I still want to nudge things so that we get an Imperial Common going, which is part bastardized Valyrian and part bastardized Westerosi. With the odd bits of vocabulary mugged from various other languages.

@DragonParadox, how are Infernal and Abyssal swearwords spreading? I'm pretty sure between the Legion and tons of sailors, we should be spreading some truly vile curses into the world.

The learn languages effect on the Dawn Tree should certainly help with that. I wanted to make it triple effect (Acutally Duesal wanted and I jumped on his bandwagon before he jumped out) but was shouted down.. I mean, I dont think making SD a bit more tanky with a wide area weirwood would help that much if the prospective enemy slew all companions, killed Yss, took out the harbor batteries and the legion garrison, fough off countless inquisitorrs, guardsmen, leshies, and B team members...

-it would help, but I much rather use other utility spells for the Dawn Tree. Something we wouldn't be able to get with money.

@DragonParadox are their any pests that are plaguing the other cities in our kingdom? Anything that the kids can handle? I would imagine that we would get messages of such things. Is the Golden fields dealing with something the Legion could stomp but the kids would have a decent challenge with? Like Bandits?

Sure, such things usually end up gaining the attention of the inquisition, though Viserys does not keep up to date with every dire rat infestation. You would have to look it up IC.

Ok. How much easier would it become to recruit Stannis if we offer him his own squad of Grammar Nazis?
@Azel, I officially propose bringing in some highly-specific curse words and eloquent sayings, that will be all shitting down on Tiamat.
Designed by Dany, of course.

Then, spread them throughout our Empire via... Well, usual methods.

If we aren't making latrines out of her skulls, we are going to make sure every time someone in our Empire is having a bad time, they blame her for that.
Very thoroughly so.

Hitting an enemy from every angle! Efficiently!

We're still aiming for the Language Learning effect, and I'm still in favor of it. I just pointed out that putting it as a triple effect won't affect anything other than range, and this tree is already going to have an island-wide range.

EDIT: Tldr, I'll be right there with you when campaigning to secure one of the effects for Language Learning.

By the way, while we are crossing the subject of Dawn Age Tree...
I'm dropping this as a minor action next month:

[] Have as many illithid-tainted citizens of your realm purged of this taint by holy waters of Merlin King.
-[] If taint is considerably high and has a considerable chance of wreaking a serious injury or death upon purging (tentacles on the inside, completely transformed tainted appendages, etc) - apply all necessary healing services available, up to calling on Vee for Regeneration spell.

With them gone, the only other thing stopping us from putting Cerulean Sign on Dawn Age Tree is Xor.
And we can manage an effect that will exclude him easily enough, I think.

This one effect will solve so many problems for SD's inquisition and guards that it isn't even funny.

[X] [Golden Fields] Sell 35% of the company shares and immediately reinvest it into expanding the operations in the Daughters March. (Gain no cash, but +1 Size for the company)

[X] [VS] Due to the VS stocks being slightly lower then expected, mulch the last Gigantic Fiendish Spider to make another 800 pounds.

[X] [The Girls] Putting their money where their mouths are:
-[X] "The two of you are close enough to my sister to know that I certainly did not like to involve her in these matters at her age. She had no choice back then, for the world didn't want to leave her out of it, but you two have." // While I doubt it will do anything, it can't hurt to check if they fold at the smallest bit of resistance here.
-[X] Assuming they stick with this: "Fine then, but I will give you any work without ensuring that you are ready for it. Glyra has been tasked to provide some fun and games during the upcoming festival in the cities of the realm. You will go with her and work under her. I will leave it up to her what you two will be doing and I will read her report on your performance afterwards." *dramatic pause* "Rest assured that reading Glyras chicken scratch, delivered on a torn grain sack, is a great sacrifice I make for the two of you."
-[X] "If her assessment is positive, you will train with the Inquisition here in the Deep for a while. This is in addition to your other studies and you will attend while disguised. Should you be found out or the trainers deem you unready for the work, we will table this until you have grown some more."
-[X] "Are these terms acceptable to you?"
-[X] If they agree, pay a visit to the Inquisition Commissar in SD and clue him in on the matter. You are expecting detailed reports and no molly-coddling. They will have to earn their approval, more so then any other recruit. His trainers will pressure them both physically and mentally, to make sure that they can actually do this. You would rather deal with their disappointment at being flunked out of the course then the results of them risking their lives for playing at being heroes.

A suggestion: have them pass or fail as a group. Either they all make it, or they all fail.

I am expecting them to fail, but that's not a bad outcome either.

Now that we already have a "perfect weather all year every year" effect we can put that on the dawn tree when the time comes.

@Azel, as a side note, can we make Kyla and Ysilla official Ladies in Waiting for Dany? I've been wanting to do that for a few months now, and DP said they'd both enjoy it when I asked.

I still strongly object to putting area denial weapons on a tree in SD that we will never be able to get rid off.

What if we find a way to make vegetarian brains for the Illithid? Do you really want a class of citizens that is physically incapable of entering the capital?
What about other friendly aberrations?

Also, it wastes an effect on a weapon, when we should use this unique tree to boost the whole Capital Of The World thing we got going. How often will even actually need this effect once the Illithid are dealt with? Never, that's how often.

When making choices for millenia, you need to consider millenia.

@Azel, just to be sure, please specify spider's venom and silk-producing organs cut out and stored beforehand.

This, basically. It would have been nice, but I'm not willing to exterminate Xor and all our aberration-tainted civilians over it.

I just remembered Embra, the Calif's niece.

We should send her a message regarding the festival we're holding and inviting her (and perhaps family as well so as to not sound presumptive or insulting to the Calif)

that we will never be able to get rid off.
we are trying just that this very turn with Lys Tree.

Yes, smaller in scale, but if it works...
Well, it will be but a matter of more sacrifices to change DA!Tree's effect given a need.

I'm not willing to die upon this hill, but I would prefer having Cerylean Sign over SD for the duration of of anti-illithid campaign at the very least.
