Do ya'll have any issues with giving Brienne a pretty nice starter gear package? This is 2,080 IM in crafting, not counting items we already have in stock or can have our Mage-Smiths produce without using more valuable crafter time.

She already has an Amulet or Ring of Protection from Evil. She can give that one to someone else, such as her father.

Muleback Cords (Slotless)
Gloves of Zephyr's Grace (+2 Dexterity)
Healing Belt w/+2 Constitution
Anklets of Translocation w/+30ft Enhancement bonus to speed
Earring of Arcane Acuity
Amulet of Tears
Ring of Protection from Evil
Handy Haversack
+1 Reinforced Segmented Glammered Adamantine Fullplate
+1 Razorsharp Adamantine Longsword

@DragonParadox, so, we have 5 books written up that give one definitive bonuses at identifying supernatural threats.
Canticle of Decay

By:
Rohar of Tyrosh

Description: Canticle of Decay written in a trembling hand as he who set it down struggled against the chains of sorcery binding his mind, this tome speaks of the works of the Horsemen as only one mad enough to offer them his soul can. As a lover's touch are the foulest festering wounds described, and death as sweet release. Yet from among the twisted ramblings some insight may be gained not only in battling the foul scourges of Abaddon but on how best to shed light on hidden cabals.

Content: +3 on knowledge rolls regarding Daemons; +2 to gather information if one studies the book for one day before making a Gather Information or Diplomacy roll for the purposes of locating a cult [the bonus is permanent once read for those with perfect recall].
Journals of the Betrayed

By:
Rina Cox

Description: Written in the elegant hand of a calligraphy wyrm, this set of journals nonetheless seems outright drab at first sight, plain brown covers marked by nothing but a number indicating where they should lie among the library of Dragon's Roost. One could not guess to look at them that within these pages lies a history of war madness and treachery written by one most dreadfully betrayed, now turning her own hand against the enemies of life.

Content: +5 to all knowledge rolls relating to the Others, their magic, and their interactions with mortals. A reader who studies all the volumes for one week and makes a DC 12 Intelligence or Wisdom check at the end gains a permanent +5 to Knowledge, Spot and Sense Motive rolls to detect and identify creatures affected by Winter's power.
In Memory of Death

By: Wyla Drekelis

Description: Written as a journal of sorts of the transition between unlife and true life, filled with elements of philosophical contemplation, this treatise could be of great help to the budding necromancer and hunter of the unliving in equal measure, but the greatest use is perhaps to be found for one who is both.

Content: After two weeks of study a reader who succeeds on a DC 20 Knowledge (Religion) check gains +3 Competence bonus to Knowledge, Spot, and Sense Motive checks to identify Vampires or beings affected by their power. One who succeeds on a DC 20 Gather Information check gains +3 on all future Gather Information checks to learn something about the activities of a Vampire. A reader that succeeds on a DC 20 Intelligence or Wisdom (reader's choice) check does not automatically shift alignments to Evil upon becoming a sentient undead (conditions that would strip all rationality such a becoming an allip negate this insight).
Reign of Madness

Description: Bold and perhaps foolish is he who writes of matters of the Far Realm, for even to guess the reasoning and acts of beings so alien might drive men... and even beings older and wiser, to stark madness. But in every battle the mantra stands: know thy foe. Thus this book bound in tarnished silver lays before you, an incomplete but tantalizing record of incursions of the malicious things you know as the Deep Ones.

Content: History of the Deep Ones Unlocked for research; +2 to rolls relating to the subject.
The Bitter Cup

By: Wyla Drekelis

Description: Wrapped in the rust-red scales of some strange beast of the Southlands, this book holds within many insights on physical and mental characteristics of the living dead. While one could not become a necromancer by studying this book, it would certainly improve one's chances of encountering the greater dead, be it peacefully or otherwise, and living to tell the tale. Scribbled among its last pages one can even find the formula for a mild poison that can harm the unliving.

