Do we need to recommend certain spells or strategies to our Druid Leshy or can I assume that we'll get the benefits of those I listed in base set-up, scouting etc. and generally making any forested area an absolute death-trap particularly with Guardian Wasps.

I just realised how stupidly the average Targaryen mook outeverythings everyone else.
This is the standard armor of the lowest ranks.
Viserys can raise, without cutting into the general budget, more of these than the Reach (the richest land in Westeros) can muster INCLUDING peasant levy. This is on top of non Legion soldiers. Add to that Dorne, the Iron Islands, probably the Vale, half the Riverlands, half the Crownlands and finally the Reach due to opportunism. The North can be chokepointed in Moat Cailin/below the Neck and blockaded if they intervene. The Westerlands are vulnerable to naval invasion from the Iron Islands especially if the Reach is also attacking. The Riverlands are vulnerable to the Vale. The Crownlands and the Stormlands will get hit by landings and Dorne. Strictly speaking, Robert has no chance to win. Especially if we get gunpowder and standardize it as artillery and guns before landing.
@DragonParadox Does Viserys have IC reason to suspect Jaime and Cersei may be Aerys's children by rape of Joanna? It is a really interesting theory (and would certainly explain Cersei's ... unconventional tendencies). I'm pretty sure we can ask Bloodraven. If you deem it canon to this timeline, we can use it to really rub the salt in Tywin by revealing his golden children aren't even his and add one more layer of acid to the soup of Robert's cuckoldry. For extra humiliation, make Jaime and Cersei marry and form cadet branch House Goldfyre, explicitly spelling out no claims to the throne.

No in fact he has a good reason to think otherwise since the dates do not match up. Joanna was not in King's Landing when the twins would have been conceived. Also there is no indication that the Targ predisposition to... uncommon loves is innate rather than a cultural distinction gained from the necessity of keeping dragons in the family.

Actually, our number of Legionaires is currently lower then Dornes levies. Quality takes time, even with a lot of money and cheating with magic.
Best case, we reach parity with the Reach in raw numbers before the invasion, but I wouldn't count on it and we will need part of those troops to guard our Essosi holdings. Our biggest advantage are tech and quality, not training.
As for artillery, the first Siege Company should be ready this month. They have scorpions and launchers and together with our alchemy factories, they are basically artillery.
As for the Reach, said opportunism is precisely why a lot of people want the Tyrells lessened. They are supremely untrustworthy.
@DragonParadox, are we aware of Olenna's role in Reach politics? She would be a good person to talk to about the future of House Tyrell and the Reach.
You are. Everyone knows about the Queen of Thorns though few can guess her thoughts.

[X] Plan Wrap-Up
-[X] The Lads
--[X] In addition to the 5 Advanced Druid Lotus Leshies we already want to send with them, we will send a 5th level Wizard, 5th level Archivist, 4th level Battle Mage (Sorcerer), and 4th level Mystic with Benjicot when he returns to the Riverlands after the conclusion of the Festival. The Sorcerer and Mystic will receive their graduation gear one level early, on account of them being sent on such a potentially dangerous mission.
--[X] Also give them 5,000 IM to buy some basic gear as needed from the Shaitan. They can either try their luck on the Bazaar or take a trip with the Terminus, though it would take a bit to walk from there to the Opaline Vault and back.
-[X] The Walders
--[X] Ask him plainly what his request and / or offer is. No need to play coy.
--[X] If he requests something along the lines of our backing for his claim on the Twins, tell him that you will consider it and that you wanted to talk with Walder Prime about sorting our his succession anyway. Even though you can't promise him the twins, competent people in your employ will always find very rewarding positions.
--[X] Check the time. If you got enough, take Walder Black and visit Walder Prime.
Lovely. Then it might be a good idea to get in touch. Lay out the facts. Ask her if she would rather sit at the table that decides the post-war order and accept a few setbacks or if she would rather fight us head on and risk everything.
While we are likely to pick up gunpowder from Yi Ti, we're several steps behind on the whole "industrialized military" use of it.
I'm thinking we'd need a research project to figure out the production process, then we'd need to set up a production line for it.
At that point we haven't actually sorted out firearms or powder based artillery, so that'll take more research projects.
At the end of the day, it'll provide three things: a Double Crossbow replacement if it's mechanically advantageous; another type of artillery for our Boom Corps; and another type of explosive for us to add to our Boom stockpile.

Virtually useless on the Plane of Water, dangerous to even bring to the Plane of Fire, difficult to use on the Plane of Air, and less likely to be effective against most of the denizens of the Plane of Earth.
Ignoring that completely, it took centuries for firearms to develop to the modern weapons we are familiar with nowadays. I would not accept us reaching the level of useful and practical firearms in a few months.
We've duplicated the effects of some modern day technology, but every bit of it cheats using magic to bypass the greatest hurdles, even the Steam Cannons. Firearms aren't so easily fudged into existence using magic. I could go on listing reasons I don't want them in the setting. Suffice it to say, I'll do everything I can to prevent their introduction to the quest.
Cheap magic converters are easy to come by using the Energy Transformation Field spell. I kinda want DP to limit the availability of the spell, though, perhaps even outright ban it except for being used in rare circumstances like the damaged artifact we recovered in Valyria. At the same time, I want to use them everywhere.
It's so easy to abuse in so many ways, especially when we have beings in our service with At-Will SLAs. The Erinyes, for example, or even Maelor with his Invocations, could stand around all day spamming their abilities to accomplish any number of effects which would otherwise require extremely expensive crafting.
