Shall we put out an article on our Glorious forces crushing the Golden Company?
Statements on jolly cooperation with the local law enforcement groups alongside?

We probably could push pretty strong narrative of "we dont get into local politics of the far-off places, but we'll fight the dangers to people of the world to it's very borders".

Belittling Tiamat and setting her up as a mere Demon that was smitten by the powers of the Empire-approved gods is a neat bonus :V
Some insult to injury, that.

I really want to do this. The Targaryens annihilating the Blackfyres is absolutely something to celebrate about, considering our ancestors failed for the last hundred odd years.

Headline should be the death of an alleged Blackfyre pretender in Yi-Ti, with some pointed warnings about the cruel goddess that aided them.

Mention specifically how the Moonchaser had it's first true combat deployment, excelling at murdering lesser draconids in droves. Also a full article on the Moonchaser class anti-grav vessels, including the launch of the next two and the begin of the construction of the Dauntless.

Have articles about the Temple of Unity and the gods if the Imperium.

Another article on the construction begin of the Imperial Palace, including concept drawings.

Ooh, yay. A temple for all the gods of the Imperium! :D We do need to leave plenty of extra space left over for new gods joining, though.

The centerpiece will be the Imperial Palace. The temple is mostly to encourage a proper pantheon forming.
Ooh... Well, one thing we definitely want is to start slotting in projects for Lya to study and accomplish Runecrafting. The faster she maxes that out the more we have to work with for the palace and the Imperial God.

First we'll need the Imperial Steel seed from the pseudo-Meraxas-god-thing. That's meant as the main conduit for the physical parts of the Pseudo-Deity.

So I'm looking at the winning vote and the trouble is I don't think I can sort out a turn plan this late. It's midnight and there are a lot of voting options to sort through and categorize.

I think we might have to leave it at two updates again tonight unfortunately

Here's what I have so far for the next issue of the Imperial Times, @Crake, @egoo, @Azel, @Duesal, @everyone.

If there are any additions or adjustments ya'll think are needed, let me know and I'll include them.
[] The Imperial Times Issue #3: Included in the link is a variation of that logo with a depiction of Viserys in Dragon-form and Planetos guarded by his wings during his rest, depicted upon the title page.
-[] Details: The Broadsheets will each have an Arcane Mark differentiated with each Issue #. This will make tracking them with a proper ritual and foci (the Marker key) simple for any properly trained mage or expert. The Broadsheets will be hardened by sorcerous means, the batches not being overly bulky, enough that there's no reason that Viserys couldn't do it himself to maximize potential Hardness rating.

-[] Editorials: Continue providing information seeking to inform people of the state of the world, nothing that a well-traveled sailor could not pick up in a port, but purged of the most outlandish inaccuracies and seeking to educate and inform--hopefully the fact that most of what is happening in the world is actually quite riveting when given the right prose will keep people passing it along as-written.
--[] Continue with the serialized set of stories and fables, supported by visually expressive art.
---[] They will tell about Fey, the kind we deem acceptable, about how to spot Devil/Demon/Daemon cultists, about the spheres and so on and so forth (the point is twisting the narrative of those supernatural creatures that are seriously affected by it, to more sensible and useful direction, while also giving general population a minimal understanding of basic concepts we want them to know).

-[] The Fall of the Golden Company!: The main article will feature our destruction of the Golden Company and the death of the last Blackfyre pretenders in far off Yi-Ti outside the walls of Tradertown.

--[] Highlight the multiple factors which allowed us to dominate the engagement, including the Moonchaser's first true combat mission, the Wyverns screaming through the skies, the brave and stalwart Minotaur assault force, our Dragons and Dragonriders, as well as many others who played a pivotal part in the battle.
---[] Conclude the article with a brief recounting of the defeat of an earthly avatar of the Golden Company's dark goddess at the hands of the Dragon King and his loyal Companions.

-[] Imperial Airforce: Have a dedicated article that puts a spotlight on the Moonchaser-class ships, the Wyvern-class fighters and the current efforts to expand the force by the construction of the Dauntless.
--[] Include an interview with Captain Moonsong and the usual propaganda and recruitment information.

-[] Yi-Ti Expedition: After many months at sea, the massive trade fleet composed of Imperial ships and those representing many of our allies has reached the distant port of Yin. A smashing success, the expedition will soon return to Imperial territory by way of magic, the holds of each ship laden with goods from the far east.
--[] More than a simple economic triumph, the arrival of the trade fleet also marked the establishment of official ties between the Imperium and the Azure Empire. An embassy will soon be established in Yin that will work to foster even greater ties between the two powers.

-[] Announcing the Temple of Unity: Construction will soon begin on a new temple. Rather that being devoted to a single god, however, or an established pantheon such as the Seven, this temple will honor all friendly gods worshiped within the Imperium. It is the hope of the Dragon King that the Temple of Unity will encourage friendship and cooperation not only among the devout, but among the gods themselves.

-[] Announcing the Imperial Palace: Not merely a magnificent home befitting the Dragon King, the palace which will soon begin construction is meant to house critical government offices, laboratories, the Imperial treasury, and many other necessities of the state.
--[] Along with a brief description, include high quality concept images that will show the palace as it will appear upon completion.

