On a related note, we should have our friendly neighborhood coatl god involved with this somehow. He gets strength passively from good deeds done in his name, and possibly by those affiliated with him( given the amount of favor we have despite not acting in his name).

Even something as simple as having his symbol serve as a stand in for a Red Cross should be a big old shot of divine steroids we barely have to do anything to get. Even better if we add a prayer/benediction as a part of the inscription.

Letting knowledge of his existence and personal impact on people come through their exposure to charity and economic development would probably help get him proper worshippers as well.

A bit of a long term thing, but it'll probably be worth it. Just imagine Zathir getting juiced up on the glorious imperial social safety net and punching out a full blooded Other.

Other nothing, he's ambitious enough about juicing up on Inspiration Juice that he's hoping to be able to counteract Winter weather encroachment.

I had an idea about our God Network equivalent. Canceling out the Long Night's effects wherever it runs would be amazing. Imagine even a small tithe from each God splitting off from individual prayers to every God linked to our Pantheon. This gets added directly into a pool used to power our Coatl's weather manipulation, seeing as how everyone benefits from Winter's Bite not killing their devout followers.

Now that is clever as hell. We should work towards that.

It's either that, or massive climate controlled arcologies and hydroponics factories. Bit impractical with our current industrial power and experts.

And TBH I expect even defeating Winter, ambitious enough by itself, won't put an end to the erratic, years long winters, so I do prefer me a long-term solution.

Upon further thought, even though the Ash Bloods appear to be a very low level street gang in the City of Brass...they're still a street gang in the City of Brass, one which has survived for a significant amount of time.

They're probably all at least mid-level PCs. Think about the opposition they would have to deal with just to survive, let alone prosper to any extent. Level 9 or 10 would be my guess, with maybe one or two at 11 or 12. In most places on Planetos, they would be a serious threat to all but the most dangerous of beings.

I doubt we'll be able to effectively suborn many such groups, but we definitely shouldn't write them off as disposable. We could potentially recruit quite a few assets following our raid on the City of Brass. The survivors will probably want to be anywhere but the Plane of Fire for the foreseeable future.

Thread:

Dozens would be optimistic, but we'll be uniquely situated to make a very good offer.

"Come with us if you want to live!"

The Sultan is going to be epically pissed off if we successfully bust the Living Brass Forge. That's an outright crippling blow to the Efreeti economy, war effort, personal prestige and aura of power enjoyed by the Sultan, etc. On top of that, I'm planning for what essentially boils down to unleashing unbridled destruction on the City of Brass. Completely random slaughter using explosives and liquid ice bombs, @Deliste's Sultan's Tribute bombs used by the hundreds, etc., along with more targeted attacks on every government office, barracks complex, guardhouse, and Efreeti gathering place we can access. It's going to be beautiful... 😢

The crackdown that will follow that, once the chaos abates and order is restored, is going to make it extremely unhealthy to be even the slightest bit shady in the City of Brass. We should be able to encourage quite a bit of immigration if we're so inclined, though we'll have to be very careful of infiltrators. The House of Mirrors will be working triple time.

They might also really despise us over blowing up their town. I mean, if we target the right sort of malcontent it should all work out, but it's worth keeping in mind. Plus you know these gangs are going to leak a lot, so we'll have to inform them only after everything has happened, and therefore move at ludicrous speed to get everyone out before the crackdown.

This is going to be an operation all on it's own, on top of the main operation. To be clear, I love it, but we'll need some serious people on it, aside from the ones we'll be taking on the attack.

Well, we'll certainly be carefully vetting them. They're PCs, they're worth the effort.

For sure. I don't expect to arrange this stuff with them ahead of time, but if we establish halfway friendly contact with those who are amenable, when the time comes an offer for refuge from the inevitable backlash might be too tempting to pass up.

I've been looking forward to this operation for ages. I bet the Shaitan and the Djinn will be ready to bust out their Mythic PCs to help here.

I want a Kaiju one day.

I really, really doubt that that would work. I am like 100% certain that the OG would have loved to do that, that many gods would have loved to stop the previous Long Night, and than the Others already have a huge natural and symbolical leg up in that fight.

