Ah, okay then. I still say the Oblivion should be a centerpiece, since it has 7 Intelligence. It just would have been nice to throw all that free DC at it. I forget, have we figured out a way to sacrifice items with creatures, or is that entirely impossible?
Impossible I am afraid. Those rituals are separate and for good reason.

Riz'Neth is already a sworn vassal. With him confirmed as heir to the city, we just officially got the entire thing as official territory of the Imperium.

Yosh. All hail the snake species who belong to us now.

I would much prefer to feed it to Yss as a snakey-snack. The OG don't actually destroy things so much as slurp up their life force. I want the Oblivion destroyed utterly, which Yss' gullet is great for, and I don't want a shot of super concentrated Void power to hit the OG hivemind.

It's probably best to toss this thing to Yss. CR 20 is one the strongest sacrifices we've captured, second only to the Mythic Ancient Wight Lord way back north in the Valley of Thenn (that was CR 21).

CR doesn't do a thing for the Old Gods, all they care about is HD.

More to the point I want this thing gone forever, which Yss will take care of.

The bigger question is what we want in exchange. @Goldfish, perhaps upgrading the Belt of Yss for Vee a bit more? DP said there was plenty of room for that.

Use the sacrifice to pierce the scrying protections of the Uniila? Do we have another foe like that?

Hmm, I'm sure someone will figure otu a better answer then. Maybe we can save it for when we eventually grow a tree in Heaven. It would be thematic at least.

That's why I suggested it only if it could be done safely. And while Yss could probably make good use of it, IIRC, the Void is who's behind the Others. The OG's kinda deserve to bitch slap them in the face again.

I suppose. It was just a suggestion.

Like I proposed a few pages ago, with Oblivion pointedly defying DIvine magics, we might just get one of the most powerful contributions to Tiamat!Snare-talisman possible from Yss with it.
No sacrifice better than this - and Yss is getting (or has gotten) his Trade Domain this month, too.

Okay so I had a thought. This thing is an interesting ooze. It has an Int of 8. So I was thinking, well we can't breed the Oblivion because that would be insane but this thing could be sacrifice fuel. Since, according to DP oozes produce by consumption we could keep having this thing do its thing consuming crap until it divides. Once the division reaches to the population reaching a high enough point we start taking some and sacrificing them to the trees to grow them.

So thoughts?

We already got Yss contribution, and it's not strong enough to get god venom.

We could ask him to repair/power the facilities.

Breeding intelligent creatures to be sacrifice fodder is morally abhorrent?

Edit: it is also unlikely to get past our companions. Or most of the thread.

What about trying to Resurrect one or more of the Serpent Folk involved in building Set'Var? Maybe the mage Richard ganked in the wall, or General McSnakeFace?

There aren't enough Serpentfolk to inhabit the city even if it were fully functional.

Now this I would love to do if at all possible. We'll need to gather up the bones and ask Yss if he can pull it off.

Can Yss store/save power from sacrifices? For example if we were to feed him the CR 20 monster and ask him to save our boon till after we have enough to get the poison. Would that be possible?

I suppose we can never have too many badass servants, but it feels almost wasteful for something like that. Maybe I'm just too obsessed with grand acts.

I'm not sure it'll work like that, but you should ask DP.

Getting Serpentfolk Champions of this power would be massively helpful to pretty much all our efforts in Sothoryos.

Oh, I'm with ya on the Grand Acts of Awesomeness.

Think about it, though; if we could return the mage to life, he's one of those who built Set'Var. If there is any being able to supervise the necessary repairs to bring the place back to full functionality, it would be him. Restoring the cradle of an entire civilization is pretty grand, IMO. The place was super advanced, too. We could learn a ton of stuff from it.

He's also a seriously powerful spellcaster, 17th level at a minimum, or 18th if he's a spontaneous caster of some sort.

Agreed. Even the mere chance of bringing them back deserves to be pursued. Considering that the Oblivion was the one to kill them in the first place, it's our best shot at bringing them back.
I will ask him tomorrow morning. I hope it is possible because of the implications that would have.
It would be very convenient, that's for sure.
