We'd have to put them literally everywhere. And more importantly people would have to let us put them there and then successfully keep the secret, probably requiring that existing guards be moved away (which would look very suspicious to someone observing from the outside).
So, better prepare some graveyard guardians, but only for our loyalists and possibly the northern houses whom we can trust to take this shit seriously.
It's a bit frustrating that they have millennia of dead at their disposal Beyond the Wall. Hundreds of barrows and failed kingdoms, millions of slain wildlings, etc. At least we'll be blasting through the Thenn barrows soon enough.
Could we try something like we did with the illithids puppet system? We have access to the living houses, we could sneak blood samples- or old bones - of our own and pay the old gods in devils and deep ones to rot all similar dead samples out of existence.
Expensive given the AoE, but the fact that the targets aren't protected or capable of resisting should mitigate that at least a little.

[X] Respect Jeyne's decision to continue her work here on Planetos. -[X] While we respect her decision and support her desire to make a difference, we would still like her to make the trip with us to Limbo to introduce her to the Githzerai. They could prove to be valuable contacts for her to make, given her unusual situation. She might also glean some valuable insight into the nature of her powers from interacting with others who share such abilities.
Hello strangers. I have been very slowly working my way through the quest, and am currently somewhere around the page 3000 mark. As I've been reading through the quest, a great deal of the images in the early updates are broken. I don't know if you're aware of the problem, but I figured I would make sure you were informed if not.
That's another matter for our House of Lords initial conclave... funerary practice standarization. If you want to do a traditional burial, it has to be on consecrated AND warded land. And you have to do your own active security on it during Winter.
Otherwise, cremation or destruction 'by other means' should pretty much be standard. Touchy subject, but well, when the alternative is asymmetric warfare against your own undead ancestors...
I mean we have the other people can provide the requisite spell thing and we dont really keep track of it much. But for mass crafting this is basically a prerequisite spell repository for weapons and armor isnt it?
Also we should have put this in the Moon Goddess Grand Temple. Well missed opportunities I guess. Maybe the Lunar one, heh.
And also a REALLY cheap upgrade for our Navy. I mean its dirt cheap enough I'd vote to have this added to the next month crafting plan for all ships. Just all of them.
And this is gonna sound cheaty as heck and I expect it to be shot down. But @DragonParadox how much do we have to research or price that up to put it on the Moonchasers?

The Dwarven Forge Figurine is neat, but not useful for us. The Farwatcher would be extremely useful, but would cost over 12,000 IM each, nearly as much as a fully upgraded Wyvern.
Now that Guardian Figurehead...that's really freaking amazing. I'll be adding one of those to the crafting schedule for each Wyvern and Moonchaser we build.

Jeyne's answer is not one you had expected, but the more you consider it the fairer it seems to you. More than subtle skill she will need power and strength of will to stand against the Deep Ones and their agents, that much you know, however different her craft might be to yours. Still, that is no reason for her to shun the company of the githzerai. Seeing with her own eyes that there are others who share the powers of the mind but are not beholden to the horrors of the depths is likely to be heartening in ways that a secondhand account can never match.
Thus you nod but add, "There might yet be worth in traveling to the monastery for a short while, to learn more of those who share your gifts. Certainly when I and my Companions were first presented with a portal to other worlds we were not the least bit inclined to linger, but we did learn much from the visit." Mostly that the Bazaar of Beggars was a cesspool of every vice known to mankind and a few men had not yet experienced, you do not add aloud. It would hardly help your point.
"Alright, then I..." Jeyne glances at Ser Roger as the knight heaves a wary sigh and nods. "We will come, Your Grace. There is something we should probably show to someone more knowledgeable in enchantments of the mind than I." So saying she reaches into her ensorcelled bag to reveal a featureless bronze mask radiating about as much power as the dagger you had recovered from the warped dragon's lair, though its full purpose is just as obscure. "It used to have tentacles," she explains softly. "When we took it off the corpse of the illithid it changed to this form, reverted maybe."
"Maybe?" you ask, catching the uneasy look in her eyes.
"When I first touched it, the mask mirrored my face," Jeyne admits with a small shudder.
Though you can think of any number of harmless reasons for the change you do not recount them. One would be very poorly served assuming that the works of the Deep Ones are not dangerous without proof as Faerex so keenly showed.

