It is fair to point out we didn't actually start on Fossoway after we caught him being a massive ass to his niece (I think she was his niece). That's when we got serious about messing with him because not only was he doing something bad to someone who couldn't really defend herself and who he was supposed to take care of, he was doing it stupidly, so our respect for him hit zero and kept going downwards.
Yeah, but, you know, it could have been resolved differently. Someone like Danelle would have talked to him and tried to mend fences and help him see the errors of his way, trying tk make him a better person.

We just shat on him, because it was funny, he couldn't do a thing to stop us and nobody helped him because we made sure he was seen as the villain of the song.

Old Glyra would have been proud.

Was it kinder or crueler that we didn't do more than make him look extremely foolish?

I would say crueler, since now anything he does will have a veneer of absurdity hanging upon it.

Perhaps kinder, since he could also just find someone who's good at public relations and figure out how to turn his reputation around... someone smart, someone savvy, who knows how to manage image and make one look better than they actually are.

Are you trying to turn Viserys into a greek god?

Because if so, I'm nominating Oberyn to be the Zeus expy.

Apollo wouldn't work becouse everyone he falls in love with ends up dead

It is exactly due to THAT reason is why he is Apollo.

Remember Elia? (Yes, I know she's well and kicking and so does her daughter, butthat'sbesidethepoint!)

The other reason would be:

A) The Sun iconography. Hard to not compare him to Apollo considering that's the Dornish symbol in everything. Hell, his city of birth is called Sunspear!!

B) He's a man of many talent! He could write songs, recite poetries, and able to dance like a genie would fly in the Ever-Lasting Sky. The gentleman that could swoon any ladies and even men to his side. A master of carousing.

Though, I sincerely hope that whatever wive (Wives? :thonk: ) that he has in the future would not end up falling of a cliff. That would be such a tragedy, don't you think?

No room on the turn plan for a trip north to try to find Rina's eidolon?
Nnnnno, sorry.
It's a full-blown dungeon-delve, one likely going beyond CR 17 at the very least.
We'd need a team full of Companions for that, and, well, Fey and Asmodeus are taking up all the ones we'd go with for the month.

I mean, Ice Dragons are a thing. And we'd go quite damn far into the Winter's lands.

Just a while after I went to bed, I had a thought:
See Fossoway going from merely rude to complete asshole over a few chapters for a recent example. His characterization became steadily worse as the enmity grew. People were even calling attention to the fact while it happened.
This happened. Now my question is, did this happen due to narrative warping, or did this happen because we were somewhere referred to as 'halfway into the feywyld', and it pushed Fossoway further into the fairy tale bad guy's role because that is something it does? We know the feywyld spits out dark fae as much as dashing lords and ladies, so the fae's protection field having some side effects along this vein would be completely in character.

Even if we hadn't exacerbated any potential damage in this particular case, we should certainly check at some point to make sure it isn't doing things like this to people's brains.

@TalonofAnathrax, do you want the stated amount of Lillends, or going even above?
@Azel, @Crake, Lejnths are just us throwing something at a wall and seeing if it sticks, but as the numbers show, we can summon a lot more of them if we want to.

Otherwise, the "Free HD" will be Phoenixed. Not the worst way to do things.
Albeit I'm still partial to summoning some Daemonic Champions and bottling them inntead.

If @anyone has any particular Outsider types they want to try summoning, feel free to chime in.
Keep in mind that we are still not summoning sacrifices indiscriminately though, so if someone refuses to cooperate, and they aren't Mammon's*, they'll be sent back.

*I'm still of the opinion we should kill off Mammon's followers that refuse to cooperate, and not just send them back.

Whatever, really. We can fit up to 16 new teachers in our system (in Tyrosh) without breaking the cap and having to pay extra money.
Just to check : these Lillends haven't been teaching this month, but when we do summon them @DragonParadox will mention it in an update and they will start teaching at the beginning of next month, right?
I'm wondering when to add them to the sheets. If my prior supposition was correct, then I'll add them to the sheets after we see this month's new mageling distribution, at the same time as our new ability to train Magewrights is added.

