They're so easily customizable, too. You just have to send them to the proper education facility, vocational instructor, or physical trainer, and before long you have a specialized muggle ready for action.
They are self-perpetuating machines of war and commerce, suitably adapted to the PoB thanks to these creator gods. Can't get much cheaper.
Y'all are kinda reminds me of Asmodeus' ilk.
... that red dragon ancestry is tenacious.
Seriously, though, when dealing with huge numbers of people, millions upon millions of them, they simply become a statistic. You can't get overly focused on the small stuff or the big picture starts to suffer, and the big picture involves existential horrors poised to wipe out all life, steal, eat, and/or torture mortal souls, etc. That doesn't stop us from trying to do right by them. There are tons of practices and laws in the Imperium placed solely to increase quality of living among the muggles who would otherwise be forced to live in a medieval feudal hellhole.
The empire we are striving to build is better than current day heaven. And if there is ever a heaven that's better than the Empire, it's because the Empire built it.

I'm kinda tired of the Disunited Atlantean Emirates for now... Can we get back to Planetos and mess with Not!China again?
Eh.
Sorry, but at least here we have some sort of theme.

Back on Planetos?
Oh boy, are we in for a lot of Minor Actions to rush through.

Like, seriously, a metric fuckton.
And that's even before Westeros needing deft guidance from the shadows.

@Crake, @Goldfish, @Artemis1992, @Duesal, at this point I'm utterly lost as to with whom we already talked, and with whom we haven't -
But I remain of the opinin that we should pursue grabbing more mages and/or placing more crafting orders if we can get away with that.

Could @someone give me an account of what other city-states we've yet to visit to grab more enchanters/crafters, and with whom are we to talk strategic matters?

Hey thread, what keywords should I be searching for to find the Yi-Ti interludes? Does anyone remember the name of that wife Tyene helped? Or maybe the name of the female scholar masquerading as a man?
They were great characters with distinct personalites, but names are hard.

I think there will be a lot of backdated Minor Action chapters, at least those not handled personally by Viserys.

As for additional purchases, there are of course items we could order, but I don't think we should. What we already commissioned was a pretty incredible expenditure and should keep a significant portion of the city's crafters busy until next month.

Have you got a general idea of what they'll be assigned to craft?
I'll add them to the sheets this evening. There will be plenty of stuff for them to do. Between the 6 Heralds, 8 Wyverns, 2 Moonchasers, 7 Steam cannon batteries, gear for 30 Griffon Knights and 5 Erinyes, 264 Beetle Bombs, 10 new MirrorVision mirrors, 20 Spontaneous Search stations, and a whole bunch of other stuff I cannot remember, most of our crafting capacity had already been allocated for this month.

Another influx of crafters, even if we can only expect to get maybe 10 days of work out of them this month, will give us more wiggle room.

So, I think we are in a good place trade-wise. For crafters and artisans, too. Do we want to try to further secure a military alliance with any particular power or let things simmer for a while and try again next month?

At the very least, I think we should do this one, though. If we've made a good impression, we should try to capitalize on it now.

At this point I think we should be good. I've got almost everything I want from the Plane of Water for now, though I'm not opposed to waiting for the dragon hunt as we finish up politics first.

Should we see if the Hampa wont take orders for Crafted stuff too? And if they have a supply of Pearl's as well?

They seem to have as much enchanting capacity as Vialesk. Or atleast almost looking at the recruiting numbers.

Need more votes, y'all. I think we're getting close to wrapping up our Plane of Water visit.

@Goldfish, this is a good point. Theoretically there's no reason we can't poke around to see if there are any high level crafters to be hired in the other cities. We have no reason to limit how many Rings of Mind Blank we commission.

True, but we're already past the halfway point of the month, after spending nearly two weeks IC in Vialisk and it's surrounding territory. We have better stuff to do than spend the rest of the month shopping.

I think it's more practical to consider the orders we placed being farmed out to all nearby allied crafters.

The Plane of Water was a fun shopping excursion. I really enjoyed it but I also kinda want to do some minor actions soon. Apparently we have a lot.
