I protest this, and actually like the idea that they've got Landwardens slaved to their forge sites.

That means we can prod the ones buried beneath them into violently tearing them apart.
My general line of thought was that the Landwardens were a thing Valyrians resorted to specifically because they didn't have the innate talent for flesh-warping that actual aberrations did. A Mindflayer fleshcrafter might work better with an enslaved Landwarden, but they shouldn't strictly need one IMO.
Viserys is not sure, though that breach to the elemental plane of fire you blew up could be a clue that they use extra-dimensional energy,
Speaking of that, we entered in a Forge Room, didn't we? Do we have any idea whatsoever what kind of weapons they were making there? Do any of our Mindflayer or Ulitharid trophies know?

Also in case anyone's wondering the reason most of her feats are psionic as opposed to say Skill Focus (Weaving) is that she has is now bonded to a body which was originally conceived to hold much greater psionic power when the Deep Ones usurped it to their own ends.

Considering the fact that beings from the Far Outside are ailen... has the possibility occurred to anyone that the Mind Flayers may be trying to diplomance us, in their own special Ithillid-y way?

No, they were explicitly trying to infiltrate us.

But if asked in public, please tender the note to them that 'I don't feel so good'ing Jeyne's remains in their workshop with a deadly magical disease was our way of saying "it's the thought that counts".

Speaking of Landwardens...
@DragonParadox, just how soon the Landwarden that is under Lys will settle in in OG's collective?

Would it be possible to use our Weirwood Staff to connect it to whatever other Landwarden we find and have them directly diplomanced by a Landwarden that was successfully freed by us?

I kinda suspect an auto-success on Diplomacy then, even on much more toiled Landwardens :V

Here's my proposed power list for Jeyne, @DragonParadox. They're not necessarily the "best" possible powers, but I think they are a good mix between useful and character appropriate, along with the powers of Call to Mind and Control Objects which we've already seen her use.

She's been a victim, in more ways than one and to more than one kind of monster (human or otherwise), so I see that as causing her to instinctively develop powers to protect herself and to make it less likely she will be victimized again in the future. This translates into defense-oriented powers and those which improve her senses or and ability to discern threats.

Powers Known (Manifester Level 5/6[Overchannel]):
Level 1: Call to Mind, Control Object, Force Screen, Inertial Armor, Vigor
Level 2: Biofeedback, Detect Hostile Intent, Energy Missile, Zone of Alertness
Level 3: Mental Barrier, Touchsight

Thanks, this looks like a very nice mix added.

Would you guys like snake vs arcanum or an update next?

Aww. @Goldfish, I liked Psionic Glyph of Warding. An excellent downtime spell!
Yeah, but not one Jeyne really has any reason to have learned at this point. Ever since she "woke up" in her puppet body, she and Roger have been wandering around Westeros, presumably adventuring occasionally. Glyph of Warding doesn't have much use in that case.

[X] Seek out one of the other visitors from Bear Island
-[X] Ask Wyl to lead us to them and make introductions.

I just had an odd thought. Does SD offer veterinary services for pets? And if not, we definitely should. That seems like something Vee would be interested in getting started.

Unlike many of my kindred, this spiderfish abomination doesn't like scary movies.

I was just thinking about people and their pets. The wealthier one becomes, the easier it is to have a pet that's simply a companion rather than a working animal. SD is growing quite wealthy, and it's citizens along with it. It only makes sense that we would want to cater to the burgeoning pet care market.

It would also go hand in hand with what will surely be a booming Familiar care and pampering market in years to come.

Given Vees involvement, the important role of animals in business activities and the fact that healing spells are not specicist, I would wager that the House of Healing is qlso doing veterinary work.
