Here's a boost to diplomancing.

Make the wearer harder to stop, at will enlarge person, and thrice a day, cast a spell that makes you stronger with every kill.
We've come across the Cloak of the Diplomat before, but never added it for Viserys. He has a higher bonus to Diplomacy and Sense Motive from one of his rings, so that won't help him, but the other effects are very nice. I've made a note to add that to Viserys' gear next month. It'll be easy enough to figure out the price of the item without the skill bonuses.

The Juggernaut's Pauldrons aren't bad, but we can apply the spell more cheaply in other ways, if we want. Something that might be good for Ricahrd.

I'm off to bed now. Happy New Years, everyone! 🥳

Just got to the point where Project Praetorian was first proposed in thread. Gotta say, powerful as they look, they're kinda horrifying. I hope none or PCs are gonna undergo that particular procedure.

Also, Happy New Year.

That's not for PCs, that's for NPCs. More than a little pointless to do that for PCs.

I assume we'll be reading it later, then?

@Azel, @DragonParadox, is there a need for me to include "read the 3rd depression-book" as an MA to the 12th month to keep note, or would the two of you be more comfortable without me "pushing" you on this subject like that?

Don't worry about it, that's in the background

I feel slightly weird we can just keep finding new templates and keep rolling for whether they are available or not.

I get this one, alright, it makes sense- but can we just settle the list at the current point?

My SoD will strain a fair bit if we get another powerful template "out of nowhere" while we would have known of it beforehand and would have applied it to other creatures.

Sorry about that. The alternative would be for me to roll/decide on every template in the game and there are hundreds of those

Glad you liked the chapters.

Added the last two cities to the informational post. Re-posting here for convenience:

Nagathisaar, Cradle of the Ancestors: The birthplace of the Naga this city is not laid out as the dwellings of men under the sky might be, not even as much as you had seen already of Seth'Vas. Instead the city is a maze of corridors meant to accompany the sinuous forms of the Naga, though one is unlikely to lack for space to stand within its bounds, the naga never stopped growing age upon age. Here guarded by the eternal ancestors lies the Great Ossuary where the bones of the honored dead were interred that the sages of days yet to come might consult them. Alas that that it was the very bones that were Nagathisaar's downfall. An anciant darkness crept though the sacred halls infesting the bones with its malice and as the wards died so too did the sage priests and all in their realm.

Thiv'Zin, The Bountiful: Constructed upon a vast sprawl of channels damns and spillways Thiv'Zin was in its heyday the most populous realm of the serpent-kin, the breadbasket of the empire, though not quite in the manner one might at first imagine for its people could not eat of the rice it grew. Instead they herded vast numbers of the painted lizards grown fat and docile though the generations. Their skill did not end with meat-beasts however. Some lizards were bred for hide others for fine bone and horn, still others for their fair plumage. Yet these herds died long ago for blight and war claimed fair Thiv'Zin.

Oh, a new Informational Update from DP? Great, let's see here—

:wtf: DP...is this a nod towards Warhammer Fantasy? Its got tombs and skeletal guardians and all! Are we gonna find an uber Evil Lizardman Necromancer God hellbent on turning the world into it's Undead Minions?

It has the word Naga right in the name. Any meta implications are more than I can comment on at this time :V

On a more serious note you guys should not assume you have to rush any of these cities, they have been lost for millennia and nothing worse than usual for Sothoyos came out.

Sothoryos could erupt in a continental scale war between various disparate factions with truly earth shattering power being unleashed and it would hardly effect us, to be fair. The economy of Westeros and Essos aren't linked to it at all (before we got there and it's hardly extracting much wealth from it relatively speaking--yet), there would be little disruption to our short-term or even medium-term plans.

But then you don't even have to escalate that far in the first place, it's just a sign that you can have serious movers and shakers that aren't us or Asmodeus making big plays and having it stick, for once having a problem on the horizon that isn't "outside scope" like the shattered/war-torn Planes, but isn't basically our backyard and thus obligate us to deal with it immediately.
