I considered it but since the duplicates cannot use magic there isn't much they would be able to do against Mel. I had her keep her swift/immediate actions for Alter fortune
Could they have thrown Alchemical Items?

@Goldfish, do her duplicates look like her, or is their nature obvious ?

Still, keeping Alter Fortune available was a valid strategy. Teana is clever, as always.

The difference between a sixth level caster and an 8th level caster is the difference of night and day apparently. God damm I'm impressed especially by Teana whol still made her bleed

Yes they could have but those generally have low save DCs.
Of course! I was mostly thinking of fights against opponents without Superior Resistance :)

And a note for next time: Firestorm is shapeable and fills at least 32 ten-foot cubes at caster level 16. Melisandre should have been able to immolate the entire enemy team as needed, not just Wylla.
I'm not asking for a retcon (she won anyway) but it's a thing to remember. An Empowered Fire Storm is a nice way to even the numbers when it's 4 on 1 :D

ASWaH taught me something valuable over these long years.

"Geek the Mage" doesn't work if EVERYONE is a mage! :V

Not without fuel air explosions, anyway. Gotta level a couple city blocks to make some headway.

An eight level dual caster min-maxed for action economy is not exactly an ordinary mage anymore than Viserys is an ordinary sorcerer. Mellisandre does not have a party because she can fight like a high level party on her own, as long as her spells and turn undead uses hold out. And since she lacks staying power she is also armed to nuke things down quickly.

Also "Geek the mage" doesn't work if the mage is impossibly tough and has sky-high saves.
So if he's a dragon or a Cleric.

Well, Yrten, Siduri and the Drow are bound to defeat Team Green and face Mel next. I give them good odds. If not, it's Amrelath in the semi-finals.

Yes. They could have also attacked physically.

Having them out and about makes Teana much, much more difficult to defeat, @DragonParadox. Did she at least use her Shadow-Traced template, which makes her Shadow and Illusion spells more effective, while giving her good SR and other perks?

*Looks at the latest Advanced Launcher currently in balancing phases*

Uhhh.... >.>
"Our enemies field soldiers that could as well be experienced mages. If mages were trained as brutes. We need something to cope with that."
"We do have some ideas, using items and fleshcrafting to level the field ..."
"What are you waiting for? Where is my first improved legion?"

I may have designed a belt-fed grenade launcher...

Which fires Alchemical Munitions instead of Alchemical Items...

Team Knight has a chance. If a meteor came down and hit Ameralath and knocked him out then they could win. Also it would have been a great April fools joke to do such a thing.

Team knight could whisper "Pazuzu" three times, sell their souls and beg him to kill Amrelath?
Oh wait, they couldn't. They aren't Mind Blanked, our House of Mirrors would see it coming.

In fairness if any of them actually manage to hurt him (which is honestly unlikely but still a possibility) Amrelath would be impressed and consider them for recruitment.

I want Melisandre and Amrelath to duke it out.

Also I'm saddened that no Archons from Yrael presented themselves for this. It would have made our tourney even more inclusive. Also lets them beat our Erinyes, if they can touch them.

Who would be stupid enough to do this? And survive past all the other numerous mechanisms of natural selection, that is.
