This lore is the type of info bomb that we should definitely follow through on. We need to see if the Old Gods remember anything about this, if the Father Sky or Mother Earth would be willing to tell us anything, if Yss remembers anything, etc.

A god is not lightly chained.

For all we know this might be a First Men god.

Okay, minor action for next month? This is a huge deal for the upcoming Deep One war.

Yeah, I would prefer to do this after we tackle the Golden Company and kick Tiamat in the face(s). We're too close to wrapping up that thread to be attracting too much potential deific ire from yet another source.

I'm down for anything, that's just a particularly applicable template that I'm interested in. It can turn anything into an ampibious creature. It would expand our options considerably.

I mean I would be down to look at the markets to see if there are any creatures with any interesting templates we can chase after. In the case that they are sentient we can just as easily get their template the non-violent way...through research and analysis and donations of limbs and blood...that we will grow back.

Edit: Buy and release...and maybe recruit.

@Goldfish, could you jog my memory how many spells per day and spells known a Sorcerer Creature gets with 9 HD?
2 1st level, 2 2nd level, one 3rd level.
Here's how it would normally be applied if you strictly stick to the template, but the way DP has applied spellcasting templates to creatures, and the way we've been applying them to our own, is that it simply gives the creature a barebones spellcasting level equal to their HD and access to spells and spells per day determined by the chart in the template.

At 9 HD, that would equate to 9th caster level while having the spell knowledge and spells per day of a 6th level Sorcerer.

EDIT: That would be (Cantrips: 6/day, 1st level: 6/day, 2nd level: 5/day, and 3rd: 3/day, plus bonus slots based on Charisma) with seven Cantrips, four 1st level spells, two 2nd level spells, and one 3rd level spell known.

@Goldfish, thank you. I remembered deviating from the default, but not in which way.

Edit: Did we use Expanded Arcana for them in the past? Because having only one 3rd level spell would be rather annoying for my build.

Isn't it HD -2?

No, that's an artifact of the Pathfinder Sorcerer class, which is so much more awesome than standard 3.5 Sorcerers. They come with Bloodline-based powers, so if we were using that version of Sorcerers, the templates would provide the relevant Bloodline powers with a level equal to HD - 2.

I'm not sure what you're working on, but we can also provide some additional spells for cheap.

Gloves of the Starry Sky give Light at will and allow the wearer to use 1st level slots to cast Magic Missile, and Goggles of the Golden Sun do the same with 3rd level slots and Fireball spells. DP has also let us use a Flashburst variant instead of Fireball spells. We've placed the effect on a lot of our peoples' earrings instead of using goggles.

It's a tree. It has neither hands, nor ears.

If you can tell me if it has any equipment slots, I'm all ear-equivalent though. :V

Would branches count as limbs? 🤔
Yeah, I'm with Duesal on this one. At least a couple of its branches should count as limbs.

Even if not, we've readily swapped the item slots around for the Raiment of the Four throughout the quest. For example, we've been making Boots of the Wide Earth rather than Belts of the Wide Earth to allow some of our casters to Teleport.

If we go with that ruling, I'd rather spend it's Feats on mounted combat, give it a spiffy lance and leave additional 3rd lvl spells to PoSK's.

Let me finish the chassis real quick.
