I'm still enjoying these infrastructure updates, DP. Here comes civilization!

[X] Keep it for a potential fey court

[X] Plant a Heart Tree there

I'm not super enthused about MORE fae when we have had so much trouble with fae already between Ymeri and the Court of Stars and whatnot

Every Fey we've ever ingratiated to ourselves has worked out just fine. A bit of a handful but then so are some of our own Companions.

It's the ones who are out only for themselves that have been a pain in the ass.

Hate them personally, but they've proven useful before and the ones that have verified their loyalty are some of our strongest vassals.

Also bribery is like 70 percent of our recruitment/tactical strategy so having the Fey equivalent of a Island mansion is just too good to pass up.

The difference there is that Ymeri and the Court of Stars haven't been hammered into the ground like an errant nail yet, and thus are still a problem. The Fey we've recruited have mostly stayed in line. As minions they are all bound by oath.

This grove holds much promise, especially considering we are diplimancing a Fey court led by a Driad next month.
Non-zero chance we get to get an offspring seed to settle there, at some point.

@Azel, @Goldfish, any recs for the creatures to craft and throw at the Wall and the Laternbearers?

Beyond the obvious need for yet-undeveloped Watchman-creatures, I recon both groups need fairly significant support these days.

I think we should just keep building up our forces with an emphasis on Plant and Plant-Imbued creatures. They're immune to most Mind-Affecting effects, and their Sunburst SLAs are brutal against the Undead.

Once we consolidate power in Westeros, there will be much less hassle providing servitors to the Wall and the Lanternbearers. This coming month is all about producing guard forces, so I'm not feeling too rushed to produce more for places we can't send them yet.

I think everything you have said here is good sense, and is the strategy we should pursue.

But I also thing that given the sheer absurd cost effectiveness of our undead troops we should continue to produce them in bulk with the understanding that they are to be used to free up our other forces to deal with Winter when the time comes. As an example of the cost efficiency I am referring to, a Black Knight with wings costs 560 IM a normal CR 6 forge creation is 1,200 IM so a Black Knight costs less than half of an equivalent forge creation.

In effect the plants should be the key part of our forces for the reasons you stated, but when the time comes we should have our extremely cost efficient undead on hand to fill their positions while we send all of our plants north.
