Good for Hermetia, and the Furies we assigned to her are probably happy that the residual instability means more fights for them.
She's under "Assets of the Realm" --> "Vassals"
Mereth:
Once a servant of Mammon, the dread Lord of the Third Hell, Mereth shares the grim and merciless purpose of her sisters in full, but she is also possessed of a cool almost predatory curiosity that is perhaps responsible for her offer to abandon the service of Hell rather than face True Death. The more one learns of her, the less it seems an accident that her most favored animal is the cat. She even has a sense of humor to match, something to be appreciated for sure... unless one is a mouse.

Actually, Viserys has a rather easy way to prove that the Laws don't affect him. He just has to reveal that he is a Dragon, rather than a Human. Of course there is more to it than that, but the folks in the Dresdenverse don't need to know that. All that's important, besides him hiding the fact that he is a Dragon, is that the Laws don't apply to inhuman creatures.
OOC: I tried to show more of what Glyra did, but then I realized that to do it justice I would have to write several interludes from the plotters perspectives and I just do not have the time or the room right now.
We should probably give her a ring of sustenance, it sounds like only needing 2 hours of sleep would be useful for her.Hermetia Aerebalys, ruler of Lys in fact if not in form, was not usually a light sleeper. She had slept past noon many a time to the frustration of friends, family, and tutors, and given the choice she would still rather not be up until the tenth hour of the day, but this was Lys and she had just been placed in charge of it in defiance of some of the city's surviving great noble families. So she had taken precautions, a potion stinging upon the tongue to make her slumber light as a feather, a dagger beneath her pillow.
If Breath Taker wants it to be, sure. He's the one getting it.
Yes, it needs to be updated. We'll try to get to that today.
The issue there is that he had a Soul Gaze with Harry. That's like the #1 "I am Actually A Mortal" proof in the DFverse.
Harry could feel soul gaze potential when looking at Ursiel, too.Soulgazes can happen with non-humans: see Dresden looking away from Vadderung in Cold Days to avoid a Soul Gaze. It just requires a mortal wizard on one end to kick it into effect.
Harry could feel soul gaze potential when looking at Ursiel, too.
- Found the conspirators and various key pieces of evidence all the while pretending to be various urchins
- Finally trapping the leader in the tunnels beneath Lys and bringing him in
I do think he avoided looking into Ursiel's mountain with eyes inside the Soulgaze? And he always avoids the magical eyes of the possessed people. Not exactly. There was an actual soulgaze there with the possessed miner, which was then interrupted by Ursiel going "Fuck off mortal".
Good idea. Added to the schedule, along with making her Ring of Detect Poison slotless. We should probably give her a ring of sustenance, it sounds like only needing 2 hours of sleep would be useful for her.
Nope buying Yss belt was still by far a greater bargain. The few thousand gold we spent on Glyra's good-fying ritual were probably, pound for pound, the best we've ever spent.
Just a note, the old version of Xth hour of the day usually means the hour counted from sunrise., and given the choice she would still rather not be up until the tenth hour of the day
I do think he avoided looking into Ursiel's mountain with eyes inside the Soulgaze? And he always avoids the magical eyes of the possessed people.
I think that should be 15 / 23, at least that's what I calculated as the DC for the turn plan.
Full casting mages (not Adepts or Hedge Mages) get them at 5th level.@DragonParadox What are the institutional effects of leading figures like Viserys, Companions, Alinor, or governor-like officials working long hours with little sleep?
With rings being standard part of a graduating mage's gear (for a lot of them if not all? @Goldfish) do you think there will be a culture among mages and senior officials for working long hours? Do underlings try to work late with their boss out of loyalty? I know this is the case with Alinor's minions.
