Considering the unfortunate placement Bronn had at the sick tree when we wanted to cast resilient sphere in him, I wonder if we shouldn't warn the two with us to "Go to significant effort to stay within 10 feet of me because of anticold sphere limits"

Also, that would be a lovely spell to have its radius of effect doubled from 10 to 20, if we got an item for it.

The thread never fails to amuse. You are in a sacred place of the enemy of existence... and we are debating how to loot it.

The cave is too large to loot, y'all. Even with maximum buffs, it isn't even close to possible.

If we can find the heart of it though, the point from which the Others' power emanates, that might be something we can steal.

I still say it would be better to dig it up and carry it away for sacrifice, if we merely destroy it, the Others might be able to reclaim the power invested in it.
We can't loot it, since we can't Teleport from here and a mountain is still outside Viserys lifting capacity by a fair margin.

This thing is probably an over 8,000 year old sanctum of the Others, infused with their power. Even if they could reclaim all of the power invested into this, which I doubt, that would be like reclaiming the dust left from a torn down cathedral. Let them have it for all I care.

@DragonParadox , I have a question of a theological/metaphysical nature:

Seeing as how both Deamons and the Great Other are entities hellbent on exterminating all life, with a philosophy full of what seems nihilism behind each one, even if they come from different sources (negative energy and fey in the case of the Others, raw evil undiluted by either chaos or law in the case of Daemons).

The question is, what is the difference in motivations between both? Why are they not allied to bring doom to us all?

An unwillingness to share the spoils comes to mind as one obvious potential source of conflict, leaving aside any deeper truths.

We could cut it up, and take it one part at a time, sure it might destroy it, but some of the power might remain to be stolen.

I mean one can always stab things with a weir wood spear? I recall that was a method of sacrifice we didn't use much.
We could, but we could also go for capture if at all possible. For undead we have Spark of Life, after which we can bottle creatures.

If we can't capture, the corpses are still worth a lot to us, but as trophies, additions to the skull collection, and corpses for the Fungus Forge.

Oh no I was talking about the location itself. You think we could stab the centre and drain the magic dry from the place? No grown weirwood and magic be absorbed.
