It's a bit more complex than that. While the family at large are loyalists - his eldest son attended the SD Tourney personally - and Maidenpool practically serves as the main base of manpower and funding for the Lads, the reason we wanted to specifically handle Lord William is because the man's infamously a craven. Getting his read and applying our legendary diplomancy would have benefits beyond just securing another bunch of loyalists.

Hmm... point I'll do it in more detail then.

We're not anymore. A bunch of devils are fair game now. Legion Devils for example we could get a bunch of. We have more than a dozen sitting in the Larder.
Tbh, I'm somewhat uncomfortable getting those Devils we summon specifically to hurt Mammon's operations re-sworn to us.

Let's at least wait until we have a dedicated method to break off any Devil from him, before going further with recruitment from that particular source?

Falxugon is an exception because, well, we have seen him act sensibly IC, (and have some info OOC, hurr hurr).

I'd rather that extra layer of security for any other Fiend. Just in case.
:/

  • [X] Gather the Erinyes who participated in the raid, along with the others currently in Sorcerer's Deep, along with any of our Companions who wish to attend, and restore to life the first Fury to fall in our service.
-[X] Although they have sworn themselves to our service and foresworn their age-old fealty to Hell, in the process severing the link to the Lower Planes which assured their eventual rebirths if slain in battle, make it clear that we will not allow them to succumb to non-existence unless that is their wish.

We're kind of committed to getting a Legion Devil severance ritual anyway, since we freed a bunch from Heaven's slave market. The ritual would apply to both them and to the Legion Devils formerly working for Mammon.

@Duesal please tell Egoo we need to recruit from mammon because he's the one who blew open the hole in the pact primeval for us.

Also because everyone thinks he's a laughing stock.

Which he is.

And by god! We will have imps or my name is not Zx!

Edit: @Goldfish that promise will be very difficult to keep without a divine realm to attach them to, and soon. I am... It's almost unbelievable.

On a side note my god the Black Dread is fantastic in battle.

@Goldfish, what gear are we allowed to give him again? I hope at the very least we're able to give him a specialized Ring of Sustenance?

Eggo's problem was due to a lack of security pertaining to the fiends that aren't Eryinies as they are still bound to him. He simply wants a ritual of severance before recruitment is done. A simple measure of safety

Well, yeah, but it's likely not going to happen next month...

And we have 700 HD-costly ritual waiting just there, too.

Barghests we can fit in schedule because they are cheap (on Progress) and exist very much on the outskirts of Hell's hierarchy - Legion Devisl will require as much as 14 Progress.

I'd rather just keep summoning and sacrificing enemies until we can sever the Hell-connection of whoever we try to recruit.

The ones we bought on Hellven...
Well, they have some security built-in by being sold off like they had been.
Not perfect, but good enough for me to not be as paranoid as I'm about Mammon's Devils.

Lots of stuff. The first round of his gear is on the 10th month crafting schedule now, spread across multiple crafters.

Still haven't heard from DP on Ring of Sustenance cost for him, but right now I have 2500 IM plugged in for the cost, which is ten times more than normal.

Sure?

Azel said back then that the Legion Devil slaves we bought would be just as cheap as the Barghests, since they are not really part of the hierarchy anymore.
The Falxugon was the one who took the most progress.
Huh?
I might be mixing stuff up, then, lemmie check stuff...

Ah.
That's about the bought ones, still.
The ones bound to Mammon will require more than the ones Hell basically gave up on.
I'd rather do a blanket research, than go for ones we bought first, and then the regular kind.

IF it's possible - because I'm not fully familiar with this golem (the epic handbook one starts with bull and ends with shit).
It is, in fact, possible - pretty easy too. It would also not have us spend a bunch on difficult research actions to (potentially) craft a control rod anew - am suspecting to poor @egoo 's relief. It is already pretty powerful. Add the benefits of a sentient mind...

Just do not use such for eternal sentry duty or such sundry. Issue with sentient minds, they get bored.

Let's get a clear answer. @DragonParadox progress on severing connection to Hell for Legion Devils? Both bound to Hell's structure and otherwise?

You flat out cannot sever those who are sworn to another arch-devil, that is why Mammon's Folly is so notable, it creates a breech in an otherwise ironclad contract.

For other devils you have to either buy them convince the arch-devil to release them or take advantage of Mammon's folly. For those legion devils the progress is 14.