Content:
  1. A person reading this book over a period of one week gains +2 competence bonus to Diplomacy, Bluff and Sense Motive rolls regarding Undead. Any reader can make untrained knowledge rolls relating to the Undead up to a DC of 15 (rather than the usual 10).
  2. Simple necro-poison formula (1d2 Charisma damage primary and secondary damage, two consecutive DC 13 Will negates).

But we had a lot of expsoure to Devils and Fey - can it be assumed that we have something giving same bonuses as Canticle of Decay for them?
And something like general guidelines for Rakshasa, Demons, and Efreeti, I suppose.

We also have this, @Goldfish.
May be worth sharing with Lords, and various PCs too, now.
Bestiary of the Bizarre

By:
Vee

Description: This plain leather bound tome holds within its pages of descriptions and drawings of many fantastical beasts, some from beyond the boundaries of the world, accompanies by practical embellished notes about their nature and habits, likes and dislikes, for both the aspiring tamer and hunter.

Content: A reader with at least 8 skill ranks in Knowledge (Nature) may study this book for a week to gain a permanent +2 competence bonus in Handle Animal checks regarding magical beasts and a +2 on Knowledge (Nature) to identify magical beasts.

So, the 6 books above for sure, and whatever DP rules us to have.

Chibi knight Brinner will probably look adorable, with her tiny Small Shortsword and Shield.
Nah, the Short Sword will be of regular size, so it'll look more like a Longsword in her hands, but it's still technically a Short Sword, and thus a light weapon, so usable with Weapon Finesse.

But yes, she will be an adorable monster murderer.

Added all of these to the list of stuff we'll be giving her, along with notes on Demons, Devils, Fey, etc.

Alchemical Supplies:
x30 Antiplague
x10 Antitoxin
x5 Auran Mask
x100 Healing Salve
x10 Smoke Sticks
x10 Sunrods
x10 Vermin Repellent
x10 Alchemist's Fire
x10 Fungal Stun Vials
x10 Liquid Ice
x20 Sleep-Smoke
x10 Tanglefoot Bag
x10 Thunderstone
This crate of stuff seems like it'd be best delivered to her father.

Brinner is not tha Lady of Tarth quite yet.

Magical weapon should resize to fit the owner.

And she isn't a tiny little girl, actually: wiki says she is 14.

Hey, the image of the tiny armored girl was comical, but definitely a tad too much. 14 is much better.

She isn't the Lady of the house, but she is the mystical warrior Chosen by her god. Let's not do things halfway.

Because I can't stop myself from overdoing things, I present this:

Brienne of House Tarth will be gifted a large (75 lbs. empty, 6 cu ft of storage space), Masterwork treasure chest, crafted from cedar and banded in Mithral, all magically Hardened, and emblazoned with the Tarth family crest. It will be secured with a Superior quality lock (DC 40 to open using Disable Device). It will contain;

Equipment:
Muleback Cords (Slotless)
Gloves of Zephyr's Grace (+2 Dexterity)
Healing Belt w/+2 Constitution
Anklets of Translocation w/+30ft Enhancement bonus to speed
Earring of Arcane Acuity (+1 Charisma)
Greater Ribbon of Disguise
Amulet of Tears
Ring of Protection from Evil
Ring of Sustenance
Handy Haversack
+1 Reinforced Segmented Glammered Adamantine Fullplate
+1 Razor Sharp Adamantine Shortsword
+1 Razor Sharp Cold Iron Shortsword
+1 Razor Sharp Mithral Shortsword
+1 Heavy Mithral Shield

Single-Use Charms:
x1 Sending Stone
x1 Plane Shift

Bestiary of the Bizarre
and notes on Devils, Fey, Demons, and other assorted beasties.

