And just like that, we enter Grimderp.
The Multiverse is fucked, Others ate it.

:V
For real though, I can't even bring myself to care anymore.
We aren't winning this, so whatever.
We'll carve out our empire and make sure it lives on, and fuck everyone else.
We'll win this. We're not going to huddle in a corner and hope for survival, we're going to seize victory over their corpses.

Step One: Dismantle the Deep Ones empire utterly.

And just like that, we enter Grimderp.

It's not grimderp. I hate those sorts of settings. You guys can win this, hell you have a plan to craft an imperial god stronger than any ordinary religious god could ever hope to be, you are working to overthrow the Brazen throne. Where do you think the armies of the Djinn and the Shaitan will go next if that happens?

Called the Gods & Prayer thing. Not that it makes me any happy.

In truth all is lost.

So, it was actually the Others? They realized the Wall was too good and decided raiding the planes was a solution?

Or is it the same dark that corrupted the Fae that are now called Others?

Ah, I'm sorry for the insinuation, DP.
I just... see way more threats than I can even think around, let alone operate, and I shut down.
:/
That recent list of mine just got "whatever's fucking up Axis" added to it, and that's just the unsubtle stuff.

I blame the Bloodstone Emperor.

@DragonParadox, has Tyangyl the Deva learned anything about the Breaking itself?

Viserys would wager the the Others are just a symptom of the disease. Willing patsies to whatever malevolence did this.

Since Viserys has made the connection in the past I can say it was not directly the Others. Beings that are simply of Winter have eyes that are frozen blue, those connected to a deeper malice, like the Frost Dragon have eyes like a starless night, a hungering void.

Axis is mostly chugging along. They lost their Inevitable factory long ago and never managed to rebuild so they are now greatly weakened, but not under direct threat.

...Lya can't get her soul-splitting capstone soon enough.
If there was ever a necessary research... :/

What's his theory on how the Bloodstone Emperor fits into this? Symptom, or cause?
You know too little about that IC to guess, but the fact that Viserys survived direct contact with the Bloodstone Emperor strongly hints that he is another symptom.

Whatever did this broke planes and the gods who protected them. Even Viserys isn't arrogant enough to think his will is stronger then that.

I like this.

This actually simplifies things. If the same thing that's behind the Others is also related to the sundering of All That Is Good or at least allied to it, then we actually have one foe rather than several and we have a way to leverage extra-planar allies in our own conflicts.

I bet that at least part of the cause for all of this is because the Others and their allies exist on our plane and have some power over it. It's called the Plane of Balance after all and booting them out can only be healthy for the rest of existence.

Sweet Christ.

This is bad enough that I'm actually entertaining the idea of calling on the Lady of pain.

We haven't yet crossed that threshold, but the fact that it's within sight tells you all I have to say on the matter.

Right, big problem, small solutions. Focus on what we can do rather than what we can't.

Small pockets remain, help them build up. Bigger areas rotted, cut them off if we can, heal them if we can't.

Never going to complete it in this lifetime, but then again we don't have to. All we need to do is focus on getting the ball rolling and helping those who will see it to fruition keep momentum.

Now, to find something stronger than scotch to drown out the screaming.

Well, I for one would say: Epic challenge. Muster the strength of prime material to rekindle the light. Because if everybody just says 'cannot be done', it will not be.
Now, to find something stronger than scotch to drown out the screaming.
He on the plus side: describe the importance of Robert.
Edit: Would that be an idea - show Robert Baratheon in a dream what we just learned?

So. It's time to go full scale WMD development, y'all.

Bioweapons for the Deep Ones, teleporting suicide drones, etc.

And since the Inevitable threat is no more, weaponized Gates and other cheese. Arrows of Annihilation, anyone?

Objections to temporally enhanced Greater Demiplane for accelerated crafting?

The Moonchaser will be completed next month. I think we should start working on another immediately, along with another wing of Wyverns.

Well, that's fucked. We really are going to need to start preparing weapons on an existential level, aren't we? Our little sideshow in Westeros is so utterly irrelevant, the goddamn Others are just pawns of a greater Big Bad.

So, if the Void's plan is to crash existence I guess fucking with the flow of souls is the correct idea.

Asmodeous probably realized this and tried to plot down in Heaven and is now going to fortify Hell for when the darkness comes for the Lower Planes

Can we develop trade routes between shards of Good aligned areas to help the strengthening and rebuilding process?

Of course we should seek out Lawful Neutral plane and figure out what is up with that so not helping keep balance.

Westeros is important because the Prime material plane is important. This is where the mortals are and it is their worship that sustains the gods, as well as some other aspects that have not been revealed yet.
