So I ended up doing work on the Braavosi contacts instead of the extra planar ones because the section was a mess. I got rid of some redundant thugs (and the Moonsingers), moved the Windwards to the proper sheet, added Lady Uraka and updated the info for the Sealord, Relor and Jorel Fairwind. Extra planar info incoming next

@DragonParadox, how does Alysande Redsail have Uncanny Forethought without Spell Mastery ?
I suggest giving her 2 Flaws and have her take Spell Mastery twice. Or Spell Mastery + Eyes to the Sky (fluffy as hell, but very weak on her).
She also has no level 5 spells prepared, and knows criminally few for someone with a national budget behind her. Sure she isn't as rich as us, but not buying a single scroll from us? Really?

The Sealord's class choices are painful to see, but they make sense. Still, even Rogue levels would have been better... Ah well, he's his own man and he seems to have better priorities than retraining. Fitting for an institutionalist, anyway. What is personal strength before the might of the Secret City?

And I just noticed that the first threadmark is no longer the "choose a character" update. Maybe you should remove the old Myrcella Omake from the threadmarks, or put it in another category? It's super jarring now, because it feels like the first story update.

  1. I'll fix the feat in the morning
  2. That is less a case of her not having them and more an instance of me not wanting to get bogged down in spell selection
  3. The character selection is still there. It's just spoilered

A few quick suggestions, themed for a Silver Eye agent:
  • Refusal. Longlasting protection from most Fey and mages that doesn't affect your own martial characters? Perfect!
  • Mage's Private Sanctum. We know that she wants it.
  • Prying Eyes. Silver Eye, it's in the name!
  • Lightning Leap. It's an attack spell and an escape spell all in one! Screams "Fey", doesn't it ? She could have gotten the scroll from one of them.
  • Hold Monster. She likes enchantment, doesn't she? Otherwise I would have suggested Baleful Polymorph. She has a Heart Tree, and nonlethal spells are good for law enforcement.
  • Greater Dimension Door. Amazing spell, especially for leading attacks with your allies.

Thanks. I think it's fair to add all of those since she will have gad the time and money for scrolls.

Xorn added to the sheets and I think that is where I stop for the night.

The updated contacts page is looking much better, @DragonParadox. I had noticed the Windward guys were still listed there a couple weeks ago, but forgot to mention they should probably be removed since we have sheets for them in the vassals tab.

Actually, I think two or three of them are still missing, @Crake. No hurry, just a friendly reminder poke!

We're missing Lohos Saan and Koron Redmane.

And I'm not sure if Grazdan's sheet has been really fleshed out to the degree that Menel and Aubert's were, actually.

So I've been noticing less and less in the way of votes and discussion in the past few days, is it the fights getting repetitive or the politics and intrigue?

I have been really busy.

But I'm enjoying both, so... I haven't complained about either. And try to chip into discussion a bit.

I think it's fair to say people are eager to get to the next month, but I plead with you that you let us finish out the month as normal, because A) we're almost done with the tournament anyway so we need to see the Finals for sure, and B) we have a little bit more planned, I think we had at least one more MirrorVision speech to do that @Azel mentioned, and the other final touches.

I wasn't planning to skip anything at this late a date I just wanted to know what might need fixing or streamlining.

I think it's a combination of some of us being busy and the current month coming to a close which doesn't really leave us with a lot of decision points remaining. We're setting the course, but nothing is in contention, which is what tends to cause more voting and discussion.

The pace is great, though, and I'm loving the larger than average updates. This is just a natural lull before the next month starts.

You are going as fast as you can without going back to four updates a day.

Which i would probably be trying if most interludes were not as tricky to write as they are with eight people doing eight distinct things not-quite-simultaneously in the span of six seconds.

Don't get me wrong they are fun to write but by the time I'd done with one I can't muster up for inspiration for another that day since over and above the crunch they have to explore some aspect of the world or the characters, preferably both.

The month has been going on for a while now.
It'll be coming to a close soon enough. I'm not in a hurry to see it end, but I am really looking forward to the closing ceremonies of the Festival, including launching the Yi-Ti expedition fleet. It's gonna be...momentous!

EDIT: The political implications of the Festival are going to be interlude fodder for months to come, too. The reaction of Westerosi powers-that-be is going to be fun to see.

Everyone is going to fucking wonder who turned traitor.

And then they are going to wonder if they want to call it "turning traitor" because more and more the astute political decision to make is to not call it treason when you're on the losing side.

Thanks for the feedback guys, good to see nothing is seriously amiss. I will keep things going as fast as posibile while covering everything that we have been building up to.

On that note good night, see you tomorrow with the wrap up from bear Island and the inquisition vs arcanum fight.

"Don't be an idiot, of course this isn't a Valyrian Steel longsword!"

"Looks like it to me."

"Where could I have possibly found a Valyrian Steel longsword?"

"Well..."

On reflection, have we made an overture to someone not a Great House (not counting them because they generally at least think they have the collective bargaining position to hedge their bets/divided loyalties) that didn't succeed in gaining their fealty by the end of the visit?

You know, Ferrego Antaryon considers Viserys a friend, citing his political acumen as one of the primary reasons why. Not, you know, being able to turn into a dragon.

Whereas I am deathly certain that we have picked up at least a couple Houses who made their final decision based on that fact. :V

Damn. This tournament really has gone to hell:
  • If Melisandre wins, it's a huge boost for the Red Faith. Not an issue if we fully Diplomance Melisandre, but a problem if we're trying to curtail their influence.
  • If Amrelath wins, it looks like we're showing off by having our pet Dragon win the whole thing.
  • If team Inquisition wins it's a huge boost for the institution, but it's also problematic because Varys will have been punking giant monsters and that looks terrible (we told the Companions to stay out of it for a reason, you know).
  • If Team Arcanum wins, it looks like we were showing off again (they're all clones of the Empress!). On the other hand it'll be a boost for Lya's personal rep even among the plebs, which will be nice for her at court.
Any preferences, people? Who are you rooting for now?
I like the idea of the Inquisition winning, but I find it very unlikely.
