No, the cherry on top is if he is saying "to honour the proud traditions of Lys" while doing it.

That name is already sullied.OOC, I don't want to sully the name "Emperor" before we use it.
And then of course there's the Yellow Emperor in the far east, Hastur himself. I'm... more than a little terrified of that.
Not sure if that is an actual thing in this world. Hastur being a thing. And then of course there's the Yellow Emperor in the far east, Hastur himself. I'm... more than a little terrified of that.
*looks at deep oceans, Krakens and Illithids*Not sure if that is an actual thing in this world. Hastur being a thing.
For all we know the "Yellow Emperor" could be because of the color of his palace or something.
Unfortunately, GRRM was a huge Lovecraft fan, so quite a few eldritch horrors made it into ASOIAF. It would not surprise me in the slightest if at the very least the Yellow Emperor was an agent of Hastur. Not sure if that is an actual thing in this world. Hastur being a thing.

Yeah, no.
I'm not holding any hopes here.
Others dealth with, the next most likely apocalypse is, as always, Terrors From Beyond.

The Emperor of Valyria did in the Doom. That's dumb, but not too bad. That name is already sullied.
Bloodstone Emperor
Emperor of Valyria

Lovecraftian horrors very much exist in the Pathfinder cosmology, and that's where about 75-90% of what DP pulls planar lore and structure from rather than using traditional D&D lore. While aberrations are a well documented thing true lovecraftian gods do not exist in D&D without the GM MAKING them a thing. There ARE expies of them, but not that are directly the same lovecraft gods.
Or do you want this to become a multicross? Because that would make this a crossover for 3 different settings.
1. ASOFAI/Game of thrones
2. D&D
3. Lovecraft
If we add the exact same eldritch beings it would make this a multicross which means it will get really, really crazy.
See above.
And even if it does become a multicross my point still stands. Not everything that sounds similar has those meanings.

The Yellow Emperor is at least a few thousand years old and rules over the city Carcossa.
Definitely Hastur.

Trust me. I played a Cleric of Azatoth.

What do you think the Drowned God is? What do you think the Black Goat is?At MOST an agent, or maybe a super powerful monk.
But it has been stated that full blown edlritch gods cannot live in this plane simply because they are to big and the planar walls prevent something of their scale from entering.
..... Holy sh!t, that means pathfinder is, in and of itself, a crossover... That makes me feel oddly violated...
Hmm. I don't remember reading anything about him being a few thousand year old. I thought he was a new pretender. The Yellow Emperor is at least a few thousand years old and rules over the city Carcossa.
Definitely Hastur.
standard eldritch god expies. What do you think the Drowned God is? What do you think the Black Goat is?
Expies only in the loosest sense. GRRM has absolutely littered the setting with Lovecraft references, of which the Drowned God and the Black Goat were the most prominent. The Yellow Emperor being yet another reference does not bode well.
If it is indeed a refference at all.The Yellow Emperor being yet another reference does not bode well.
This is a fool's hope at best given the trends we've seen in this quest. If it is indeed a refference at all.
Just being the voice of skepticism (and hope), it might refer to something his country possesses that is very valuable (Ex: The Jade Emperor was not a possessed statue made of green stone) or something similar.
Infact, the name "Yellow Emperor" is, in fact, kind of calling himself higher than hastur if he truly does exist in this verse since hastur's title is "The Yellow King" and an emperor the king of kings (akin to the term "High King".).
I really dont want to deal with lovecraft's special brand of crazy. Seriously, it get's really f*cked up.
Until it is confirmed or disproved both are equally unlikely. Kind of like Schrodinger's Cat.This is a fool'a hope at best given the trends we've seen in this quest.
He can just declare himself Archon for life and dissolve the assembly.
@DragonParadox, that fine for you?
To be honest, I never before noticed that the Black Goat is Shub-Niggurath.Expies only in the loosest sense. The people in Qohor just got very, very lucky that they haven't already been fully consumed. To be honest, I never before noticed that the Black Goat is Shub-Niggurath.
