Also, am I the only one getting Manaan flashbacks ala KotOR?

For real, there's something about "sea" or "tropical" arcs that are just enchanting. I always play upbeat 'bouncy' music while reading the latest updates, and things seem more relaxed too. In the Opaline Vault I always think "okay can't fuck anything up, we have to be taken seriously" and in that we're surprisingly successful somehow (or maybe not, we are a dragon 9th Circle sorcerer-king).

And in Armun Kelisk I always feel like we're trying to be on our best behavior mostly because we don't want to cause our friend there any trouble.

But here I'm just like yeah I'm a dragon, so what? Ooh, that looks so fun! I'll take two hundred of them!!

--[X] See what high level enchanters are available for commissions and decide what services to purchase from them
High level shylevel. Search for anybody with so much as a Scribe Scroll feat and make a commission for everything they can make in the next 6 months. Pay upfront with Monthly pickups. And a commission for any recommendations to enchanters looking for work in this city or any other.

The drought is over! Halleluyah!

[X] Duesal

So I've got no idea about the enchantment mechanic. How much can they actually make? Per month?

Fantastic. Soon each provincial governor will have one and each Legion will have several.
While I'm not adverse to assigning one to every column, they're really more warriors of circumstance and extensions of our will and writ of law by vocation. If we wanna make combat constructs enmasse we should consider flesh forging them, like we did the Seeker. Think if we made champions like that, plant spirits with incredible charisma and beauty/style who can inspire.

If we were assigning them in that manner, I would rather just do away with provincial governors and put Heralds in charge, perhaps with Human mouthpieces for a friendlier Imperial face. :drevil:

Think the idea is to have a secular Herald. You know something not from the Old Gods. We trust em sure but in the end they arent us. Because remember the Heralds are specked for Diplomacy not combat. They speak for us so better not to use spirits beholden to the Old Gods.

With the incoming crafters, we're going to manage at least six Heralds and six Wyverns this month. I also want to start working on another Moonchaser.

Out of curiosity if we put the new crafters to just making Cannon Batteries how many could we get?

A lot, but that would be a critical waste. Those can be made by low level enchanters. We'll be building several cannon batteries this month, though.

Although I haven't started on the new spreadsheet yet, we shouldn't have any trouble installing four or five batteries between SD, Braavos, and wherever else we please.

I'm not averse to Flesh Forged warrior Heralds, I just also wanted several normal Heralds assigned to each Legion for both warfare and strategy.

All of my yes.

They were always meant to be advisors and protectors of the local rulers, loyal first to the Imperium and Viserys, and then to whoever they were assigned to. It defeats the purpose if we outright make them governors.

I would like around four batteries in Braavos and Volantis, three in each of the Three Daughters and five batteries in Sorcerer's Deep. And probably after all that two batteries in Tolos and Mantarys and Gorgossos each.

I wonder how Darleth is going to arrange fifty steam cannons in Sorcerer's Deep's defense? He could quite possibly make it so any enemy has to literally wade through cannon fire just to approach the city.

If I had my way more than two in Gogoros. I want a fortress complete with inner and outer walls around the facility and a Battery on every side for each wall. A bit much but not taking chances with that one. Not till we craft a few CR 15 creatures to play guard for the one facility that can consistently make creatures of that level.

Plus 10 Cleric Treants and 20 Druit Lotus Leshy and their Plant Creature Direwolf mounts.

True but for the others basically think of them like Caligraphy Wyrms 2.0. Specced to diplomacy loyal to us and the Imperium first. Assign one to every major head and a couple to every Legion for diplomatic, oversight and field communication purposes.

They could be even better when the Imperial God gets going. Make em something like Guardian Idols but specked for diplo work Domain spells included.

A Caligraphy Wyrm is a token of Imperial Favour, a Herald is a reminder or Imperial Presence and Authority.

@Goldfish, what other major interplanar cities are there within our reach?

The City of Brass we're obviously restricted in our purchases for so we don't blow Maelor and Malarys' cover.

The Opaline Vault and Armun Kelisk, while allies, we're restricted by virtue of them both being on wartime economies and thus crafters being a precious resource.

But for cities not currently embroiled in a major war like Vialesk... that is a lot more available crafters to snatch up.

I know there's that one city in the Shadow Plane ruled by the Bloodstone Emperor, but for obvious reasons that doesn't seem like the best choice.

Axis should be available, though it's current state is in question given what we know about the Planes and the fate of the Inevitable Forge. It shouldn't be any more difficult to operate within than the Opaline Vault.

Dis is a major extraplanar trading city, too, but I don't think we should be casually visiting Hell any time soon.

If DP is using any of the Epic Level Handbook stuff from D&D, there is the City of Union. Extremely high level place, but never seemed to have much depth or flavor to me. Hopefully it just doesn't exist.

There is also Sigil, which is kinda a scary place. I'm not sure if it's worth the potential trouble to go there, assuming it exists within our current cosmology.

Those are the only ones that come to mind, though I'm sure there are at least a few more.