Nineteenth Day of the Eleventh Month 293 AC
A month to the day since your last visit you return to the fractal unreality of the Limbo Woods once more in the company of your mother for her diplomatic acumen, Dany for her interest in the realm she had described as 'a dream with none to dream it', Lya out of simple curiosity to see what secrets the dagger and now the mask hold, and of course Jeyne and Ser Roger. You had of course refrained from bringing the statue that had seemingly been the source of the corruption in the Sea of Ghosts here. It is more than you can guess what that thing could do to the ever-shifting currents of the Limbo Woods and you do not care to find out.
For once, however, the whims of this realm work in your favor. The six of you find yourselves much closer to the walls of the monastery where the lines of the plane are drawn clearer and the nameless skittering things have scurried off to dance among the branches elsewhere.
Though you had sent word ahead by brazier the calls to identify yourself from atop the pale walls of the monastery are as thorough as they are polite, for the mists can all too easily show the mind what it expects and there are horrors aplenty lurking within ready to take advantage of the lapse. Once you are past the outer wall, however, you are ushered past the thousand golden eyes that are the fortress monastery's windows with an alacrity your former youthful guide could not hope to match.
So it it that you come upon Grandmaster Randar meditating under the steady azure light of thought-forged crystals. In one hand he holds what looks to be a pale rose pearl as large as a child's fist, in the other the fragment of a golden tablet. "Ah, well met young ones, it seems my meditations are at an end. These are for you, of course, along with the rest of what you have traded for to better battle the Slave Masters."
"The anchors leading to the deepest parts of Elysium?" you guess, accepting the tokens
"Yes, having been asked to draw them to light I found it a fair and thrifty task to ponder upon them," he explains. "Alas, I found nothing more in the echoes of that maelstrom than usual."
"Perhaps we would be more fortunate, passing a stranger's eye upon an old riddle," Dany offers with resolute hope.
"It is my hope that you speak truth, child," the aged mystic replies. His gaze turns curiously to Jeyne but he does not address her, waiting instead for introductions.
What do you say?
[] Introduce Jeyne and get right to business, new commission and item identification

OOC: Here we are, it's a bit late, but I think a decent enough vote to last overnight.

Yeah figurine I was just noting. The uber telescope I was just lamenting we didnt make one for the Moonsinger Temple and the Figureheads I want on everything it applies for. I forgot Etrophic Shield was a thing.
Seriously even if it takes like 20 progress to research I want that upgrade for our ships. Wyverns too if we can manage it.
@Goldfish Can you keep them for our Navy and Trading vessels too? They are less than 200 IM to make. That's not much even for our smallest trading vessels.
It's like 135 IM to make as ships figure heads. I'd keep that price or maybe double at 270 for Wyverns since they are so small but still aircrafts and maybe make it atleast 1350 IM for Moonchasers to make it realistic. 2700 IM is probably more appropriate.
And this is gonna sound cheaty as heck and I expect it to be shot down. But @DragonParadox how much do we have to research or price that up to put it on the Moonchasers?

Heh, that's why I want the higher price. Weve got Command Decks for a reason. Up the price to be sane and fluff it as something you activate from on deck.
Maybe upscale the price to be thrice a day, Once a day with 10 minute duration or even constant. No idea what the price calculations for that would be.

OOC: Here we are, it's a bit late, but I think a decent enough vote to last overnight. Not yet edited.
Here's an edited version of the chapter, @DragonParadox.
Lots of good stuff to talk about during this visit, and this is as good a place to get started as any other.
[X] Introduce Jeyne, sharing the strange truth of her background, how she ended up tangled in Deep One plots, and how we freed her from them.
-[X] Then take care of business, including making new commission and identification of recently acquired psionically empowered items.
[X] Purchase whatever maps of Nirvana, Elysium, and any other Planes the Githzerai are willing to share, especially those marked with the locations of Deep One, Daemon, and Celestial strongholds.
[X] Psionic Item Commissions
-[X] x2 Crystal Rod of Reddopsi (13th Manifester Level, 1/Day) - 6,552 IM each (Total: 13,104 IM + 70% markup = 22,276.8 IM)
-[X] x2 Crystal Rod of Null Psionic Field (11th Manifester Level, 1/Day) - 4,752 IM (Total: 9,504 IM + 70% markup = 16,156.8 IM)
-[X] x40 Crystal Mask of Constant Detect Psionics (1st Manifester Level) - 800 IM each (Total: 32,000 IM + 25% markup = 40,000 IM) -[X] x10 Slotless Crystal Lenses of Constant Detect Psionics (1st Manifester Level) - 1600 IM each (16,000 IM + 25% markup = 20,000 IM)
-[X] x10 Gloves of Object Reading (1st Manifester Level) - 600 IM each (6,000 IM + 25% markup = 7,500 IM)
-[X] x10 Single-Use Crystal Fate of One Charms (13th Manifester Level) - 910 IM each (Total: 9,100 IM + 70% markup = 15,470 IM)
-[X] x10 Single-Use Crystal Temporal Acceleration Charms (Augmented to 15th Manifester level, 2 round duration) - 1,200 IM each (Total: 20,400 IM + 70% markup = 34,680 IM)
-[X] x10 Singe-Use Crystal Reddopsi Charms (13th Manifester Level) - 910 IM each (Total: 9,100 IM + 70% markup = 15,470 IM)
-[X] x20 Singe-Use Crystal Null Psionic Field Charms (11th Manifester Level) - 660 IM (Total: 13,320 IM + 70% markup = 22,440 IM)
-[X] Items Intended for Jeyne Weaver:
--[X] x1 Third Eye of Penetrate (15th Manifester Level) - 1,600 IM + 70% markup = 2,720 IM
--[X] x1 Torc of Power Preservation (15th Manifester Level) - 7,200 IM + 70% markup = 12,240 IM
--[X] Cognizance Crystals
---[X] x1 Crystal (5 Power Points, 5th Manifester Level) - 1,800 IM + 25% markup = 2,250 IM

-[X] Total: 214,203.6 IM
So @Goldfish what do you think about redoing the prices and effects for the Guardian Figureheads to better fit the airships and the battles they get into?