By the way, everyone, I'm making a habit of putting our best teachers in SD whenever possible, and shuffling shittier teachers once better ones come around. So a bunch of these Lillends will teach in SD, and some of SD's current Druid Leshy teachers will move over to Tyrosh.
Any issues with that? Or do you think it's best not to move teachers around, and send the Lillends to Tyrosh?

Well, yeah, I assume so.
Teaching from the get-go is unlikely to be a thing, everyone needs time to settle into the job.

I would know.

Wasn't the point of them to make Bards a possibility to train all-around?
I'm not anyway versed in the system, but I would assume that spreading them somewhat evenly around the Scholarums would be needed?

As a side note, I wonder if I should try to account for any summons refusing to work for us. Like putting in ~30 summons of Lillends worth of HD, and only 15 being a thing (since they aren't sacrifices/enemy agents we are grabbing).
More realistic, but more moving details as well...
:/

Definitely put the best teachers in Sorcerer's Deep. The crown city is the place with all the best learning bonuses.

Doesn't DP roll for that already?? For every batch of summons, he tells us how many accept the job offer.

Personally I think every branch should have at least basic teachers for every major branch of magic so that pupils can get a basic grounding in the field everywhere and then move to other branches who are focusing more on the topic in question.

So far, we've only summoned Phoenixes, who have unequivocally taken to our Empire.
The few beings who didn't take jobs were Mammon's Devils, whom we sent back... one way or another.

This would be a new thing.
For the Inqusition, these things are pretty nice: Hellcat – d20PFSRD
Will ~20 be enough for Inquisition overall?
We aren't noting the details of how many Inquisitors we have working in the background or anything, so I can't take more than a guess :/
Permanently hiring some Earth Elementals, Water Elementals and Positive Energy Elementals would also be neat. For mining, farming and healing respectively.
'Aight, I suppose they are generally a better investment for now than random Phoenixes, whom we have in hundreds anyway.
I'd also love to have a bunch of Veela to form a dance troupe and teach dancing to our bards.
Any specific kind, or just all in general?
Trying to count HD for something like this is really weird in the retroactive way it is being done.
I mean, they may or may not have accepted, may or may not have required more summoning... ugh.

Hey @Azel, I just got an idea.

We have two Living Spells that we haven't been using.

If we toss them into the Forge, could we unlock Living Spells? Or at least those specific Living Spells? Put one Panacea in every city, one in every Legion, give a few to the Night's Watch, etc.

When exactly are we planning on invading Westeros? I mean all this going around securing the loyalty of all the lords is basically pointless, as we can already conquer Westeros without breaking a sweat with what we already have. . .

1. Hm... I think 10 are enough for the Inquisition, but we could also throw a bunch of them at Rhango and Gogossos. They are noted to love hunting and don't care all that much about eating their prey, so they could decimate the Sothoryos wildlife and gather bodies for the forge.

2. You can also toss in a few Fire elementals for our metalworking business in SD.

3. I'm not sure about this one to be honest. It's more an idle fancy.

For the Reach at least, this is mostly to make sure the Reach Lords don't sell their land to the Court of Stars.

The schedule is planning it for the 4th Month of the new year. That's when the economic mess caused by Littlefinger is reaching it's crescendo, making even the last country bumpkin cheer for the Legion when it will march.

Veela might be Fey in this setting.
One seems to be leading the Red faction of the CoS from our reports.

A Sword Without a Hilt: A Song of Ice and Fire/D&D 3.5 Crossover In a world where magic has all but guttered to ashes, becoming the fare of charlatans, petty conjurers, and ragged illusionists, a mighty change is stirring. From small and fragile sparks a great blaze will be reborn and men will...
