I thought the plan was to have a coronation on Empire Day. It was not voted on or anything so maybe I'm misremembering and in any case you guys would have to vote to have one.
The only reference to a coronation I've found lately was me saying that we really should get the palace construction going so that we can have one when the throne room is finished.I thought the plan was to have a coronation on Empire Day. It was indeed not voted on, it's one of those nebulous "when the time is right" things, like when Viserys marries Lya. Neither date is set in stone.I thought the plan was to have a coronation on Empire Day. And my plan was to have the coronation in the 4th month to kick off the pacification of the western provinces.
It's less that we can't do so and more that we would immediately kick off the war with that.We can't declare ourselves Emperor without the other half of the de jure title that lends us the legitimacy to do so.
We're getting close. I'm really excited to finally conquer Westeros. All that diplomancing, all that dealing with Fey and Devils and Others, all of it finally paying off.The only reference to a coronation I've found lately was me saying that we really should get the palace construction going so that we can have one when the throne room is finished.

One long line of "look who stabbed a knife in your back while you weren't looking" to really rub it in.It's less that we can't do so and more that we would immediately kick off the war with that.
Especially if we follow my rough ideas for the coronation, which would include having oaths reaffirmed by our subjects, including those who gave them in private.
It's important to make sure your enemies morale is as low as possible at all times. ☝One long line of "look who stabbed a knife in your back while you weren't looking" to really rub it in.
Nah only some of the time, sometime you want them to have high morale, so they become overconfident, and charge into your trap. It's important to make sure your enemies morale is as low as possible at all times. ☝

Everyone, I have the perfect date for the wedding !
Viserys should marry Lya on the second day of the tenth month of this year. It'll be the 5-year anniversary of the date we met!
Otherwise, we should do it on the 5-year anniversary of their first kiss, or something. But I couldn't find that update to figure out the date, so whatever.
That would be a real flex on the whole world. Carve lya's face one the moon.Have the ceremony be on the moon.
"I can't give you the world, yet. So instead, I'll give you the next best thing."
And name the spot: "Lya's Smile."
@DragonParadox, is this still true? Does Richard still plan on repenting on his deathbed for a better chance at heaven, or has he changed his mind now that he's been around us and our Seven-hating ways? Or did the discover of Hellven reinforce his desire to aim for a backup heaven?"The Maiden is always filled with compassion and willing to hear the pleas of the repentant" So said the Seven-Pointed-Star. Just to be sure he would repent, when he was on his death-bed old, honored and rich.
The Sevens Heaven is unlikely to be Hellven anyway, they're just one of those religions, who has stolen an Outer Planes name for their afterlife.@DragonParadox, is this still true? Or does he still have the same plan, but with a different God in mind?
Or does he trust us to rezz him and/or build a better heaven before his time comes?[/spoiler]
My point was that knowing that he basic Heaven had become Hellven might make him more anxious about getting into the Seven's Heaven. The Sevens Heaven is unlikely to be Hellven anyway, they're just one of those religions, who has stolen an Outer Planes name for their afterlife.

Ha! Too true! The block is also very deliberately not connected to any of the planned wards and protections, magical only in the tongue of its inscriptions at Teana's suggestion. "I have lost count of how many otherwise daunting old protections I was able to take apart in Volantis because the ward-smith conveniently built one enormous centrally located keystone into them,"
