If he's undead then he's immune to turtling unless we manage to get a Spark of Life spell on him.
Liches are immune anyway.
3.5:
Immunities (Ex)

Liches have immunity to cold, electricity, polymorph (though they can use polymorph effects on themselves), and mind-affecting attacks.
Pathfinder:
Stable Form (Ex)

A dread lich is immune to all polymorph effects except those it casts on itself.

If it is a Lich then killing it may not be enough. We would have to find it container. The skull could certainly tell us where that is though but doesn't a Lich's body crumble upon defeat or is that something else?

The skull would know where the phylactery is - and the Lich would know that the spell exists.

I liked this update, I find it intriguing besides the typical "here is the bad guy"

Like, for example, why, of all the things, it decided to summon Tanar'ri? I mean, they are so, so far from the ideal servants.

"You did not accept my hospitality," comes mock-chiding answer. "This would have been so much more entertaining had I your semblance to see myself in." With a chill you realize your foe means much more than glamour or even simple transformation of the flesh. How much of your power could he have mirrored and what would he have done with it, you wonder grimly.
Can someone explain what he means by this? Could he copy our powers if we hadn't shown up in disguise?

Also, I loved the scene DP.

It would have allowed him to take Viserys' form and a measure of his power.

DP, what would the compulsion have done? Or at least what does Viserys feel like it'd have done?

It would have given you a re-roll... as in you would have had to re-roll every successful roll for the duration of the fight as Viserys' pride twisted his thoughts

I just realized we left fly demon alone without killing or turtling him, best hope he we finish this soon before he runs away or comes to help his master.

[] Ask Mereth what's going on upstairs.
-[] If nothing is on fire yet, nobody is dying from a failing ritual, etc., askhow he subverted this place once hallowed to the Many-Faced God
-[] If there is urgency, let the @Goldfish speak of fire and blood.

He's out for about 18 minutes and the ceiling will collapse long before that.
If we are dealing with regular collapsing-building damage he will survive and we can dig him out later, due to his lack of teleport.
If we are dealing with DPs overpowered ceilings he'll die.

If nothing else demons have to breathe so the damage is mostly academic in this case. It would suffocate in mere rounds after the collapse.
