoing fleabottom, but not anything like provincial infrastructure.

You are forgetting that Essos has nearly no canon characters, so nobody cared all that much when I plotted the wholesale slaughter of everyone who had inconvenient opinions.

In Westeros, I have to fight over every bloody body.
It helped that a significant portion of Essosi aristocrats were genuinely horrible people. Wholesale slaughter of nameless monsters is a bit more acceptable than offing named Westerosi nobles, even the shitty ones. As bad as some of the Westerosis are, very few of them are even close to being as bad as an average Tyroshi or Lyseni magister.

Eh. The Tyroshi were known for being assholes, but the Myrish and most Lyseni were decent enough folks.

Ehhh, yeah. A handful are utter monsters, but as Azel stated, even Tywin Lannister takes care of the peasants decently compared to other lords. He just tends to go 1000% overboard when it comes to dealing with other nobles.

I am pretty sure that if Tywin had not massacred our family. we probably would have just executed him...which while bad pales in comparison to what is going to happen.

Edit: He is not awful to his peasants. He is awful to her enemies...which are usually his peer nobility.

Even terrible people can be worked with, as our history has shown. It's just so much more convenient sometimes to clean house and go on a murder spree.

Hence us wiping out the nobility of Lys for the most part, and sparking a civil war in the Vale.

We are working with far worse people then him. He just has the problem of whom he fucked over.

We could have been the bestest of friends, had he killed a few Tyrells or Starks instead.

It certainly made us more productive.

We could have grown to tolerate one another. While a strong proponent for centralization, it was typically centered upon himself. I suppose we've overcome worse diplomatic hurdles, the DC for convincing Tywin strong government benefited him probably isn't anywhere near as high as the DC for making Melisandre doubt.

By the time the conquest comes and the fighting is settled, we'll be able to field at least 8 or 10 teams of engineers and building crews equipped with a set of Titan's Tool, not counting those still working in Essos.

Fleabottom will get a team, and it will do wonders for that pit, but most of them will be dedicated to improving transport infrastructure throughout the continent. Improved bridges and roads will come very quickly after that.

Why such a confident and high estimate?
Court of Stars won't be pleased with their plans being subverted after all the investment they've put into it. Especially the Tyrells who've been at the center of the most prominent deals. Definitely seems like grounds for retribution.

They've even got their "Queensguard" to carry out the deed, lmao.

This might be a stupid question but are the Tyrells really more useful alive? They did start the stupidly annoying trend in the Reach of making deals with Fey and gave the Court of Stars a lot of power/legitimacy.

I wasn't thinking just stuff like roads and bridges, but also the administrative infrastructure. We're going to have to deal with all kinds of trouble there.

We're going to need to find literate and numerate people to work in it, but most of the "free" locals will be maesters, who have a long tradition of using positions like that to subtly guide politics. If we bring in too many Essosi managers then we'll have to deal with discontent about foreigners taking positions of power. Managing all of that will make rolling out imperial governmental services of all kinds slower and more complicated.
