It's a good goal, but not one we'll be able to fulfill for another month or two, I believe.
The one emplacement by the entrance or the four with one on each side?

Also of we finish the Sonic Cannon research. What's the possibility of tweaking the Dreadnaught battlements to switch them in place of the 8 water geysers? We are gonna build the Dreadnaught in a couple months right?

The closest thing we have to portable steam cannons will be the Moonchaser vessels, which are armed with several of them.
That's fine. we will have more options when some of the Efreeti weapons research gets done. Legions gonna have some magic artillery eventually!

Anything larger than a Moonchaser is a long way off. We have too much other stuff to work on right now, considering even a Moonchaser costs nearly 105,000 IM in enchanting.

Don't forget to vote, y'all.

  • [X] Loot Distribution
-[X] Purchase the Dryad Sandals from Amrelath and give them to Alyssa Grafton
-[X] The Torcs of the Broken Brotherhood will potentially be reverse-engineered. Given the unique utility against the Efreeti, inquire if the Shaitan and Djinn would be interested in a research collaboration for this since we currently lack the time. Results of the research will of course be shared equally among all parties involved. If declined, they go back in the stockpile until they can be purified and put to use.
--[X] Once purified (or deemed safe after a bit of analysis), one Torc is to be reserved for the Seeker
-[X] See if Yrael and his Archons are able to purify the skull and make it safe for a bard to use. Afterwards we can see about reverse-engineering it.

Remember when we had a Tournament Arc?

I know, a bit random, but for fucking really, this quest is the best. I especially loved the jokes about Westeros not needing an excuse or rationale other than the fact that there was one to make them want to come.

Many people were there with absolutely zero plans of pledging to us, who's positioned flipped 180. People who take great risks by coming with no more than a threadbare "Mystery Knight" facade as disguise for the matter. They came for riches, for Valyrian Steel, for glory, but didn't come to further their own ambitions. And all the former is mostly just a bonus, never the main reason.

They came because we threw the biggest tournament in centuries, with the most extravagant prizes and the most bizarre and incredibly rare sights and displays, capstoned with one feat of legend.

And Westeros fucking loves a Tourney more than they love being alive.

Instead of conquering Westeros, if we threw a tournament every other month just a little bigger than the last, we might run the serious risk of being declared King via a accompli of hosting a court of the majority of Westeros' Lords, who don't want to leave because who would leave a Tournament in Westeros!!

Should he have said Sorority of Strife? :V

Edit:

Also, another thing the Grand Festival of Sorcerer's Deep made dawn upon me.

Viserys was exiled from Westeros and deprived of a massive capital city.

So he went to Essos, and made his own capital city, with blackjack and hookers.

Eh?

@Crake not understanding Westerosi as well as he thinks.

Silly modern man, Glory = Ambition.

True, but glory is more "if I'm a mean macho man who wins at pokey horse chicken, I might be able to marry well/get a position with some Lord/people will sing songs about me". These are all so... pedestrian in comparison to rewriting reality.

As funny as this is I'm even more amused by the fact he didn't quite go to Essos.

He's as next door as you can be.

He essentially got fired as McDonald's Manager and set up a gourmet street food truck on their median strip because "technically you don't own it, but our customers are still going to use your bathroom lol".

Ahahahaha!

Bravo, sir.

Glory is Glory for Glory's sake and songs and stories are their way of rewriting reality.

If you do well enough by the end of your life you end up being born in the caldera of a volcano, raised by Wolves and surviving off of alcoholic lizard lion blood despite originally being an orphan with a penchant for horse thievery.

Lord Celtigar was likely a lady-killer in his day, eh?

Also, I've only now realized that I let one of my players deal acid damage to a black dragon on the latest session (sunday -> monday, through the night). And they had only just managed to snipe it with a long range spell before it fled, too...

Like, he was 600 ft away and the Wu Jen, the last to act before the dragon got the fuck out of dodge (with a very important NPC on his back, too) landed a Snake Darts. The dragon needed a 7+ to save, and failed one of them. Player rolled 6 constitution damage, dealing 48 damage to the YA Black, and the actual damage the spell also causes was exactly enough to kill it dead (like, it died at -38, and the spell brought it to precisely -38).

Don't DM at five AM kiddos, not without a lot of energy drinks/coffee.

Still, made for a very cool scene, and a tough fight.

They only remembered to ward against acid when they were already mid-fight, even when they found out it was a black dragon the way ahead of the fight, and head a spontaneous caster with Resist Energy on team...

Still, the only reason it wasn't a wipe was the two Resist Energies he got off between them fighting minions and the dragon showing up. Machinesmith was on a horse's back a negative HP (but desperately trying to get a wingbind scroll off as he is a Warforged and was still functional), barbarian/fighter went down to a single Bloodwind after eating the entire maximized clinging breath, Wu Jen (a spontaenous variant I cooked up) had like twenty-something, and the mystic ranger was mostly fine (but would have gone down pretty quick from combined attention of Dragon and Rider).

Plot twist, players realise later that Acid damage shouldn't have effected a Black Dragon.

The Black Dragon wasn't a Black Dragon.

Who the fuck is making fake Black Dragons?!?

Why do you think Snake Darts does Acid damage?

I can't see that descriptor anywhere in the spell?

Edit: 3d6 typeless on impact, the rest ability damage.

A fine idea, but I legit forgot about the ranger's bow having an acid enchant (that I put there myself).

At this point, I'm going to fluff it as the dragon letting them kill him, as he was the Tiamat-corrupted father figure to one of the PCs, the very Wu Jen which killed him in fact.

I'm refluffing Red Hand as there being a sort of hidden temple where a couple of dragons take up positions as master and grandmaster (and switch every hundred years or so, keeping the personas intact) and they made up an entire religion as to avoid even saying Tia-chan's name, and hiding maintenance rituals to one of the seals keeping her in check inside said made-up religion's rites, and occasionally snatch random people up and put them in the middle of the little society that's by now isolated for hundreds of years.

Speaking of dragons, did we ever distribute the loot from the Efreeti expedition raid especially to the two dragon vassals?