Basically I think it's effectively impossible, and not cost-effective at all.

Furthermore, from an OOC perspective it sort of sucks the fun and awe out of the Long Night.

It's either that, or massive climate controlled arcologies and hydroponics factories. Bit impractical with our current industrial power and experts.
10/10, sounds cool. We need to build underground housing and rely on food stores + magical lights.

Doesn't sound too difficult now does it ?

We'll have to choose our targets well. Slaughtering slaves and relatively irrelevant civilians instead of focusing on military and magical production (or similar) would be Stupid Evil.

In the Divided Loyalties, DP is displaying a shocking amount of this strange thing called "ethics". He's even bringing up advanced concepts like "victim-blaming" and "raising children as human weapons for people who hate them is bad" !

Meanwhile in this thread he's running a quest where we commit mass human sacrifice and plan genocide. On weekends we groom teen girls into frontline fighters who will go to FreezyMcDeath land, get hacked to bits by Wight axes, and then go back for more!

:lol::rofl::lol::rofl:

To be fair Viserys likes and appreciates all his living weapons. ;)

But seriously I would not say Viserys can would ever make the mistakes of the Empire of Sigmar in treating mages if he found himself in that setting, since it is both unethical and stupid.

  • [X] It is time to secure our hold on the Crownlands by enticing what remains of Jon Arryn's former faction and welding them to our own.
-[X] Bring Rhaella, Rina and Ser Richard.
-[X] We will begin with House Chyttering as the easiest, given their inclinations toward gaining Eastern contacts.
-[X] Next we will try for House Mallery as a relative unknown.
-[X] Then the shamed House Blount, still isolated given their recent missteps and loss of patron.
-[X] Then we will investigate House Farring to see what can be made of the situation.
-[X] If there is time, we will investigate the High Septon's faction and see if we can pull away Rambton and Sunglass. Ser Denys used to squire for a knight of the latter, perhaps he could put us into contact?
--[X] We will also observe the results of our propaganda campaign firsthand.

Are you saying that you intend for Balerion to ride a 100ft tall monster regardless of the fact that he's a Dragon?

... kinda defeat the purpose that he's (Balerion) supposed to be ridden, doesn't it?
Not at all.

Balerion rides the Kaiju, we ride Balerion in our Red Dragon form, Dany rides us in her Mercury Dragon form, and Varys rides her.

It will be the ultimate arrangement. :V

"And as the Great Enemy gaze upward, they behold the Five-Fold Dragons and death followed them. The Midnight Serpent, the Silvered Seeress, the Blood-Dragon Emperor, the Black Dread, and the Baleful One. All festooned in great magic and possess mythical strength.

The Midnight Serpent strikes unseen, deathly silent. Slithering through their ranks and spilling blood for her Master.

The Slivered Seeress calls upon Divine knowledge and power as she fell down ancient and ghastly warriors and took their body for her next construct.

The Blood-Dragon Rides upon the Black Dread, casting terrible magic with his Godswood Staff to wilt the Winter's touch and bring down his Ancestral Sword to cleave through hundreds of enemies as his steed, terror incarnate simply burn and smashes the Great Enemy's Host. Bringing down ruin to their malefic existence.

Whilst soaring above, bigger, taller, and mightier still than the Black Dread himself, the Baleful One twist one of his wing slightly to the Great Enemy's direction. His eyes, full of hatred and wrath looked as half of the enemy's number vanished as with the land and sky that before held them aloft. And with a Spell-Ensorcelled Punch, decimates them entirely.

For he is a Child of Bahamut. His Crown Resplendent, his Will Unconquered, and his Fury Infinite. The Dragon God will stand triumphant!"

I'm looking for the effects of that three-headed dragonstone statue we gave the watch. Anyone know what I should be searching to find it?

Yeah, I guess I didn't really specify, and probably make it sound like everything in the City is fair game. I should have said that we'd be hitting Efreeti sections of the city, along with critical infrastructure. There's little point in hitting slave quarters or the homes and businesses of non-Efreeti.

There's point in hitting slave quarters, it's not worth compromising our morals for though.

The point would be that slaves cost money, so killing the Efreeti's slaves would be a loss, it's just not nearly worth the moral cost.
