I was looking to buy it, but this works... @DragonParadox, can we loot it, please?
Bah!Technically you can buy books from there, they are in the business of providing high quality sacred texts for high nobles. You would have to do it under a false identity obviously
How much for absolutely everything at the highest quality?Technically you can buy books from there, they are in the business of providing high quality sacred texts for high nobles. You would have to do it under a false identity obviously
Any chance of getting their exclusive works as well, if there are any?2500 IM for the best illumination and calligraphy on everything. Those would be more works of art than they would be books. In fact texts of that quality are usually commissioned years in advance. It would take a pretty good story to justify wanting to buy them on the sot.
Not a big deal, but I could care less about how pretty the books are, @Duesal. It's the information they contain which matters.2500 IM for the best illumination and calligraphy on everything. I want them anyway. I want complete collections of the holy texts of every single religion we're going to lord over. Not a big deal, but I could care less about how pretty the books are, @Duesal. It's the information they contain which matters.
And highly decorated, over-illuminated books are a pain to read, IMO.
Oh, woopsie.
Not important at this particular juncture, but means we'll need to modify the Honesty and Deception plan once we get to that point.
@DragonParadox, how much progress for a research action on how to shrink magical items?Damn it... it's far too fun in an idea so in order to get the narrative and the mechanics to work there is something about that particular sword that makes it shrinkable. You can even do a research action on it if you want.@DragonParadox Not that I want a retcon, but can we now assume that Lya has further broken the laws of reality and figured out how to use Shrink Item to affect magical items? If so, that is awesome, and my anti-Mindflayer fortress bombardment scheme will need some editing."It's gonna cost you more," he says at last. "Worst thing a man can do is kill you... but that shit..."
"I had assumed as much," you answer, the easy agreement seeming to startle him. "However, I will be providing more than gold to line your pockets."
On cue Lya draws forth the silvered bastard sword you had found in Essaria... from her pocket, having shrunken it to little more than the size of a needle. "Behold your blade!" she declares grandly, then before the dumbfounded look has a chance to fade from his face she breaks the spell upon the weapon, returning it to its proper size.
Bronn laughs along ruefully at the jest, though he does then ask, "That's going to stay like that, right? I'd hate to be stuck with a flea-sticker in the middle of a fight..." He trails off, a positively beatific smile on his features.
Using Dywen isn't a great idea in the first place for something that isn't straight diplomacy if he could be connected to another violent action, since he's supposed to be a "man of reason and peace"... just not reasonable by the standards of Orthodox Seven Worshipers (you know, all that HERESY).
Weapon propulsion was definitely an application I saw. I am seeing Colossal enchanted exploding spears shrunk to more manageable sizes so they can be properly hurled.

Depends on what the Chosen says.A chosen is counterproductive. An agent of the Old Gods would be far more effective at making things all the more fractious at the Conclave.
