Did that Fey knight just figure us out? Like how did he?

Anyway What's the plan? The knights and the lord seem alright. The Fossoway knight seems like a ass but wonder for any specific reason though. Doesn't like the Fey knight.

Oh shit. Westros might finally be stepping into high fantasy with fey knights and wizards. I say we invade right now.
Yes, the mythic dragon sorcerer emperor is the right antidote for that.

I like that air of amused tolerance towards the knights/lord/eldritch being.
"I' m dangerous"
"Isn't it cute? And it even talks!"

[X] Perhaps once Lord Ashford has seen Ser Geralt's prowess on the field for himself, he might even be enticed by further sonnets of his brave deeds? The famed minstrel Buttercup is ever at his service, of course, a song always at the edge of hearing.
-[X] For some reason, Buttercup, the madman he is, thinks he can better record Ser Geralt's deeds from within the tourney grounds... on the field! Take part in the melee and give Dark Sister the entertainment she so demanded, while Ser Geralt makes it look like he's trying to keep your foolish idiot self alive. You can taunt and deliver witticisms all the while.

Richard isn't great at bluffing and between the story being told and the obviously powerful knight deferring to the ludicrously charismatic bard...

"Your bluffing sucks."
"I invested in swording."
"Fair."

I will be honest this is the most fun I have had with this quest since I got caught up with it. I am absolutely loving this.
It even works IC - I don't think Viserys wants to become Stannis.

You know I hope once we take Westeros and start ramping up our operations to conquer THE WORLD! we still do stuff like this occasionally, just to loosen up.

[X] Walk around the tourney in the run-up to the joust to see what other fey or personages of import are present
-[X] Make sure that you get "accidentally" signed up for the melee.
-[X] Give another performance if there is a good moment to do so, singing the song of Ser Geralt and the Ravenous Landsharks.

For some reason I'm imagining Owen Ashford's group as a PC party who's accidentally stumbled upon a very high CR encounter, and they don't realize it.

GM: OK, so you've heard rumors this morning about a mystery knight who will be entering the tournament.

Ashford Player: Oh? What exactly did we hear?

GM (*rolls*): That the mystery knight's name is Ser Geralt, and that he fought beast headed monsters up north. You know this because Ser Geralt has a bard retainer who's made a very, very catchy song about it. Practically everyone is humming the tune today.

Dregaire Player: Wait, like my fey knight? Can we use the song to try and find out IC knowledge about the Others?

GM: Roll Knowledge

DP *rolls*

GM
: Hmm. Yeah, that's high enough. The bard is spot on. You can easily tell from the rumors that Ser Geralt fought at least one Peryton.

Cerin Player: Wait, so we're expected to believe this random knight just fought his way into the north, and slew a CR 4 monster by himself?

DP: Don't be dumb, GM said that Ser Geralt has a bard. While the npc's might think that's just a singer, I'll bet you anything that's an actual Magic-casting bard who's a member of Geralt's party.

CP: Oh, so they're like our rivals then. So who else would be in their party?

GM: You don't know that information off hand, you'll have to try and meet Ser Geralt and his party in person.

AP: Woo! We're going tavern trawling! Time to finally use that notice-me-not charm we picked up from those homicidal brownies.

This is going to be a fun arc and I think one that is sorely needed. Considering both the absolute chaos that was the Tiamat fight and the absolute chaos that is RL I think this will be good.

Richard didn't really bluff. As for letting the bard talk well the Fey knight asked Buttercup a question. Just find it weird that a bard talking means its obviously Viserys like there aren't other good talking people.

I mean this entire arc seems to be a stress relief trip. Some people find relief in nature, some with friends, but for Viserys, it is dressing up as some one else and trolling a continent.

There's "a bard talking well" and "bard with Charisma 34 and a total diplo check over 100 talking well".
