I'm fine with continuing with things as they are, but if I'm the only one doing it, it will take multiple weekends to manage it, and I only get two off every month.

Seeing as we surprisingly enough manage to advance at 1:1 pace for the most part, barring really long actions, you can see how that's not so viable.

Though tracking statistics is pretty important from a world building perspective--keep in mind not only we benefit from world building, but also DP so that he has more to frame his story around.

I can probably help with that. Though I will probably need a crash course on how everything works.

Pretty much why I'm torn on this.
Was torn.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeh.

I'm pretty sure all active and semi-active posters would agree that it's nice to see these detailed plans, and our institutions growng, even if we don't understand any of the numbers.
And it does help to flesh the world out for those who do... and for DP to structure the story.

But even if Goldfish does get through the rules and manages to comprehend them, that'd be only 2 people on the task.
With our Empire yet growing steadily.

Eh.
I'm not going to have a stake in this anymore - I feel like any outcome would disappoint me from one perspective or the other.

G'night all.

I'll definitely be able to help more with the strategic level turn planning next time, rather than mostly focusing on the people management side like last time.

  • [X] Try to study it further
-[X] Viserys will use his personal Interplanar Whispering Brazier to contact Svitran in Sorcerer's Deep. Ask him to learn what he can of the Ooze Chamber from Yss, specifically anything related to the artifact occupying the central platform. What is its purpose? Is it still functioning? If so, is it working properly or has it malfunctioned? How can we safely interact with it, if it is possible at all.

Let's see if we can get even more minions out of this.

One last call for votes, y'all, even if the tally is being uncooperative again.

Yeah, relax, that's not happening.

At the least, Harrenhal will act as a staging ground for our invasion forces. Since reconstructing it would be as trivial to us to do as it was arduous and painstaking for Harren, there is no reason not to do so in order to extra rub it in his face that while he was grinding away in the Outer Dark trying to become a demigod, we just power-leveled straight there and are going to suckerpunch him in the face and take his lunch money just like our ancestor Aegon did.

And this guy ain't even an Elder Evil, and we've already done exactly that to one by this point, and he's so far beneath our consideration we didn't even go there to take care of him personally, we sent our Fire Nanny to watch our Baby PCs become less Baby, using him and his "kingdom" as proverbial target practice.

That's really my only stake at this point... Lady Whent can live out her retirement in style. I doubt she's given much thought to heirs, and seeing as how we're shattering the Riverlands as a coherent political entity, no one's going to be able to complain about the eyesore being re-purposed to garrison a quarter of the giant army we're leaving behind to keep the locals in line.

But wouldn't we need that garrison most after the conquest?
Not 20 years later?

She can have a nice, appropriatly-sized castle for her evening days, just not the big one in the middle of it all.

Hell, given Harrenhall's size she could have a tower of it, having more keep than most minor lords and still not get in our way.

Who says we wouldn't be using it to garrison the military in the interim? This isn't 18th Century. Nobles don't complain about castles being used to garrison their liege's army--nobles hardly complain about anything beyond what's explicitly a traditional right, and hosting your overlord or his followers is explicitly a traditional right of a sovereign lord. The very fact that we're doing it out of pocket might be the sticking point, not that we're turning part of the castle--parts she couldn't even use because they were in disrepair or haunted--into a command post and billeting.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the state of being a dragon and not having a valid argument against that fact.

Y'all are talking about Raiders of the Lost Ark, and all I'm thinking about is what we're gonna feed our l'il pal Oozpin... :lol
