Wait, we talked to Lucan? When? What happened?

As Dywen, during the break when we were trying to talk to Olindor. We went toe to toe with him socially because our base social stats are bonkers and now more than a few people are probably wondering if Dywen is in fact a Chosen. This is also why Mr Planetar was/is so suspicious of us.

I'd prefer to leave the kidnapping to the Companions if at all possible, or if we really want Viserys there (we might given Mythic and other bullshit he can do) do so during the break so we can casually disappear whilst everyone is busy politicking.
Oh yeah, I meant "we" as in the party. It would probably be ideal for Dywin to be in Lucan's view while that stuff is going down, alibi's and all.

@egoo do we have time/resources left for divination/espionage tonight? Stolen Tomes, etc, etc.
Don't go asking me about this, lol.
The time-constraints are completely up to DP :V

But speaking about divination...
@DragonParadox, we had some divinations voted on before/at the start of Conclave, but not a word on them in updates. No results?
-[] Since Lucan should have a firm assumption that we are currently in Oldtown, use Divination spells to learn who he has told of this, if anyone, as well as keeping an ear out for non-related rumors that we are in the city. Check semi-regularly, at least on a daily basis, to learn who else he has told, or at least to get an idea of how far the knowledge has spread.
--[] Daily Divinations should include checking for unexpected trouble to arise which cannot be directly attributed to Lucan or others protected by Mind Blank.
--[] Finally, be sure to fire off a few Divinations to ensure that the Deep One cell didn't drop anything into the sewers during the battle.
The later one was supposed to be a bit more general, but whatever.

What's the end goal for stealing his Mages, because unless we're going to lock them up/keep them in smoky confinement until after the conquest there's not much else we can actually use them for.

I mean yeah, short term we can get Lucan and Tywin to play a game of He said she said with bladed weapons and watch them kill each other, but after that we're still stuck with umpteen loyal magic users who hate our guts on principal, let alone when they learned what their disappearance was actually used for.

Some of the non magic users who would die in that little tussle are possibly friends/family/lovers and the like.

If they have to die, then they have to die. They are the enemy. They are in the way.

And we are not good aligned.

The pragmatist in me says stick 'em on the tree. The realist in me says they function much better as bargaining chips to hold over Lucan's head.

I dunno
If Lucan suddenly attacks poor Brother Dywen he would give us quite a load of ammo.

Why would a Sorcerer Dragon known to nail people to trees chose to look like a dirty old man?
[insert every "false prophet" story here]

So we can kill them, but me wanting to firebomb a church full of priests and bishops with their angels present is suddenly going too far?

I think we need a chart or something.

To clarify, it's not the murder I have an issue with, it's the public murder. You have a way to make Lucan disappear in the dead of night with no one the wiser and you have my vote.

He's potentially highly useful. If we can keep him neutralised, I'd like to use him.
Honestly, I'm vary of keeping him alive, simply because he's a levelled, charismatic and dangerous spellcaster.
So what if Father makes another Chosen?
At least they'll take time to level again before the invasion.

With how Lucan is right now, I very much don't want him left alive and with possibility of getting yet more power by the time we invade.

Political usefulness of his is far outweighted for me by how annoying he is, with him having all the chances to become actual danger to us and our plans with more angels, resources, influence, etc.

There's also the fact that OGs will be happy with us, and we just happen to need a decent sacrifice to have them take part in making Tiamat-Snare...

*double checks*
Have you recently been bitten by a were-devil?
You sound like a were-Devil.

Just imagining that from the other perspective is hilarious. Like this old begging brother comes up to the group and asks a simple question and starts debating you on equal ground. From his perspective it must have looked like someone was both judging him and giving him the opportunity to acknowledge rumours. I am half expecting that tonight he is going to throw a commune about us and when it comes blank he will start asking "Is this a test?"

I have a suspicion we won't get much done towards our original goals until day 3. Both because we will need at least that long to get a proper grip on what this whole group looks like (at least well enough to confidently and correctly identify potential fracture points), and because we as Dywen do not have the personal and political clout to push things, and we know Danelle is coming then. From my understanding of Dywen, we could easily attach ourselves to any group around her and influence that. Please correct me if there are any incorrect assumptions or conclusions here, I'm much better at 1v1 socials than large groups.
That was my original read on the situation, too, but I'm not sure if that will hold true considering what we've learned and our tentative plans for tomorrow.

Lya can do Mythic bullshit, too. Xor would be a good addition to the group as well. He has some really nice mass incapacitation spells.

What @chryssalideater said.

Snowfire: *unsure tactical musings*
Goldfish: *ACTIVATING GOLDFISH PROTOCOLS*

Ah. But it's the defenition of that that is problematic.
You aren't being ruthless often enough.
:V

And for reals, @Goldfish, or @anyone else, I don't have the time to look up obscure-ish lore or shuffle through spelllist atm, can we, or can we not, target this specific Planetar and summon it?
:/

There is no reason to kill the mages, y'all. They can easily be kept in Smoky Confinement indefinitely. Remember, we are trying to avoid unnecessary bloodshed, and every decent mage is worth many dozen muggles when the final conflict against the Others kicks off.

Eh. I'd rather check if they can be de-programmed, those Archons we'll summon next month can be of help with that.
If they can't, then they are too dangerous to use, IMO.
I'd have them go straight down tree in that case, just like Tiamat's mages are too much of a danger to use.

If they can be de-programmed... well, there are possibilities there.

Let us keep the mages as hostages(because that is what they are) and interrogate them too. I imagine that they have quite a bit of information on what their organization has as members. As well as any interesting projects they have taken up. Of course it will be quite interesting to see behind the veil.

Not if they want to kill you for being the devil incarnate they're not.

He's literally connected to a god, even when we kill the fucker the next one the Father picks is going to have "the last guy was killed by the Dragon and the Old Gods, tell everyone, do not trust him, and prepare quickly" branded into his brain by divine light.

I'm not worried about doing this quietly, I just want it done.

Hm... it's sure good to know how the thread has developed without me around to drag everyone down to my fiendish level.
We learned form the best.

  1. You have access to any divination spell you would care to use, you have not made heavy use of spell-slots so far
  2. You have not spoken to Danelle yet in any guise
