Does that mean we can send a dozen people for each dragon in our service?
That should be enough for an embassy and an AC office both.

Yes, the reasoning is that if enough Brine Dragons band together that their embassies are considered a threat to the city, then the maridar have bigger trouble than the envoys. They do have to be true dragons young adult or older though to get an embassy, so Amrelath is eligible but not Ysandryx.

"Ysandrix is mighty! Foolish people of the endless waves, you will rue the day you insulted my dreadful majesty!"

"It's time for your nap, Ysandrix. I also have those fried bugs you like so much."

"Ah yes, this is most pleasing to me..."

Maybe after we clean up our current plate, I still planned on blindsiding the Efreeti with our raid and our ritual one after another.
The tentative plans I have in my head for our raid on the Living Brass Forge and the attack on the City of Brass are going to be...memorable. If the current regime remains intact and the Sultan isn't deposed soon after, we're gonna have to be on our toes for serious retaliation.

@DragonParadox, when we get back home can we get an update on the Plane of Fire from Siduri and Yrten? We don't have time for minor raiding of course, but they have been excellent as informants if anything truly big shows up. Like when they warned us about the Doomships which allowed us to warn the Djinn, or when they pointed us to the ship imprisoning Jazirian, or when they gave us intel on the Efreeti Prison.

Unless they roll something major again it will probably just be in the rumor post.

They are but I have not rolled it yet.

BTW do you guys mind if we no a non-Hardhome interlude next? I don't think I can do the climax justice this late.
Teana interlude? She's just gone through a nice bit of character development, so seeing how she's handling being back in SD and the Scholarium would be neat.

Kinda hard to depose a Quasi Deity.
Aside from the personal power he has a loyal priesthood and followers, at least some of the Archmages are propably loyal and from Maelor's mention he seems to be using a lot Dervishes for his police, so a mass of mid-level fanatics are a given.

Edit: I support Ysandrix. Let the Queen of Stormy Skies show her greatness to the world!

Is there a difference between Envoy and employees as far as the laws are concerned or is this just about not bringing in armies?

Basically, we send the allowed number of Envoys that are actual diplomats, and they bring clerks with them to facilitate Astral Currents business but are otherwise just foreign traders.

No, it's just a flat number of 'these are all the people you can send without dispensation'.

Anyway doing Ysandryx since she should be fun to write.

@Crake don't forget to mention where we want the embassy, I suggest the regular location and use Tritons as embassadors, that way they can also pursue their own goals on our behalf.

And of course

[] Ask where those plays are played and how one may gain the right to perform, ask if the nature of the bard (Xor) would be an inconvenience, if it isn't have Xor regale them with the tale of.... ???

I guess we will have to travel to the city of Brass at once and look for a suitable maiden to rescue.

This would be fantastic. I'm praying for this.
Or a pure Mindglass Prison with a Psychic Greater Phoenix trapped inside. I'm not too picky.

Bah! Why not just kill two birds with one stone and ask them for the teleportation coordinates of the nearest known Kraken Lair?

Free Kalamari invites many customers.

@Crake how about asking for the names of all factions that participated in the war against the Deep Ones? What passes for the Temple District in the City? Could plop a Consecrated Temple to the Merling King here. That should ease some worries.

If this city was one of the participants offer to buy any cursed loot on the promise we will dispose of it in rituals.

Part of my reason for not demanding an audience or immediate political representation is that I don't trust the people in power out of hand not to pursue their own goals to the active detriment to our own. Only by anchoring them to our success through mutual benefit can we really rely on them for anything very useful.

I was going to vote to pursue rumors and information on our own, from a variety of sources, since lots of people will want to do business with us.