@Goldfish, I'm a bit concerned on where the enchanting time is being taken from. What was pushed aside to allow for this?
Nowhere. We have a good amount of low level crafting capacity left right now. It's the higher level crafters who are pretty solidly booked up right now.

EDIT: Even with this stuff crafted for Brienne, we have 15,000-ish IM of low level crafting available that hasn't yet been assigned.

Excellent. In that case can we make sure to get Rings of Sustenance for the Dinosaurs and all the Valyrian Dragons? Especially Balerion.

Maybe we should talk to people first, and then see about delivering presents? Like, do we even know where we stand with Brienne?

Because there's a serious chance the rest of what's supposed to be her side finally got their heads out of their asses and went to find her, I believe. And if they haven't we still don't have much of a clue what she intends. Way I figure it we might her to see our side out of simple logic, since Westeros has to have a temporal ruler, and candidates are thin on the ground, but she's a kid who's also a Paladin so betting on that is a bad idea.

Though I must say that if we get to the present delivery stage, these are some excellent presents.

@One Autumn Leaf's current plan is centered on fact finding on the island of Tarth. We haven't gotten to the gift giving stage yet, since we haven't even met back up with Brienne yet.

We do know via Divinations, however, that she doesn't seem to be working with the other Chosen and still holds us in high regards.

One is already penciled in for Balerion, though @DragonParadox hasn't given us a cost for a Valyrian Dragon version or a Dinosaur version.

I'm tentatively using 2,500 IM as a placeholder.

Night guys, see you tomorrow as we finish off here and then either head off to magical Australia, talk to Bloodraven and perform blood sacrifice, or meet with Gith about organizing an interplanar war.
Magical Australia, where everything wants to eat you, kill you, use your still living body to incubate its young, or worse...

I just mentioned it because the list of presents got huge but no one was talking how we'd get her to take them. As for the divination, while it doesn't mention any of the other Chosen working with her it does not preclude communication via raven or other means, and I don't think it mentions what she thinks of us?

If she doesn't want the stuff, we're only really out a fancy chest, which can be repurposed. All the gear is basic stuff that can go to someone else.

I don't think she'll turn it down, though. We know she's been out fighting monsters and cultists. She's all but guaranteed to be practical enough to realize she needs whatever help she can get.

EDIT: Here's the part of the update where we're mentioned.
Lastly you learn that she had been keeping you and Dany in her prayers, but otherwise paid little mind to news from the east, the contentions of kings and princes far from her thoughts.

See, my worry is that it might just be too much. If it was one thing I'm sure she'd take it but all the swords and other magical gear look a bit like blatant bribery.

I would feel bad if the chosen tried to make her hate/fight us. I mean let's be honest here she is about as much threat as a cocker spaniel but we wouldn't want to fight her. I honestly feel bad for her god because clearly he is done with fighting us or even thinking about fighting us.

I won't lie, that sounds like an absolutely awesome start to your Real Adventuring career.

Imagine you are playing Brienne Quest, you have just finished experimenting a bit of everything: devil slaying, having your morals tested, being on the backfoot while hunted, and finally unearthing corruption in your own home, but Saphire Island is finally clear.

You go to sleep, satisfied, and the next morning that sits by your bed, with the sunlight falling through the window and illuminating it. When you open it, a note with a three-headed dragon in the back and a suitably trollish but encouraging script falls from it. Inside, what looks like enough supplies for your own personal crusade.

End of Arc 1

This makes me unreasonably angry.
@DragonParadox is already giving us library bonuses to research - and now you want extra ones from individual books for individual creatures?
Even worse, you are saying "we have had extensive contact with..." - and you are thereby removing the only fig leaf of a "justification" you had, which was the idea that the effort put into getting those books deserved a reward.

I mean we could always just get one of the Devils or Fae we have in our employ to write a book for it. The Erinyes aren't prone to doing something like that themselves, but having them tell stories of the Blood War to a calligraphy wyrm could work out, and the same goes for Fae, whose lives are stories.
