Walder Frey is basically a rapist why do we condone that? I mean I understand getting the freys support but why do we allow that? I mean he has sex with girls who clearly don't want it and cant really refuse him.
We can't really punish that yet.

Removing the pressure born of political marriages takes a cultural shift we'll have to work on for a long time.

Technically Westerosi marriages already require the woman's consent, so we couldn't even change the law for the better.

We can make it clear that we strongly dislike families pressuring their daughters into unwanted marriage, but to have that truly penetrate the culture and end up ingrained in the minds of fathers, husbands, mothers and daughters alike will propably take a generation or two.

Edit: Or sons of course, those can fall victim to arranged marriages as well.

Stannis is not exactly happy with Selyse either, but somehow nobody ever minds that.
I do.
He is one of the reasons for my edit, besides Edmure in canon.

Though it impacts the men less, since for the women it means a new and unknown home, household and environment. All people they have to live with change, while it's only one person for the guy
In some cases even a new culture as for Catelyn going North.

@egoo
What was funny about the post?
It happens in real life with men and woman if mostly women. Its a double standard and people don't often pay attention to the mens problems in these areas laughing them off. A man got his dick off and everyone thought it was hilarious. A woman gets abused and its taken seriously.

Lets not get into political? No um gender debates? no thats still not right.

Fair enough, though Stannis in particular is someone who very clearly suffers from the situation. More so then Selyse to be honest.

In that specific case they are clearly both unhappy.

I doubt Selyse would have gone crazy fanatic as quickly as she did in canon of she wasn't very unsatisfied with her life before.

But yeah, sucks to be them.
Maybe we can invent a divorce that is not annulation to help them?
If the Florents get gutted for being devil-worshippers anyway there's not much political reason to keep the marriage, so divorce would face less resistance than in many other cases.

He could actually use that scandal to divorce her for "cavorting with fiends". It would ruin her reputation, but I think Selyse wouldn't be bothered by that. She isn't the most social person.

Stannis can grind his teeth and suck it up. I genuinely think that this isn't our problem at all.
The marriage laws in our realm are our concern.
Including the divorce laws.

I believe there should be a legal option for divorce without having to annul the marriage and going through issues with the church and all that.

If whatever laws we set down there can be used by one unhappy couple we happen to know that's great, but it's mostly about giving the option in general.

  • [X] Plan Killing Ain't the Hard Part
-[X] Use divination to handle everything of importance with the Florents, Reach devils, and whatever infrastructure they've built up before we move, as well as what state the squire is in, any measures taken to trap him, likewise with Garth the Gross.
-[X] Work with Lya to summon and capture the three devils at the same time as the others move so no warning can go off.
--[X] Quickly move to secure Garth with Ser Richard afterward.
-[X] Group 2, consisting of Daenerys, Sandor, Oberyn, Maelor, Lya, and Ser Erren will move to rescue the bastard and capture the Florents as well as any other cultists known of. They will then work with Ser Erren to restore Brightwater Keep to order and ensure when he 'returns' from the joust there will be a smooth transition of power, all the while in disguise to maintain plausible deniability in case things somehow go wrong and their involvement is revealed.

The Alchemical Stockpile has been updated with 8th month production numbers, along with minor deductions (for outfitting Anya and Mia).

@Azel For now I've also added all of the items created via Industrial Alchemy, including those which were going to be sold for profit. Should I remove those and just assume they are going into the economy?

Common Creations:
Weaponized Alchemy:
  • 3060 Alchemist's Fire
  • 552 Explosive Packs [1d6 Slashing & Bludgeoning damage (DC 15 Reflex save for half damage) per pack (up to 10 packs can be stacked to create larger explosions), with every three packs increasing the blast radius by 5' and save DC by +1. 2 pounds per pack.]
  • 14 Flash Powder [Blinds all unprepared creatures within 5 feet of its use for one round (DC 15 Fortitude check negates).]
  • 254 Fungal Stun Vial
  • 13 Fury Drops
  • 161 Incendiary Catalyst
  • 2609 Liquid Ice
  • 22 Rust Powder
  • 2384 Sleep-Smoke doses [One dose affects a globe 10 feet in diameter on the first round, expanding outward to a globe 20 feet in diameter on the second round, and being harmless thereafter. A strong wind can move the globe of sleep-smoke. Type: Inhaled DC 15; Initial damage unconsciousness for 1 minute; Secondary damage unconsciousness for 1d3 minutes]
  • 155 Tanglefoot Bag
  • 206 Thunderstone
  • 10 Water of Unlife [A direct hit deals 1d6 points of negative energy damage. Every creature within 5 feet of the point where the flask hits takes 1 point of negative energy damage from the splash.]
Poison:
  • 3 doses Spellscorch
  • 3 doses of Aspect of Mammon poison: Injury, Fortitude DC 35, 1d6 Constitution drain/1d6 Constitution drain.
  • 194 Doses of DC 28 2d8 strength monstrous spider poison (weapon oil)
  • 500 Doses of DC 20 2d6 strength monstrous spider poison (weapon oil)
  • 1400 Doses of DC 16 1d8 strength damage monstrous spider poison (weapon oil)

Fairy Cap
Source PZO1140

Price 250 gp

This toadstool's pale-gray cap is stippled with yellow spots. Its presence often indicates ley lines or fey bowers nearby.

Gather DC 20; Yield 1 dose

Terrain any near ley lines

Preparation A fairy cap must be gently simmered (not boiled) in a mixture of water and other natural ingredients for 1 hour; this requires a successful DC 20 Craft (alchemy) check. At the end of this preparation time, the yellow spots' color changes to bright orange or dark brown—there's a 50% chance of either development.

Use When eaten without proper preparation, a fairy cap is mildly poisonous (save Fort DC 13, onset 1 minute, frequency 1/minute for 6 minutes, effect nauseated for 1 minute, cure 1 save), but when properly prepared, it takes on a not-unpleasant tangy flavor. The final color of a properly prepared fairy cap's spots determines its effect when consumed. A cap with orange spots causes a Large or smaller creature to grow one size category, while one with brown spots causes the eater to shrink one size category. These effects function as per enlarge person or reduce person, except they can affect any Large or smaller living creature; the effects persist for 10 minutes in either case. Whether or not it is prepared, a fairy cap is quite chewy, and eating it is a full-round action.

Looks useful for our shocktroopers?
Particularly any Minotaurs in our service.

That's neat. Would be nice to cultivate somewhere.

I mean Walder is old now so it may be hard to...uhhh.... get it up. Oberyn is in the prime of his life so I'm putting my money on him. Robert is someone who won't have his life soon.

Oberyn is going to have access to life-extension magic. I think he's probably going to win by simple virtue of living longer.

@Goldfish @Azel if we're ramping up for Deep One work, we should start looking at setting aside a production line for Blackwater - check the stats here - to produce depth charges.

Azel, on the same sheet is an item called Fire Beetle Paste. The base dose can be poured out into a 15' line, burns for 1d4 rounds, and does 3d6 fire damage/round that halves hardness. We could probably use it as a base for HEAT rounds, after some refining.

We also need to arrange a raid on the kingdom of the Salamander Lich King in the Plane of Fire. He had artifacts of Cerulean Sign that we'll need.

Talking about Salamanders and PoF, @DragonParadox, do we have intel on how well our salamanders are doing there?
Would setting up a Heart Tree or two with beneficial effects be good idea now, seeing as we want those only in very well-defended positions where they are highly unlikely to ever be destroyed?
