@Azel, stuff added.

@egoo, don't forget that we need either a leshy with high animal handling or a Greater Bloodclot Mold to control that crab.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Poison (Ex)

The skin of the Hunter Jellyfish and it's claws are coated in nettle cells, making it dangerous to touch it. Any creature attacking a Hunter Jellyfish with natural attacks, grappling it or otherwise touching it with bare skin is affected by it's poison. Likewise, the claws of the jellyfish carry the poison too.
Contact; save Fort DC 19; frequency 1/round for 1d6 rounds; effect 1d6 Con damage; cure 2 consecutive saves. The DC of the save is Constitution-based.

Jet (Ex)
A Hunter Jellyfish can press water through it's body to propel itself forward once per round as a full-round action at a speed equal to four times its swim speed. It must move in a straight line, but does not provoke attacks of opportunity while jetting.

Watersense (Ex)
Hunter Jellyfish can automatically sense the location of anything within 60 feet that is in contact with water.

This is the baseline version. The usual modifications would be making it Mighty, or stacking Advanced an Druid Creature so that it can get the spell Venomfire.

Also:
While they are awesome-sounding, I'd appreciate actual statements on how many/where to put them.

I'll fix up the assignment of the crab-menace a bit later.
I don't recall what I made those for, except as mounts for very brave Tritons and poison immune creatures.
Weren't they headhunters for random Illithid? Something we could spam into the ocean to reap a bloody toll?

Ah. I remember now.

No problem, I can include as many as we desire, then.
Question being, well, how many do we desire..?
Are we spreading a fuckload of these all along the coasts, or grouping them near the capital cities, or something else?

If we want good coverage, I'd put one full unit in SD, Volantis, Braavos, Tolos and Gogossos.

Could you calculate the price for a full unit for me? It's a pain to do that on my phone.

If one unit is 9 Squads + the rest it's...

(9 Squads)
81x Hunter Jellyfish, 1,800 IM each = 145,800 IM.
81x Black Knights with Mobility Upgrade, 560 IM each = 45,360 IM.
72x Necrotic Mold, 450 IM each = 32,400 IM.
9x Blood Clot Mold, 4,800 IM each = 43,200 IM.

(1 Unit)
9x Advanced Dire Hunter Jellyfish (CR 10?), 4,800 IM each = 43,200 IM.
8x Black Brute, 4,700 IM each = 37,600 IM.
8x Necrotic Mold, 450 IM each = 3,600 IM.
1x Black Champion = 5,360 IM.
1x Greater Bloodclot Mold = 28,800 IM.

1 Unit Total: 385,320 IM.

Hm... make it only two then. One for SD and one for Gogossos, as there's a Illithid base within spitting distance.

I think the amount of money and attention thrown at these magisters should be tempered, their heads might swell too much because of their Emperor's personal attention. On the other hand, this shouldn't be forgotten, and if they continue to impress, another commendation should be quick to follow.

Part MMMCDLXIII: Infrastructure Report on Greater Braavos and Greater Pentos
Infrastructure Report on Greater Braavos and Greater Pentos

Personal annotation on previous report: Offer commendation and work with the Iron Bank to help finance low-interest loans, the first should appeal to their vanity while the second might yield good results and improve their opinion of Braavos and its institutions. Helping to bridge that gap is useful even if they do end up squandering the coin.

***
Regarding Braavos itself, with both the restoration of Drowned Town and the creation of a messenger system within its immediate hinterlands, the Secret City is already seeing the fruits of joining the Empire. The integration of the Silver Eye into the Inquisition for all institutional purposes, though its insignia and culture will linger, has gone smoothly as they continue to keep watch over the canals. The worst otherworldly troubles they have uncovered were the work of malicious or possibly bored sprites and gremlins. Thankfully the local inquisitorial agents were savvy enough to get the fey to actually pay their fines and swear not to get into similar mischief. Doubtless they will find entirely new mischief before long.

Generally the continuing expansion of the messenger system is continuing just as steadily in most provinces, though the lack of a local tradition of horsemanship is making finding recruits to carry letters difficult. The fact that many of the riders are of foreign birth, former sellswords, wanderers and even Dothraki has lead to a few odd troubles but nothing the local lawmen could not solve by metaphorically 'soaking the troublemakers heads'. According to Vee it might be a literal in some parts of the swamp but 'folk hardly ever drown'.

Establish Messenger Service in Braavosi Coast (5/48)
Establish Messenger Service in Sweetwater (7/52)

Unfortunately, not every province is so fortunate as to avoid more substantive hurdles. Through what you understand is a combination of 'someone's idiot cousin sticking his oar in' dozens of projected messenger posts were set to be built on unstable ground and likely to be flooded once every three months. Thankfully the error was caught before much construction could take place, but the work will still cost the state in both time and coin to perform again.

Establish Messenger Service in Morrogos (6/17) -> Lost 7,500 IM

Meanwhile in Pentos the efforts of General Torchwood have been thankfully paired with an absence of magical troubles and a relatively swift expansion of the guard posts from the Velvet Hills to Nontelos, the latter of which have even been completed and bringing more security to long since bandit-haunted vales.

It is however again the survey crews working to cut roads through the hills for the newly recruited messengers who came upon the most remarkable find. At first it had seemed to be nothing more than an odd sort of aspen grove, unlikely to be of interest to anyone but the local carpenters and builders when and if someone actually settled close enough to make harvesting the wood worthwhile, but a lotus leshy who had taken up traveling with the survey team to satisfy wanderlust uncommon in its kindred noticed something odd about the way life flowed through the earth.

The 'grove' is in truth a single living thing untied in a mass of interwoven roots that is likely centuries or even millennia old. From what the local mages had been able to discern this had once been the abode of fey but they left long ago, nothing but a fading enchantment pushing men to settle elsewhere to mark their previous habitation.

Establish Messenger Service in Pentos (6/27)
Establish Messenger Service in Andal Coast (11/16)

It would make an excellent place to settle a fey court, particularly one centered around a dryad princess, but according to Vee it could also serve as a place to grow a Godswood of considerable power. Not so great as the Tree of the Dawn Age or the trees that watch over the forges in Lys or Gogossos of course, but being able to spread the power of the Old Gods through the colony would allow the anchoring of stronger enchantments than is usually possible, particularly protective ones. There are after all spells in the lore of the Old Gods to animate a tree to the sorcerer's defense. In this case one tree is an army.

What do you do with the aspen colony?

[] Keep it for a potential fey court

[] Plant a Heart Tree there

[] Leave it be

OOC: I hope these infrastructure updates have not been too much of a change from the usual run of the quest. There are only two of them after this to go.

I really love these sections DP. Really give a personality to the rest of the empire instead of just a name.

It helps knowing there are civilisation outside the cities.

The relevant question is if there is anything worth defending in the area. Something worth an army of trees.
If so great.

But if not we could really use the potential location for Wyldfey and those leaving the Court of Stars in our favor.

A few scattered villages, but you guys could always put more people there or anything else you might want to defend.

@DragonParadox, in which area is the grove exactly?

It's on the Andal Coast, in the old Pentosi lands.

[X] Keep it for a potential fey court

Far out from anything relevant, but close enough for communication with Braavos or Pentos.
Good enough if we want to recruit Fey Lords of the Court of Stars.