-[] Propaganda Posters (Continued from previous issue): Pro-Imperium propaganda along the lines of recruitment for the the imperial institutions—Legion, the Scholarum, the Inquisition, the Imperial Administration, the Diplomatic Corps, etc. These will come in the form of illustrated posters captioned by truespeech.
--[] For the Inquisition the posters will be along the lines of security and trust, focusing mainly on the need for citizens to cooperate and share intel for the good of the empire. (the Inquisition recruits on their own, that shouldn't be messed with). The themes of this poster will focus on the various threats that the Inquisition regularly squares off against -- mainly fiends, but also Deep Ones.

--[] For the Legion the posters will focus on the need citizens to cooperate, but also on recruitment. These will be images of glory and righteousness, of liberation and justice. Your basic army recruitment stuff, but embellished as much as we can. They'll illustrate how the Legion defends the Imperium, brings law to godforsaken cities, frees whatever slaves they come across, etc. It's a rallying cry to join in, to see the nearest recruiter, etc.
--[] For the Scholarum again the need to cooperate, but this one is more an advertisement that they're a legal and certified means of magical expertise, be it for crafting or other things. This could be split in two different approaches—the first being like some university's advertisement, detailing the courses and the resources (geared towards those who are more interested in learning and research), and the second being a call to duty for all eligible mages to rise to serve (this would mirror the Legion posters in a way, with an obviously arcane bent to it).
--[] For the Diplomatic Corps and the Imperial Administration the general idea is to portray how vital their jobs are and what lives they touch. For the latter, for example, focus on the imperial works in progress, how the materials are being shipped there, the roads being built to connect the Imperium in full, etc. "One Empire". It basically writes itself.

-[] Continue adding to the newly serialized "Monster's Manual", focusing on common threats to the individual regions.

-[] "An Exile's Journey, Part Three"
--[] PENDING

------[] To Be Continued

...Or we can just start voting on the turnplan that @Crake prepared.

I mean, c'mon, we all know that it'll pass with little to no changes.
We've been at this for about a year already.

A lot of time and effort was brought into making sure everyone was okay with the PC-assignment, and I'm pretty sure most of us trust Crake hands-down with infrastructure/military/economy-related matters.

I still need to cover the company rolls without messing up. Still to compensate for missing updates I'll just leave up the turn plan for debate with interludes just 12 hours, not the usual 24.

@Goldfish, missing an article on the Moonchasers in general and the beginning of the work on the Dauntless. Best to couple it with an interview of Moonsong.

Also, speaking of which, @Goldfish, @TalonofAnathrax, everyone else, if you all would like to do another Issue of the Imperial Times, now is the time.

Here is the previous issue.
Thanks for tagging me.
@Goldfish, IMO the "Exile's Journey" can go from there (end of the Mantarys Arc) until the conquest of Tyrosh. We should emphasize a little of what we did in between those two events : we met with the Sealord and coordinated against various monsters, we arranged for peaceful relations between the Dragon of Tolos and the Archons, and arranged for an Archon (include reminder of their morals) to journey with [KHAL AND HORSE] and help spread better practices among the Dothraki.
We don't only conquer : we arrange for peaceful relations, bringing trade, cooperation, and even some morality to the barbarians (we effectively turned Dothraki raiders into mercenaries with an Archon minder).
However, this is also the period in which we singlehandedly fought off the Baratheon-Lannister fleet. Include that too!

Can you write up that section? My brain hurts. I just popped a bunch of ibuprofen and now I'm gonna go bury my head under a pillow. I'll add it in later.

Can you write that part up? The annexation of Tyrosh can wait till next month if you would prefer.

Feels a hit clashing with the way the Inquisition is supposedly set up - people don't find it, it finds the people.

Eager people are all fine and well for any other institution, but I don't think that it matches the MO of Inquisition much.

No complaints otherwise.

...Maybe besides me still wanting to keep Tiamat's mentions to as insignificant and unimportant as possible - but then we kinda fall flat with "this group was a legitimate power"-statement of ours, making us look like we blew up a minor group with overwhelming firepower and trying to lord it...

That's not quite what it means. For the Inquisition it's meant to be more along the lines of "support the Inquisition, if you see something say something, etc". This isn't for Inquisition recruitment.

EDIT: Wait, Goldfish changed the propaganda posters? @Goldfish, @egoo is right, no direct recruitment posters for the Inquisition.

Yes, IMO the annexation of Tyrosh really should wait until next month at least. For perspective, the Listener's death is around page 120 of reader mode, while the invasion of Tyrosh is around page 245. That's a full year IC, and a whole lot of stuff to cover.

How about we go from Mantarys to the first time we trashed Tiamat in Essaria? That would tie in neatly with Tiamat's defeat in the East this month (from the "news" section).

I'll be writing this up in about 12 hours : going to sleep now too.

-----[] Detail the aftermath of the taking of Tyrosh, including the cleansing of the Daemon taint, the freeing of the enslaved masses, and the casting down of the magisters, for even those not befouled by monsters were not fit to rule of free men and women.
Goldfish, many of these people became part of our administration or fell into other roles... maybe something along the lines of "the judgement of Tyroshi Magisters, for even mundane corruption and abuses of their fellow man was not acceptable in the eyes of the Dragon King."

Well, glad to have you finally on board then! It's kinda nice seeing all these new and old faces participating.

And nice on getting through school! I also just (technically) graduated from Highschool recently.

(Yes, I know that makes me the youngest member of the bunch compared to, say, Goldfish)
Second year of College for me. And holy shit, finding the update I was last on, how do I even begin?

Look through your likes given? Is there a search function there?
Or search through your own posts in this thread, see if you reference a specific update.
Otherwise, well... Look and see which updates you've liked or not, using Reader Mode to skim through them faster?
