One thing, this creature grew up in an area heavy with both magically corrupt and mundanely toxic waters, as far as I can tell.
We'll have to test if our oceans are actually healthy for it, if it's adapted to the local environment that would kill any healthy mortals visiting unprotected.

Similar for the Kuo-Toa.

@DragonParadox
I'm assuming neither have left the lair or the wraith-sea yet?

I don't suppose we could just make them some rock candy for them out of crystal bits and asshole ghosts?

Their dietary needs are one part physical, one part abstract, one part psychological.

Yes. They eat from one part of all three vectors, and derive nourishment from them. That was not figurative.

Somehow... somehow.

Far Realm Jazz Hands!

[X] Goldfish

I'm all for recruiting these guys.

@DragonParadox, I guess the next updates will deal with cleaning out Fearex's lair and dividing the loot and deciding what to do with her minions?

I think that we'll also have to take care that the normal Illithid don't find out about them before we've got them settled one way or another. The brain eaters are very xenophobic, and I somehow don't see them taking kindly to a subspecies that doesn't conform to their standards.

Hey, can anyone please give me the caster level (and perhaps name, or type) of 3 of the Cleric Archons who were teaching in Mantarys? Or suggest a keyword to find them?

All I could remember was a massive argument about how realistic it would have been for them to teach multiple casters to use Stone Shape, but even after finding that update the teacher information wasn't in it.

Sheets are currently being updated. Things are happening. Ranger class preferences are being debated with my IRL gaming group, who think I'm an idiot with no grasp on the basic lore of the classes (of course Rangers are closer to Herbalist Alchemists than to Druids, right? Druids are full casters! [arguing intensifies])
At least it's fun to squabble :D

Point. @Goldfish, for now it might be worth it to keep them hidden safely in a demiplane until after the Deep Ones are annihilated.

The one I had access to was Naeron.

Naeron
Race: Codex Archon
Lawful Good
Class: Cleric 4
Template: Cleric Creature Template
Known Items: ???

I've lost track of where Yrael is at, though I think he was a cleric creature with like four levels of cleric or something.

You knowntheybcouldnstill be Nerve Swimmers. Technically the things borrow into their victims and feed. It never specifies full brain mulching.

How exactly do they get the memories? Do they feed on them from range or contact? Do they need to access the brain physically?

Because it is technically possible outside water they nest inside victims feeding on complex salts in the body and a living person's heat while feeding on their minds memories.

Gotta be clear on that.

Cleric creatures with Cleric levels?
What a pain. I presume they stack?

As if they don't already have plenty of reason to attack us. A swarm of minor psionic Aberrations isn't going to make them any more or less inclined to be our enemies.

Keeping them hidden on a Demiplane would be a huge pain in the ass, from creating it and refreshing it ever few weeks or rendering it permanent, then transporting "food", maintaining the proper temperature and water, etc.

If they can't survive in SD after we've paved the way for them, then I wash my hands of them.

Naeron has had plenty of time to gain more experience since we last saw his stats. Hopefully he's advanced further into his Cleric class by now.

He was the one who came with us to Lyceos in Valyria. Definitely one of the more active Archons. There's no question that he should have leveled by now.

@DragonParadox, could I please have some information about the 3 Archon teachers in Mantarys?
Ideally I'd like to know if they're good at teaching (12 ranks in Diplomacy or ranks in Profession(teacher)), their caster level, and if they're all Cleric Creatures or some other spellcasting class.

Naeron, at least, should have a minimum of Diplomacy 12. Base Codex Archon's have 8 ranks in Diplomacy, and he was a 4th level Cleric last time we saw him, so assuming he continued investing skill points sensibly, he should qualify by default.

You would probably be better off PM'ing the question to DP, though. He might miss it when he logs back in tomorrow.

Regarding Tolos, I'm not sure why @egoo thought Breath Taker ever tried to start a magic school there. He had a single apprentice, AFAIK, and we don't even include her in our spreadsheets because she got looted by Amrelath.
